Our recent experience with Acorn Vet Centre Studley, part of CVS Group and in particular Peter Haselor has been absolutely awful. When we raised our concerns with them, we found their responses both dismissive and offensive. Acorn has some good reviews, so maybe we were just unlucky, but we would certainly never trust the care of any animal to Acorn, CVS Group or Peter Haselor ever again. One star (the minimum score) is two stars too many for these people. Truly awful! Read Less

We have been taking our German Shepherd, Roxie, to Acorn since she was a puppy and she is now twelve. She has had quite a few health problems over the years and I cant speak highly enough about the excellent and loving care that she has received. Nothing is overlooked at Acorn. All possibilities are looked at if your pet is sick and all appropriate tests and treatment given. All the vets and nurses are really kind and caring. All animal medicines are expensive but I would think that the consultation frees are quite reasonable in comparison with other vets. We moved house 6 years ago and are now about 13 miles away but wouldnt take our dog anywhere else. Acorn can now do blood tests inhouse and our dog has physio and accupuncture. I highly recommend Acorn.. Read Less

We cant thank Pete, Christine and the staff at Acorn vets enough. Out cute little Cat Tumble was a regular visitor almost weekly for 18 months due to a mouth infection. Whilst Peter and Christine were never able to find and cure the root cause of the problem they did absolutely everything they could to keep it under control and Tumble as happy and healthy as possible, Tumble was well known to all of the staff. Unfortunately Tumble lost his fight with the recurring infection on Friday 30th December 2016 and has to be put to sleep, but I know that this as an absolute last resort for Acorn Vets who did everything possible for him and would have continued to do if there had been any other possibility. Thank you so much Acorn Vets and particularly Pete and Christine for everything you did for Tumble. He is going to be so sadly missed by us all especially his big brother Tyler.Read Less

Unfortunately we got a call from Acorn Vets saying they think they have our cat and unfortunately she has been hit by a car. We rushed down and unfortunately she was paralysed and had to be put to sleep. The vets had so much compassion and a genuine concern for everyone involved, afterwards we was talking to the receptionist about how they knew it was our cat (after we had taken her collar off the day before due to a reaction). It turns out someone found her, took her to acorns, told them the location she had been found. Acorns then researched all the cats living in that area and matched the descripting to ours. Due to them going above and beyond what anyone would every have of expected. We got to say goodbye to our cat, so did our daughter. It was a relief to see she didn't seem in any pain. Also a relief and comforting to know we have her, and she was reunited with us and not lost somewhere with no hope. We cannot thank you enough! Read Less

Well the staff were friendly, but the operation result wasn't good I took my cat there after my usual vet found them online, since she wasn't keen to take out his remaining canines for risk of a jaw fracture. The consultation was short and a student vet was present. After a seemingly successful operation, he stopped eating and I had months of trying to work out why. Since the teeth weren't extracted we assumed that, so I instructed my vet to remove them herself. It was then she found that the mandibles had been split and 3 months on we are still trying to fix it since the wire didn't hold post operation. I called to alert them to it and to the vets credit he did ring me but got my VM. The message was "I understand your cat has split mandibles. I can assure you it wasn't us because the x-ray shows them to be fine" It could indeed be a coincidence but a darn big one if it is being that it happened after an operation right next to them. Accidents do happen as well. The tone of the message was a bit arsey for my liking so I won't be going back Read Less
