Worst experience I’ve ever had! So unprofessional! Back story - First time visiting a veterinary practice I walked in with my Xxl Bully - I understand he needs a muzzle (I am in the middle of training him and didn’t want him to be stressed on the day he’s going to be neutered). As I walk in - the vet tells me he needs a muzzle, I explain why and I understood what she was saying. Walking into consultation - the vet says again he needs a muzzle, so I explain for the second time, she asks me a few questions about doggo and then says for a third time - ‘he needs a muzzle’ Both me and doggo were stressed about the appointment and this was frustrating me because there was nothing I could do in that moment. I explained myself for the third time, again ending saying that I understand and it’s my fault. As I’ve finished repeating myself for the third time, she says it again - ‘he needs a muzzle’ At this point I was beyond frustrated and wanted to break down and leave - I said ‘why do u continue to repeat yourself, what are you gaining?? Can we just do the consultation’ The vet then says ‘ok shall we start over’ I say ‘I would like that very much’ We finish the consultation and she takes the dog into the back. I speak to the receptionist to get the email address to send over documents and the receptionist had the audacity to say ‘you know your dog needs a muzzle’ after having heard the altercation with the vet. I wanted them to get my dog and walk out. Why was it dealt with in that way? Why was there a need to repeat themselves? I understood and brought it with me when I collected him. Rude people! I said to the receptionist why do you guys continue to repeat yourselves? Do you want to say it for the fifth time now?’ She looked at me smugly and said ‘No I think you’ve got the message now’ She continued to speak over me. At that point if had enough and walked out. When picking up Rocco I dealt with ‘Kaz’ - she was lovely, answered all of my questions and was helpful. Safe to say, will NEVER be using their services again !! Read Less

After using hopwood over many many years I am so upset and disappointed to say I can no longer use them. I lost my beautiful boy who was young full of life to a rare condition not diagnosed till to late this I’m devastated by and truly heartbroken. I can accept the rarity of the condition and difficulty in identifying it. He passed away on Tuesday 20/9/2022 I attended the practice with my old lady Millie for health check and booster on Friday few post buddy’s passing saw All the staff involved in buddy’s cars not one person acknowledged buddy not one sorry for your loss nothing no empathy compassion for me at this truly awful time as if he didn’t matter or exist but he was everything to me are our beloved animals just £ signs ? Do you truly care ? Yes no one could love him as much as me or feel his loss but a sorry an acknowledgment for his beautiful life would have meant a lot from a practice I’ve used & previously trusted for many many years Read Less

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Cara, Sammy and Beth, any anyone else we may have missed (sorry if we have any names wrong!). We brought our hamster in last week, who had overgrown teeth and trouble eating. We were aware the practice was super busy on that date, which made the amazing service even more appreciated. They made sure to talk to her and reassure her (the same way we do at home!) and the team’s compassion towards her was lovely. The procedure on her teeth has left our hamster more perky and alert- we would not hesitate to recommend the practice to anyone and their pet.
