Spud is saved - the correct meds were prescribed for meningitis and she is much improved. After seeing our baby girl wake up in terrible pain last Thursday we had no idea what was wrong with her. A visit to Denbies on Thursday afternoon and some anti-inflammatory drugs made a small difference but on Friday she was suffering really badly. A second visit and meningitis was the probable cause of her suffering. Prednisone was administered and after a couple of poorly days she has made a remarkable recovery. Steroids for the next three months and we have a happy and pain free puppy again although we have to be careful of any further illnesses as her auto-immune system is now compromised. Read Less

We're lucky in Dorking to have several wonderful vets. Denbies View is one of them. I can't agree with some of the other comments esp regarding the plan. Any vets will have something similar, and of course they will try to offer it to you or they wouldn't be doing their job. And in fact you get a whole lot more that just the physical treatment bits and bobs, which is what I think those mentioning it have not understood. For example under the plan I bring my cat in almost monthly to have her nails clipped, her flea & worm treatments applied and her teeth brushed. Each of which is tricky at the best of times, certainly for me.
Anyway, I think they are as friendly a bunch and as professional as any. Read Less

I have been with this vets for all my dogs life and she is now 10.5 years old. I recently had a very horrifying experience when I was left in Calais for 3 days in my motorhome amongst fighting immigrants trying to get into England due to an error this vet made with my pets passport. The error was that they wrote the wrong date in the chip part of the passport making it look like the rabies had been given to a dog that was un-chipped. Because of this I was left trying to sort this out for 3 days in France, very upset and only with the help of the French vet. My dog now has a French passport which cost me 17 instead of the 60 which I was charged at this vets. This equates to 12 in France not 60. I have also been told that I should do pet plans etc and ended up 300 ahead without realising and feel that this vet is only interested in the profit. My dog is old now so I wont change unless I have to but I would not take any other dog I adopt to this vet. I am now claiming from their insurance for the lost of 3.5 weeks holiday and cost of returning early due to their error and my inability to go on my Drive through France due to the acute trauma of this incident.
