We had a lovely Springer Spaniel, who was absolutely terrified of everything - especially vets - so we opted for home based euthanasia. We scheduled a visit for 11am the following day so that we had time to say goodbye and make all the necessary preparations. When, at 11:10am on the day of the procedure, we had not received the pre-arranged call to say they were on the way, and the vet was not at our house, my partner called the Ammanford branch and was informed the appointment was at 11:30am and that an emergency had happened so the Llandeilo branch was performing the visit. Had the errors stopped here, I think we would have let this go, but it got worse. Instead of a gentle sedative, that would allow our girl to fall asleep gently, she was given a large does of ketamine that made her yelp and fall asleep almost instantaneously, giving us no time for last minute farewells. Once sedated, the veterinarian went on to spike her three times looking for a vein, before handing over to the other veterinarian who found a vein first time. Read Less

Called at 12 to see how surgery went..."Oh we havent done him yet, we will do him shortly, he is in the kennels and is ok"... The worst lot of vets I have come across in 40 years of cat rescue. TWO vets here misdiagnosed my cat and gave him a procedure that made him WORSE. They said he had allergies when he had the severe URI plaguing all my cats so refused to give him antibiotics on TWO occasions and meanwhile my cat was getting worse and mouth breathing. When they saw him he was covered in infected green mucus but they missed that !!! I had to take him to the Emergency vet who correctly diagnosed a URI AT ONCE and gave him antibiotics. And yet again Bush House sent him home when he was not eating and very ill and they missed the mouth ulcers stopping him eating and the Emergency vets had to find them and give him painkillers and he ate at once !!! Then Bush House refused to put him on a drip or give him oxygen saying it would not help but strangely at the Emergency vets a couple of hours later they did just that and it saved his life. Unless you want a dead pet avoid these vets like the COVID19. They don't even listen to you and their veterinary knowledge is zero. Read Less
