Lovely vets! I have two rabbits, and the vets are so knowledgeable about them! The reception staff are also really friendly, and the place is always really clean and tidy.

Guy & his team at St Mary's have always been so supportive. We highly recommend St Mary's, and we have always received excellent service. We have had our much loved pets registered with Guy now for over 11 years.

Sorry to hear this, but your criticism is unfair
I don't understand why (when you're registered at another practice!) you decided to arrive here unannounced.
It put our nurse in an impossible situation because she didn't have a vet on the premises to perform a miracle.
If you phoned us first, you'd have been given the correct advice of "go to your usual vet", and we wouldn't have been unfairly associated with this sad episode.
Updated reply 1/9/22
More unfair allegations which I'll address with you directly.
Yes, it might be unprofessional to get drawn into a social media spat, but this is the territory in which you chose to detonate your "wordbomb".
1) Your recollection of the occasion when we provided prompt emergency treatment to your cat, because he'd been brought here by a member of the public, seems to differ from ours. We assessed him and made him comfortable with strong analgesia while you phoned around. I'm not sure how many options you had explored, but your preferred one was to return here for us to put him to sleep and arrange communal cremation. You had told us that you couldn't get an appointment with your own vets on the same day. Helping you out with another emergency appointment went way beyond any professional obligation on our part yet, instead of any gratitude, our misplaced kindness has just attracted another unfair complaint.
2) I still don't understand what miracle you expected my nurse to perform.
3) I was actually working at "our" emergency vets in Lichfield on the morning you claim you called. They don't routinely ignore calls, and I don't understand why you'd have been calling them anyway. You are not registered with us, and (self-evidently) you should have phoned your own vets emergency provider much sooner.
4) To put in context who is dropping wordbombs, and who is speaking truthbombs:
"You were okay when my cat wasn't registered with yourself taking nearly 200 pound to put him to sleep"
Translates as
"We only charged £175 for 2 emergency consultations, a number of analgesic injections, euthanasia and communal cremation." This isn't anywhere near the correct price (and no I'm not OK with it). "No good deed goes unpunished".

The vet was very patronising to me when I first took my dog for a bladder issue the first thing I was questioned about was why I hadn't been to the vet for 5 year (this was because my dog has been in good health and its my choice that I don't have him vaccinated) then made an assumption that I did not have insurance by saying "I assume you don't have insurance" which I stated I do "oh well since you haven't visited a vet it probably invalidate your insurance" (spoke to the insurance about this and they said it does not). Then after collecting my dog a couple of days later I noticed on his stomach large scabs and lines clearly where he had been shaved so I spoke to the emergency vet just asking them if they shaved him once I heard from them they didn't. I spoke to this vet which I got oh it his skin issues as he had red circles well this does not add up to the lines (I train as a dog groomer and I clip my own dogs) so I got advice from tutors that had been in the dog grooming industry for over 20 years who confirmed that it was in fact clipper rash and the dog may of made it worse by scratching it which I accept as it irritating. I went back for the dog check up which I got told why did you not bring a sample (which I admit did not think of any way of getting one to them). He then went to check his stomach and saw the line as was said yes that the skin issue. When I showed the photos that I took when I saw the marks got told I was wrong even though I got advice. Then told that since we were not going to agree I should find another vet and since I had not been there to a while. I have never been spoken to like that I was trying to be respectful at the start until he become the rude and patronising towards me. I would not recommend this vet to anyone
I also raised it was the royal veterinary college when I felt his response were disgraceful and they were not satisfied with he repones either Read Less
