The mistakes this practice made with my dog, on repeated occasions are too long to go into detail on a Facebook review. But if anyone is curious please feel free to message me directly for ALL the details. To cut a long story short this veterinary practice sent my dog home twice in one day after a dog attack, assuring me he was okay -- regardless of the fact he was urinating blood regularly, bleeding heavily from the wounds and is a greyhound (their blood is known to not clot upon injury resulting in internal bleeding). On the third visit, this time out of hours, the vet told me to put him to sleep. There was nothing they could do. I'll just add, this was after an hours wait, meaning I had to ask them repeatedly to please get my dog a bed as he could not stand and was laying on the hard floor. The out of hours emergency vet saw my dog as we waited and yet still took a dog with a limp in to the consult room before taking mine through, who by this point was heavily bleeding, struggling to stand and drowsy. Upon being told to put my dog to sleep, I ignored her advice as they had by this point proven their inability to make any judgment call on my pets health. I then rushed my dog to a specialist an hour away from home, being told by the vet at Springfield we may not get there in time and basically tried her hardest to make me feel awful for even trying. By the time we got there it was 1am at which point my partner had to carry my dog into the vets where they took him straight off us and ran several blood tests. These confirmed he had a well known blood disorder called Greyhound Fibrinolytic Syndrome. He was bleeding internally and had been ALL DAY. The vets at Springfield had charged me in excess of 300 that day, part of that cost was to test for this condition. The specialist told me "this dog is not ready to die" which he wasn't, he is alive and well now -- NO THANKS TO SPRINGFIELD VETS. He also told me "this dog should never have been sent home". I have been in regular contact with these people since and have not once received any form of apology. They have not once asked me to pay my remaining bill which I think speaks VOLUMES. The most recent letter was not even worth responding to as it has been lie after lie in some sort of ridiculous attempt to shut me up. I realise I am just one number when it comes to a big corporate veterinary chain, but word of mouth goes a long way. I spent over 5k saving my dogs life, the most recent letter where you try and accuse me of not taking your advice by letting you keep Zach with you is laughable. I will never, ever use your service again. I will never, ever recommend you to anyone again. And I will always make sure people know what you did to me and my beautiful boy. I only pitty the poor people and their pets who suffer at your ill advice.Read Less
