Took my dog to Merstham Village Vets on 31/01/22. Vet said the sore patch on my dogs paw would heal with daily cleaning but prescribed anti inflammatory suspension just in case. I paid £70+. The follo...
Took my dog to Merstham Village Vets on 31/01/22. Vet said the sore patch on my dogs paw would heal with daily cleaning but prescribed anti inflammatory suspension just in case. I paid £70+. The following day I returned as my dogs paw was now green and sticky. This time the bill was £107. When I challenged this they claimed that the 2nd consultation was because this was a different issue to the day before. No. Same dog, same paw, same issue. They just failed to diagnose the problem on day one. They refused to back down, apologise or even explain further and simply advised me to complain. I will complain and never return.

I have been coming here since I was a puppy, the staff have always been very nice and kind to me. They sense I am nervous and treat me gently. I have had a couple of operations at the hospital and have always been well cared for. I know my mummy and daddy feel happy about the treatment I receive. Daddy also like the healthy pet club as it saves him money on my visits.

Worst practice ever going. Took my dog to this practice at 9.30pm and vets now was running on the night. The vet Martin give my dog a injection he told me it would relax my littlen, 10 minutes later I had to rush back into the vets as spike had a reaction to it, his tongue going to the side, crying in pain, floppy, the vet option was to PTS which is horrendous. After this happened the vet wouldn't leave the room. He did his paper work while we were saying goodbye to our little lad. To beat this I organised individual crematorium and was told Spike would be collected the next day, so I phoned up next day never happened I had spike wouldn't be collected till 13 days so I had to collect spike he was frozen like a bone. They lied to me, killed my dog and neglected my little man. Someone needed to do something about this, vets think they can get away with everything. Do not use this vets at all, they will kill your animal then blame me, then be rude on the telephone. Please stay away from this practice

My 11 year old cat Boris was in the hospital today. He has been poorly for a few weeks due to infection in his nose; the vet was worried that there was some sort of obstruction. They found 3 blades of grass wedged up his nose and they were rotting and causing the infection. It took a while to get the blades of grass out. I found the staff patient and caring. It was lovely to see my cat treated as carefully as a human patient. As I waited for Boris I observed every animal and owner treated with care an respect. Thank you!

Took one of my 6 week old kittens into the hospital last night as was being unresponsive, couldn't hold its head up or walk properly to be told by the vet that she had possible hit her head somehow and had effected her brain or had a virus or a neurological problem he didn't seem to know, she had lost the ability to walk and was acting in a strange way although more active than she had be, They did some test and looked in her eyes the vet said she could be blind, but she could hear and was purring. I was told to take her home try and get her to drink and see how she was in the morning ... Well she was the same as she had been all the way back home had been like that for about 4 hours now I walked through my door not really knowing what to do with her all night I showed her to one of the other kittens and she just woke up and responded to the kitten and started playing with it I Put her down on the floor and she got up and walked around like there was nothing wrong with her she could see and would follow your hand had some milk and a wee, I'm not sure what happened to her but I think she was concussed she is back to normal this morning

I have only been with this practice since August and entirely agree with all that Vikki says. On the three occasions that I attended for routine vaccinations, the vet was late 'because he had to come from the other practice', and never even had the courtesy to apologise for turning up between 15-30 minutes late! The receptionist kept apologising with the manic smile of a stepford wife (obviously very well used to having to apologise), I now keep getting bills from them saying that I still owe them for one of my visits, even though I have a receipt to show that the bill was paid at the time - mismanagement, big time!!

Took my dog to Merstham Village Vets on 31/01/22. Vet said the sore patch on my dogs paw would heal with daily cleaning but prescribed anti inflammatory suspension just in case. I paid £70+. My 11 year old cat Boris was in the hospital today. He has been poorly for a few weeks due to infection in his nose; the vet was worried that there was some sort of obstruction. They found 3 blades of grass wedged up his nose and they were rotting and causing the infection. It took a while to get the blades of grass out. I found the staff patient and caring.
