We got our two wonderful cats from Cramar three years ago and they were marvellous. The process was smooth and stress-free (apart from wanting to adopt all of them and having to leave with just two!) and everyone that we encountered, from the staff at the sanctuary to the woman who did our home visit, was lovely. We were so happy with our cats and the experience that I recommended them to a friend, who also ended up adopting her two cats from Cramar. We took our furry babies to the veterinary practice on sight (Cramar Vets) today for their vaccinations and I can't recommend them highly enough! I was a little concerned at how they would cope with their first vet visit, but the vet we saw was lovely and gave us some excellent advice, and she was so good with them that they were actually purring by the end of the appointment I love that any profits the surgery makes goes back into the sanctuary (rather than into the pockets of a CEO of a huge veterinary chain).Read Less

I took an elderly neighbour to Cramar today as he was seeking a kitten to replace a cat which had recently died.. Because of his age (He is 76)the staff at the centre explained that it would not be wise for him to have a kitten for obvious reasons. I have to say that the two young ladies who attended to us were extremely sympathetic and helpful and their devotion to the cats welfare was a credit to them. If this standard is reflected in the rest of the organisation I have no doubt that the residents stay, although hopefully short and with a happy rehousing outcome, will be one of exceptional care and kindness. Considering the number of cats Cramar reckon they need to rehome the reception I received was surprisingly not what I expected considering I was there to give one or two cats a loving home. After having to ask to see the kittens we immediately said we would love to have them. 13 days later I was contacted to say the home check would be done the following day, however when the lady came to do the check she said the trustees had looked at google map and we were too near a busy road and we could not have the cats! Our neighbours opposite have had a house check and have rehomed 2 cats from Cramar so this policy is obviously flawed. When my daughter rang to query the policy the lady just shouted at her about this so called policy leaving my daughter both angry and upset. I will never support Cramar again and will rehome from a more considerate rescue organisation.Read Less
