I called the emergency vets around 3PM as my cat had been seriously injured. I had no way of getting to the vets alone and my cat was in a lot of pain. The people on the phone were talking slowly and not understanding that it was an EMERGENCY. I was given 2 numbers that were incorrect and wasted precious last moments of my cats life. I feel like they didn't take me seriously until they saw him in real life. The vets were great, extremely over priced but the receptionists need training on how to deal with emergencies and giving correct information. My beautiful boy had to be put down and I am grateful for the drugs and oxygen he was given to make his lost moments easier. RIP Zasu. I'll always love you. Read Less

Tend to see different vets each time for routine checkups but all have been friendly. Have only once used them to help with a real problem - a very bad cut in my cat's chest. They did not push to do an expensive repair immediately though they offered to do it if I wanted it. They were also happy to take a wait and see approach. So we started with antiobiotics and rest, and a followup visit to assess the need for stitches which would need to be done under anaesthesia. This approach was successful and no further treatment was needed. I am happy with their clinical judgement, that they don't just push with the most high tech option. Read Less

I don't think they deserve even 1 star. My dog had been vomiting for almost 48hrs when we rushed her to the Village Animal Hospital, where they had 4 other patients. My dog was examined by a 'vet' who assured me she needed to go on a drip, have bloods taken and be given anti-sickness drugs. She would need to be admitted for at least 24hrs. The word insurance came up 5 times, no, we're not!! A Quote of £600 - £700 was given & I was asked to sign the paperwork. Which I did, my pet was ill. More time was spent on working out the costing of the treatment and printing an elaborate bill than caring for my dog! I rang five and a half hours later to inquire after my dog, "She's stable" I was told, Is she on a drip I asked? "No, we haven't started treatment yet as we've been busy!" So you've put a bowl of water in with her then? I enquired - "NO"... then he went on & on with the excuses.. We went back & removed my dog - paid the £160.72 consultation fee and left. My advice would be ""Don't use this Vets, they are SCAMMERS - All they want is your money!! I later claimed back the rest of my money. Read Less

My cat reacted to the worming medication I administered on her neck. Somehow she managed to be able to get it on her paw and licked it. I called my own vet but they were closed and I was referred to this veterinary clinic as it was out of hours. Firstly they charge a fortune, when you get there someone has to see you and be able to open the doors. Then a nurse does triage and finally the vet sees the pet. You are then given conflicting information about the treatment given by my registered vet. Trying to contact the company has to be done after 7pm, you get someone who makes excuses when trying to find out what happened to the insurance form. This company isn't any good with customers and sadly I don't think they were that great with my pet. I have learned from experience and hope never to have to use this service again. Read Less

spoke to a vet over the phone after hours, she made it perfectly clear that money was more important than the animals welfare. I explained that my cat had a damaged leg and was in extreme visible pain, she just plainly said well if you cant afford the fee its tough! the fee by the way was 160 just to look at him! I asked if there was a way they could show a little compassion in their pricing or even let me pay in 2 instalments, I was basically told the price is the price no money, no service! So I was left with no choice as I obviously love my cat. Then when I got there waited over an hour to see the unsympathetic condescending vet, who literally did nothing except charge me another 40 for painkillers and told me to go and see another vet the following morning! If only i'd have known how terrible these people really are... DONT GO THERE!! THEY'LL BLEED YOU DRY!! All they care about is the cash in your wallet!... Animals!! (excuse the pun) Read Less

The staff were extremely helpful and caring. They found a hospital for one of my cats who needed urgent treatment in Canterbury He has had his initial treatment and is now doing well, should be home in 2 - 3 weeks. Having had very poor and uncaring treatment from another vets, the stress was taken away a little from us and they were just so caring Both my cats are now registered with them.
