My family and I have been with Orwell vets for many years and have always appreciated their friendly, professional service. The team really get to know the pets and treat them as a part of your family which, for us, they most definitely are. We have been unlucky with our dogs health, but everyone at Orwell have helped us through all of it. Their compassion, dedication, honesty, loyalty and professionalism have helped us when we have had some dark days. I can not find one fault with them, as individuals and as a company. Our boy Marley had yet another operation a couple of weeks ago and once again, the staff at Orwell made it easier for us just by being friendly and helpful. We have been clients of Orwell Vets for some years now and cannot praise them highly enough . The fact that our dogs can't get through the doors quickly enough speaks for itself , the staff, nurses and vets always cheerful and welcoming which puts both animals and owners at ease . I would NEVER recommend Orwell Vets, James one of the partners is one of the rudest most discuting people I have ever come accross. I have a very ill german shepherd who had to be seen by a specalist and not only was fraud committed on our insurance by the specalist but we were then dropped as clients of Orwell and both companies caused such a fuss my dog is no longer insured for his condition that costs around 2k ever few months. I will give credit where credit is due, Zoe was fantastic with my dog and helped us to work out a treatment for him but James will quite happily breech confidentiality and the second you question anything he will go for you. We paid that vets a FORTUNE and 3 weeks after we were "Apparently dumped as clients" they had happily taken 3 lots of 420 to keep him in over 3 nights and also for all the medication. Then one day I get told by a staff member that they are no longer allowed to talk to us and that we are never to contact them again. I had a very unpleasant call from James after I pointed out that no letter had been sent to us Apparently 3 weeks earlier) the next day one turned up saying we were no longer clients. James also rung around most of the vets in Ipswich and made sure we couldn't be clients of theirs so we now have to travel back to another town. I am disabled and my german shepherd helps me and is my protection and for him to be so sick and not be able to be seen quickly until we get to another town and have no 24hr vet here willing to see him is heartbreaking. If they cared about animals and their health they would suck it up and put things to one side and be professional and help my dog. It's NOT about the care of the animals for him it's money in his pocket and he is one of the most fake nasty individuals around. I have done some digging with the power of facebook and there are so many people that have said stay away from Orwell and Named james in particular. Read Less

Highly recommend Orwell Vets who took on our wonderful Mr Purrkins who suffers with the calici virus. He had all teeth removed except for his canines and is transformed, he eats, grooms, plays and is no longer in pain, James, his vet, was caring but honest, and guided us through the process with no rush. Our 2 year old boy finally has a chance of a decent life after his horrific beginnings in Cairo.Read Less
