Westport Veterinary Clinic is a locally owned, independent practice, dedicated to providing the best possible care to your pets. We have been serving the local community for over 30 years.
We have dedicated dog and cat wards, recovery kennels, digital x-ray (including dental) and ultrasound while also offering complete soft-tissue and orthopaedic surgeries in our full sterile theatre.
We have laboratory facilities that allow us to run a number of in-house tests, with all results assessed by our highly skilled team of Veterinary Surgeons.
We are also excited to offer ophthalmology consultations and acupuncture treatments.
We also offer our Friends of Westport plan - a preventative health care plan with full routine vaccination cover as well as year round flea, worming and lungworm / tick cover. Our clinical team will advise you on in order to provide the best possible care for your pet.

I moved to West Port vets a few months ago (after 100% dissatisfaction from my previous vet) and the difference was phenomenal! Happy, cheerful, friendly and professional reception staff, which was something I hadn't encountered before! The vets put my poor sick cat on treatment straight away (previous vet ...£1500 on testing, no treatment to speak of) as a result my cat lived a decent quality of life for a further 6 months before I had to get him put to sleep. The staff were amazing, so understanding and kind, and even sent me a beautiful card.
I am finding their prices surprisingly reasonable, every time I get the bill I point out how much cheaper it is for a fantastic service, and I am now on the 'friends of West port' plan to make even more savings as I have just bought a new kitten.
I cannot recommend this vet enough.

Fantastic service and they do everything they can for the best interests of your pet. They are currently doing an amazing job with our dog Bodger who has just had some surgery and is receiving aftercare that is helping him heal nicely. Would highly recommend you send your pets here, first class service.

Can't thank Stuart and all the other members of staff enough. Our wee King Charles Cavailer was knocked down in December , getting run over at his back end, he suffered some serious injurys. Stuart and the team done everything to settle us and make Buster better, and after an operation Buster is on the mend. A few weeks house rest and Buster has just been back for his check up and he is back to his old self. Can't thank you guys enough taking time to explain everything to us nothing was too much bother . Thanks again guys x

Superb service! My little dog needed attention and although the Clinic didn't have an available appointment, they managed to see her - as they did with another little dog who had turned up too. The staff are very friendly, explaining what they are doing and why. In particular, they have a kind, caring manner towards the animals. I found the Vet to be very thorough in his examination of Milli, clearly explaining the treatment options available, long term solutions etc., which I really appreciated. Nothing seemed like too much trouble - well done, everyone! Great staff, great service

I moved to West Port vets a few months ago (after 100% dissatisfaction from my previous vet) and the difference was phenomenal! Happy, cheerful, friendly and professional reception staff, which was something I hadn't encountered before! Superb service! My little dog needed attention and although the Clinic didn't have an available appointment, they managed to see her - as they did with another little dog who had turned up too.
