My beautiful dog was put to sleep on Thursday. This was because she had a womb infection - Pyometra, which had become too advanced to treat. Her uterus was full of pus which was slowly leaking into her tummy.  She was taken to our vets  (Kessingland branch of Three Rivers) 2 days running and misdiagnosed on both occasions with 2 different reasons as to what was wrong, and this was by 2 different vets. One of whom was the senior vet and one of these appointments was an emergency appointment at night. As a result of their incompetence her last days would have been agony for her. On the 3rd day I went in without her to discuss her symptons with a 3rd different vet. She was going downhill fast. On the 4th day running she was taken to a totally different vets practice who instantly picked up what was wrong and scanned her to confirm it.  By then it was so advanced that the kindest thing to do was to put her to sleep. It has nearly destroyed myself, husband and the kids. My baby suffered needlessly because of the incompetence at the hands of one branch of vets and as a result had to be put to sleep. Had this have been picked up on her 1st visit to that vet things may have been very different now. I have complained to Three Rivers vets and been told by the exceptionally rude clinical director - that the vets there did nothing wrong and diagnosed her correctly on each occasion. The diagnosis on the 1st visit was Arthritis. On the 2nd visit apparantly she had reacted to the painkiller from the day before, and the 3rd visit they decided she had worms. Not once despite now discovering she had classic textbook sypmtons did they pick the Pyometra up, or offer to scan, xray her or do blood tests.I had never had Coco spayed as instead had my boy dogs neutered. This was based on their advice also!!So if anyone uses or is considering using Three rivers vets please please think carefully and remember our story. Read Less

Brilliant! Had my male rat castrated at the Norwich branch. Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Plenty of reassurance and information at consultation. Upon collecting him, he seemed very well, considering he'd just been in surgery. Plenty of information for aftercare, including a sheet. Prices are very good too. Highly recommend!! Read Less

I wouldn't go anywhere else. I have used Three Rivers for years, buy when my greyhound was rushed in with a broken leg, we received 5 star care the whole 3 1/2 weeks he was hospitalised over Christmas, the nurses caring for him gave him so much love and care, and all the vets involved were amazing especially Matthew. I had updates twice a day, and everyone was so lovely and helpful. My beautiful boy is recovering well and if it wasn't for the service we received, after all his complications I'm not sure he'd be here now. Thank you all so much, Hannah and Lemmy x Read Less

I really would like to thank Beccles three rivers vets for the quick response they gave me when my cat gizmo was poorly. After a initial phone call at 10.30pm on a Friday night I had gizmo at the vets within 15 minutes. Thanks to tessa's quick response my boy is well on the road to recovery , after being diagnosed with asthma. Nothing was to much hassle and I had an update call everything something changed or discovered. I truly would like to thank Tessa for all the support she gave us all and for putting up with me crying everything she rang . Thank you so much for looking after my kitty so well . I wouldn't trust anyone else . Thank you so much . Dani , Leon and an every so slightly wheezy gizmo .Read Less

I took my kitten to the Beccles branch recently for his second vaccination. I was the first appointment of the afternoon but the vet seemed rushed the entire appointment as if we were an inconvenience. He very roughly checked my kitten over, who had starting shaking on the table at how awfully he was handled, exclaiming 'hmmm' and asking various questions. The way he spoke made me feel upset as it seemed there was something wrong. He then said he fine and jabbed him with the needle. After giving him a dose, he then weighed him (only after I'd asked as the paperwork asks the weight when you write in the vacc info). He grabbed my kitten with one hand, held him at arms length and dumped him on the scale. When he returned him to me, he practically threw him at me saying 'have you got him' as he hurried me putting him in his basket. I then was herded out of the door. This complete disregard for my feelings and the state of the room (loose, torn and grubby plastic on the table, stains and marks on walls and cupboards) means that I will never return to this practise. I wouldn't trust them to look after my pet, as they didn't even do this when I was in the room.Read Less
