Catastrophic Negligence, Recommendation of a TOXIC Medication, and Lies I Strongly Do Not Recommend!!!! It is with deep regret and outrage that I must warn all pet owners about this clinic. My experience was a series of glaring instances of negligence by the Medivet Ashby clinic, which led to the death of my beloved Labrador. 1. Lack of pain medication for a suffering dog. 2. Recommendation of TOXIC paracetamol for a dog with epilepsy. This is a fundamental, unacceptable error in veterinary medicine!! 3. Constant organizational chaos.Blood tests was listed on the full invoice without the client being informed. Blood test result in-house at my request;by email unfortunately, it was for another animal. 4. There was a lack of communication and lies about it The clinic demonstrated a complete lack of empathy, clinical competence, and honesty. I did not receive the full clinical documentation! With the correct registration date, microchip number, health checking and laboratory data. I strongly advise against this clinic for anyone who cares about the safety, health, and life of their animal. Above all, I advise all clients to demand test results, full invoices, and the medical documentation of your pet. Read Less

May I give my heartfelt thanks to the vets (both at Crowle and Ashby) who cared for our cat Cleo the last couple of days. I'm sorry I didn't catch any names, but the thorough and informative help was most appreciated. The vet's and vetinary nurses were the epitome of calm and kindly care. Sadly we took the hard decision to euthanise our sweet cat, not through lack of medical care but purely on her multiple problems. It was done with great compassion both for us and our Cleo. Thank you so much. Read Less

We transfered our two dogs to Ashby Road after continual bad experiences elsewhere. Today has proven that this was absolutely the right decision! I am eight months pregnant and took my very anxious (and sometimes scrappy) dog for further treatment of an ongoing problem. Through no fault of his own my dog was attacked by another patient. The staff here were incredible in helping me out. Being pregnant, I'm not always able to lift my dog out of potentially harmful situations. This was noted very quickly and reception staff promptly came to help me deal with the scrap. They calmed my dog and opened an empty room for us to relax and gather ourselves after the event. Staff repeatedly came to see us to check the dog and I were both safe and healthy. I cannot thank Ashby Road Vets enough for their help and reassurance today. Read Less
