If I could I would rate this as 0. One vet (he knows who he is) should be a butcher - we had our little dog put to sleep so she wouldn't suffer, she was not in pain but had a long term condition which was incurable. Thanks to him and his rough treatment of her, she died whimpering in pain from his attempts to inject her. No compassion, unfeeling - just doing his job. With that attitude, he should not be allowed near our pets.

Our dog was very ill phoned at 4pm On a Monday listed as closed at 6pm told not to bother as vet was going home in 20 minutes.Dog died 3 days later little or no compassion.When asked about the phone call vet got very defensive almost aggressive will not be using again. Would recommend going somewhere that cares.

Highly recommend Lakeside Veterinary Surgery...staff are always very helpful and professional...I feel they always have our Westies best interests at heart and are not just out to make money, she is getting on and has a few lumps bumps and warts they have been checked and we were told that unless we want they removed they are fine to be left....a previous vet put her through surgery for a fat lump that cost over £1600 🤬🤬🤬 I wouldn’t go anywhere else keep up the great work 👏👏👏👏👏

Took our dog here as an emergency because our vets had no staff available, the vet we saw was very friendly, put us at ease straight away and explained things in a way we could understand. The aftercare is also excellent, we had a courtesy call the next day to check how Jessie was doing which was a nice touch.

Bruno and Tibby (My dog and my cat) are registered with Lakeside and have been for years,Andrew and the team are absolutely amazing and always have been faultless. My babies love going there and everything is purely aimed at your pet's welfare and comfort while waiting to see the staff, a separate waiting area for cat's (if they are nervous of other animals) is also a wonderful idea (as some surgeries don't think of that).The only clinic I would highly recommend without hesitation.All the staff caring and loving to our pet's and their needs. xxx

I have never received such rude attitude before in my life! Not only that I was made to pay administration fee everytime I went back for the same circumstances. They didn't seem to know what they were doing as they kept giving my dog the wrong medication which had now resulted in her having a condition that could of easily been prevented and it cost me a bomb to basically wreck my dog. They don't seem to want a convocation with you, the attitude they have is disgusting I will never ever use these vets again they need to all go on a customer care course. If you have an expensive dog I strongly advise you not to use these, my french bull dog is ruined we are devastated.

A massive thankyou to Andrew, hanna, Lisa and holly for yesterday and today, our beautiful and much loved bulldog Trevor has attended the surgery since he was a puppy. Despite him carrying a little too much weight and me suffering embarrassment when he steps on the scales and I get that knowing look from Lisa, I have always had excellent advice with a non judgemental attitude. However, yesterday morning I phoned due to him being up the night before coughing and retching, I was told, bring him straight in, Andrew treated him and I was given advice for symptoms to watch for, later that afternoon, I felt he was worse, I phoned, I was told, bring him straight in, within a few hours, Trevor had had X-rays, blood tests, hydrated and antibiotic therapy. He was much improved and I was allowed to bring him home. Returned for check this morning with hanna and Lisa, he is making a good recovery. I can not express the level of professionalism, advice and the reassurance that I received during this worrying time. The cost was very reasonable but you couldn't have bought that level of commitment and compassion from anywhere. Thanks again lakeside, your fantastic x

This really is the absolute best vet in Swansea if not Wales! Andrew and all the staff are brilliant with the animals and this is the only vets we trust our cats to. The surgery is very welcoming and all the staff are so lovely, caring and considerate and we recommend them to everyone we know with pets. We have just registered our 5th cat with Lakeside knowing that they will do everything that is best for our cats and that we will always have honest and easy to understand information when we need to make decisions about their care. Brilliant veterinary surgery our new boy is in great hands :-)

my pup was given his 6 weeks jabs whilst with breeder, these vets gave a 2nd set 2 weeks later pup was only 8 weeks they charged breeder it was only when I registered my pup at my vet that I was told 2nd injections should have been done 10 weeks plus and that they would not be effective. Disgusted as 9 pups could have been walking around un procted against thev likes parvo and unsuspecting owners would think they were covered. When I rang to complain attitude from receptionist was disgraceful and she refused to put me in touch with vet. so on top of everything, bredder is out of pocket as she paid for 9 pups to be done, and I have to pay another vet to give jabs in a few weeks time

Took my dog harvey who meant everything to me here and received nothing but good service, had good advice and looked after my boy when he had surgery to remove his cancerous toe. Harvey sadly got very ill over the past few weeks and got booked in to be put down yesterday but he didnt make it and as it was bank holiday we had to take yim somewhere else to be put down the day but before. My dad phoned yesterday morning to cancel the appointment and today I received a lovely card sending their condolences which means alot especially because they weren't even the vets who put him down in the end. Would highly recommend and wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you lakeside xx

a close friend recommended lakeside to me after she had made a few visits and i am so glad she did, excellent service and andrew is so great with your pets.i also find lakeside surgery very affordable...

If I could I would rate this as 0. One vet (he knows who he is) should be a butcher - we had our little dog put to sleep so she wouldn't suffer, she was not in pain but had a long term condition which was incurable. Thanks to him and his rough treatment of her, she died whimpering in pain from his attempts to inject her. No compassion, unfeeling - just doing his job. With that attitude, he should not be allowed near our pets.

Took our dog here as an emergency because our vets had no staff available, the vet we saw was very friendly, put us at ease straight away and explained things in a way we could understand. The aftercare is also excellent, we had a courtesy call the next day to check how Jessie was doing which was a nice touch.

Very nice vet nice to poeple and animals. Just like a true South African vet. Always feel welcome and he has a lot of patients. Will recommend all the time every time

Bad attitude on the vet really didn't make me feel comfortable, and I was worried about leaving my pet there, felt that me and my pet were an inconvenience

Taken my dog here a few times. Hes always able to get a quick appointment with knowledgeable vet. We're never kept waiting long. Good parking.

This really is the absolute best vet in Swansea if not Wales! Andrew and all the staff are brilliant with the animals and this is the only vets we trust our cats to. The surgery is very welcoming and all the staff are so lovely, caring and considerate and we recommend them to everyone we know with pets. We have just registered our 5th cat with Lakeside knowing that they will do everything that is best for our cats and that we will always have honest and easy to understand information when we need to make decisions about their care. Brilliant veterinary surgery our new boy is in great hands :-)

my pup was given his 6 weeks jabs whilst with breeder, these vets gave a 2nd set 2 weeks later pup was only 8 weeks they charged breeder it was only when I registered my pup at my vet that I was told 2nd injections should have been done 10 weeks plus and that they would not be effective. Disgusted as 9 pups could have been walking around un procted against thev likes parvo and unsuspecting owners would think they were covered. When I rang to complain attitude from receptionist was disgraceful and she refused to put me in touch with vet. so on top of everything, bredder is out of pocket as she paid for 9 pups to be done, and I have to pay another vet to give jabs in a few weeks time

Took my dog harvey who meant everything to me here and received nothing but good service, had good advice and looked after my boy when he had surgery to remove his cancerous toe. Harvey sadly got very ill over the past few weeks and got booked in to be put down yesterday but he didnt make it and as it was bank holiday we had to take yim somewhere else to be put down the day but before. My dad phoned yesterday morning to cancel the appointment and today I received a lovely card sending their condolences which means alot especially because they weren't even the vets who put him down in the end. Would highly recommend and wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you lakeside xx

a close friend recommended lakeside to me after she had made a few visits and i am so glad she did, excellent service and andrew is so great with your pets.i also find lakeside surgery very affordable...
