This review has taken me 6 months to write, during what can only be described as one of the worst days of my life, my beautiful best friend was put to rest. The vet was brilliant caring and took the time we needed as an unexpected good bye that I wasn’t prepared for, I know in her last moments my dog trusted the vet. The care afterwards was also very kind and caring I was contacted to keep me up to date with the processes to ensure I got my best friends ashes back to where she belonged and offered support! I cannot thank the team for the compassion and care - as heartbroken as I still am I appreciate the effort and understanding that was shown during such a difficult time. Read Less

Wouldn’t go back here ever! Took my elderly Bichon here as he was having problems with his teeth. Was told by the extremely arrogant vet that I was “neglecting” my dog because his teeth were badly decayed and I “obviously” was to blame for this. Left the vets so unbelievebaly upset blaming myself. Decided to change vets and went somewhere different with the same problem....only to be told his teeth were decaying due to an underlying heart problem causing a Stage 4 heart murmur and fluid on his lungs. His teeth were immediately removed and lifelong medication was started the following day. The complete incompitence of staff at Alnorthumbria not only put my animals health at risk...they tried to pass the blame onto a responsible owner. Complaints made at the surgery at the time, however they were never followed up! Read Less

Paid £120 for a miniature Snauzer castration. Was charged another £2 for a plastic collar. After two days of vomiting and diarrhoea the vet offered anti sickness tablets admitting that the painkillers where to blame. They of course charged for the anti sickness tablets....... 24 hours later my dog has vomited constantly for three days and is now refusing food and passing blood, either because of the pain killers provided or because the operation has been botched. What should have been a simple castration has become an incredibly traumatic ordeal for both our dog and our family. Avoid this vet at all costs. Read Less
