A car ran over my neighbor's dogs a few days ago,it was 11 o"clock in the night and they took the dogs to this vet.They advised him that 2 000 pounds would be needed if they were to care for one of the dogs,if not they will put the dog down.How you can give an approximate price without doing nothing for this animal at this time !!! Also the other dog was sent back home,they told him the dog was OK.The next morning he had to go back there with his dog and they put and that one down also because the dog had a ruptured bladder .How they didn't see that in the first place.This service is meant to be available for the animal is in desperance need for immediate assistance,but once again the only thing that drives this practice is monetary !!!Really need to look at what they stand for .BE WARNED!!! Staff is always very friendly, yet professional. Everybody is treated with respect. They have often gone above and beyond the call of duty for my pets and as a breeder as one of the worlds rarest and smallest cats I can't praise them enough. Always consulting with me about financial implications of treatment and always giving me all the options and information so that I can make an informed decision. The waiting room is welcoming, adequately heated in winter and always clean and hygienic. I have used other vets in the area including their Gorleston branch, but nobody is as friendly and welcoming as the staff at Lowestoft Vet Hospital. Read Less

It is a good news, that exotic animals are accepted in this veterinary hospital. Unfortunately our pygmy hedgehog was very ill (nerve degeneration). First of all they gave him a steroid injection and we observed him for 2 weeks. For couple of days it seemed he is better. Finally he lost his sight as well and had less and less power to walk. To prevent for more misery we (by the vet's suggestion) decided to put him down. She made it very gentle and humanity. Few days later we've got a sympathetic letter too. Read Less

I had to rush my darling Ted to the hospital on Friday afternoon, after calling for an emergency appointment. As soon as I arrived as you can imagine in a panic, the receptionist dashed through to tell the vet we had arrived. Sergio called us through, and began to ask me the symptoms. Explaining with a shaky voice and tears Sergio took his temperature and realised he had a fever. He whisked Ted through to commence treatment. Sergio,Tim the nurses and the whole staff team were amazing. They kept Ted for 48 hours and looked after him as if he was there own. We have never been seperated for so long and it was hard on Ted, and our little family not having him with us. When we collected him on the Sunday afternoons fought to keep the tears of joy at bay.
