Have had two dogs under their care over the last 11 years,one a mini schnauzer became ill 3 years ago with hepatitis. Parkside saved her but sadly we lost her 18 months ago to cancer, but the care and love as well shown to her was wonderful from all involved.Nrw dog Robbie is receiving same care for a leg injury Can't praise Parkside enough. This is such a friendly practice and has been recently redecorated. The main improvement which could be made is making the distinction between the cat and the dog waiting area clearer... if indeed they are supposed to be separated; it's not clear! Last time we had an appointment, there was only a woman with two dogs waiting but she was sat right next to the tower for cat baskets. When I put my cat basket there and sat down, one of her dogs was pawing me and she was offended I'd sat there, moving to the other (dog?) part of the waiting area and saying huffily that clearly she'd have to move. Putting pets and people before profit!In a world where "good business" doesn't actually mean a good business, as all they want to do is take your money and make the money, Parkside vets centre certainly is the exception, not only were the staff friendly and helpful, including the receptionists who I normally feel are vetting me ( excuse the pun) to dissuade me from coming there as I wanted the free appointment and had no money for treatment.Instead I and my suddenly blind cat, although hopeful that the treatment given will reverse this soon, were given an appointment almost straight away, forty minutes to be exact. On seeing the doctor, whom I could tell not only had the credentials/knowledge in her field, but had a true passion and love for animals, as well as being able to empathize with an obviously distraught 'me', no not the cat, he was very calm there in the hands of the Parkside staff and received his treatment well, by the doctor, who had only very briefly spoken with the manager/owner, in regards to my having no available funds to cover the near enough three figured bill, without contributing to any extra stress for myself or the cat, everything got the go ahead.    What i'm trying to say in essence is, if you have animals that need care and you can pay, go here, if you can't but need care, go here, and if you don't have a animal but money to spare, donate there, after all its people and places like this that really make the world go round, and not the pound.Lets not let another good business go under because of caring about people, and pets in this case, first.Thanks to all Read Less

Within 5 days katy did so much for my cat unfortunately had to have my baby 6yr old cat put to sleep and she showed such kindness. All the staff are nice and will use and recommend. Reasonable prices too Read Less

I always receive professional friendly service from reception staff and vets. The vets all have a caring attitute towards our cats and treat them with affection. we would highly recommend parkside,as i brought my cat Jess in last year as he got a bad eye,we got an appointment that day.Norma the vet who treated Jess was wonderful,she kept us at ease and talked us through everything that was going to happen as he needed an op,the after care was brilliant.i will always bring Jess back if (but hopefully not) ill again.We cant thank Parkside enough as Jess is our world.xx Read Less

very poor, found a cat, took it there told it was an un-chipped girl. after found out it was a boy, after no joy in finding the owner took it to another vet to be neutered and i find out it had a chip after all. the vets must be really good if they cant tell the difference between boys and girls!
