I was adopted by an old cat at 8pm on Christmas Eve 2019. After slowly getting to know and trust me, she marched through my door and announced she was moving in. She's a funny old girl aged about 15 years and has a severe heart condition. I have to say that Rivendell Vets, in Ash Vale, especially Kevin and Gemma, have really taken exceptional care of my crazy cat. They always go that extra mile and have both our deepest gratitude. And what's even better is that Rivendell Vets have just opened their own 24/7 veterinary hospital which charges the same rates as our usual clinic. Simply Purr-fect.

This is a fantastic practice that has been looking after my cats ever since it opened in Ash Vale, and I recommend them unreservedly.
The staff are wonderful and absolutely bend over backwards to help; whether it be routine, emergency or the final horrible decision, they are empathetic and caring and it's totally genuine. My pets have all been crocks - not a clean MOT between them - and this practice has treated them all from the moment of rescue to the ends of their lives, always working round their quirks and my circumstances...including translating everything into IdiotSpeak for me to ensure I'm giving my animals what they need.
I can't recommend this practice highly enough. There is none of the subtle pressure for expensive and/or intrusive procedures some corporate practices can impose, and if your pet's time has come the team help you make the decision the best way for both of you. Sentimentality is easy but it's rarely helpful and I know I can trust this practice to do right by my animals - Kevin (resident vet and Fluffy Whisperer) is kind and gentle even if Fluffikins is threatening to tear his face off, and that trust is beyond price.
The only down-side is that they refuse to euthanize me. Huh.

Debbie, James and all the vets are fantastic. We have used them for ten years and they are the most friendly, helpful and compassionate vets I have ever used. Can't rate them highly enough.

If I could I would give 0 stars. I have been a dog owner all my life and visited some good and not so good clinics in the past. This one is a total rip off!!! They make you pay even if you want to ask...
If I could I would give 0 stars. I have been a dog owner all my life and visited some good and not so good clinics in the past. This one is a total rip off!!! They make you pay even if you want to ask a vet a question!! Rude receptionists (met 2 and they were both rude). They didn't help my dog and I wasted my money on them. Please avoid!

She's a funny old girl aged about 15 years and has a severe heart condition. I have to say that Rivendell Vets, in Ash Vale, especially Kevin and Gemma, have really taken exceptional care of my crazy cat. They always go that extra mile and have both our deepest gratitude. This is a fantastic practice that has been looking after my cats ever since it opened in Ash Vale, and I recommend them unreservedly.
The staff are wonderful and absolutely bend over backwards to help; whether it be routine, emergency or the final horrible decision, they are empathetic and caring and it's totally genuine.
