I have used White across for many years now and have never had a problem, that said, with the many changes of staff, comes the problems. I spoke with a lady called Beth on Tuesday who was very abrupt in her manner, and the advice she gave was appalling. I wasn’t able to leave a message for a vet to call me back, neither was I able to book an appointment until next Month! I consequently took my dog elsewhere who were very polite and friendly, and offered to see my dog as what I had described to their receptionist, who obviously had more experience and compassion than the person I spoke with at a white Cross deemed urgent. Sadly, my dog proceeded to have heart failure and passed away whilst under examination at the vets. I will certainly not be returning to White Cross Vets ever again. You really need to monitor your reception staff more, especially new inexperienced members. That said Becky with the grey hair and Susan with long black hair have always been very attentive, friendly and professional in their manner

Tried to book an appointment for my dogs claws to be clipped within the next few weeks, but was told to only come when her pads are bleeding. My concerns are that it could lead to another problem I.e. infection.
They don't seem to have any concerns that my dog maybe uncomfortable and having difficulty walking on hard services. Told to do them myself or walk her on concrete, assuming I don't walk her.
When last visited a few months ago for booster, claws were not cut short enough.
I find Suzanne very downgrading and abrupt when visiting or calling. I do my very best to avoid her. When called this evening she kept taking the phone off your other colleagues whilst I was having a conversation with them.
Totally understand the situation currently but we don't regard claw clipping as a luxury!

When we first started using this practice some years ago with our first cat, I would have happily rated them 10/10.But sadly, our last three visits leave a lot to be desired.We have a very highly strung cat and have tried all sorts of different treatments to help calm him, but sadly to no avail.On our visit today, on route we phoned to inform of a slight delay,( Due to afore mentioned reason,) which, as it turned out would not have been a problem. We noticed the patient before our appointment left a good while after we checked in.We were informed that we would have to go to the back of the queue as a matter of protocol. No problem if there had been someone else being seen.(Which was not the case.)When we asked in a polite manner, the receptionist, was quite rude in her reply.

I’ve been using White Cross for my dogs vaccines and other needs for some years now, we always see smiley faces on arrival and the vets always make my boy feel at ease during his checkup’s. I’ve just got his first passport so he can join us abroad later this month, the staff have been so helpful throughout the whole process. Definitely 5 star service.

The service is always efficient and thorough which makes Nelly's visits a pleasure 😊🐶

Had to take kitten for 6 month check with the nurse, excellent service. Really friendly and knowledgeable. I got home and realised my other kitten hadn’t had her check up so phoned and they fitted me in the same morning. Again great service. Both cats fully health checked and wormed. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing !!
All the staff are great. They take the time to listen, appointments are never rushed, always give good advice (even for wounds on humans caused by pets).

All the staff are great. They take the time to listen, appointments are never rushed, always give good advice (even for wounds on humans caused by pets).
Always a bowl of water available for thirsty dogs and a mop for any accidents.
All staff are friendly, nurses and reception staff are always ready for a cuddle or scruff and there's always a jar of treats on the reception desk.
I just can't fault these guys, I guess that's why I've been using them since they first opened this practice.

Came here with my cat as the vet we have used for years has changed hands and they don't seem to care much any more. Couldn't be more different! This practice is cheerful the minute you walk in the door. Receptionists are positively charming and the vet was friendly but professional. She explained everything incredibly clearly without having to be questioned. Most important was the way they treated my cat - I have absolute confidence that he will get the best help he needs with genuine kindness. Thank you.

Very impressed with the service here. Receptionist/nurses very friendly, and the vets were very knowledgeable, even though my animals are less common pets (Guinea pigs and rats). There are two exotic specialists here, and a specialist exotic nurse. I always felt that the vets were very understanding about having to weigh up the pros and cons of treatment, including costs.

Absolutely brilliant vets! My dog Lollie has been going to this practice since she was 11 weeks old. Vets, nurses and reception staff are always friendly and make a huge fuss of her every time we visit. Lollie was recently in for an operation to remove a tumour and she was so well treated while she was there, when we went back 2 days post op I thought she may be a bit reluctant, but she feels so welcome that she just walked in and sat down waiting for her appointment! I can’t recommend them enough, even my mom, dad and my aunts dogs are registered with them! And they all say the same thing! I can’t thank them enough for looking after my beautiful baby and thanks to them I will have her for a lot longer due to them getting her in for her operation ASAP.

Money makers, first of all, my cats needed to give a booster, they push me to do again the same first cat circle I did last year, so I had to pay more money instead of just give a booster because they said the vaccinations weren't powerful, my cats have ear mites now, they saw it, and I called the vets and I spoke with Becky the receptionist she was pushing me to make a appointment to make more money into it when they already knew my cats had ear mites, avoid it all costs, they might be friendly, but they will rip you off.
Not ethical veterinary practice.
Avoid it, there are plenty of good vets that love animals, that one they don't.

This is the best vets I have ever used and we have had animals for 35 years. The staff are fantastic, they just love the dogs and always make a fuss of them. We recently had to have a cat put to sleep and they could not have been more supportive or sympathetic.
This is the gold standard for vets as far as I am concerned.

I have visited White Cross vets several times over the past few years and have always received excellent service from start to finish. The reception staff are very helpful always going out of their way to squeeze you in for an appointment when it is necessary. The vets are friendly and informative and always have the animals interest at heart. I feel totally confident with their care for my dog and can not speak highly enough of them.

this is a nice modern clinic and the staff are very polite. BUT they close in the evening. When my dog was unwell at 10 pm I had to take him to an emergency clinic that is 30 minutes away, they did not have my dog's medical records, had to pay 130 just to be seen. Jack was given two injections but then they would not give me any medication for the next day. I had to book an appointment to go back to the white cross the next day , pay another consult fee. Apparently the emergency service can not give me medication otherwise they "take the day vets business". hmm. I will be looking for vets that cover their own emergencies.

I used to go to a truly independent vets on Vicarage Road but the owners of the practice decided To go back home to Ireland. I have to say my husband and I were gutted as they were a husband and wife team who offered a truly personal service. I had been trying various practices to see if any matched up to those high standards. It's almost impossible to find unique pracices anymore, but for me White Cross is as close as it gets.We have had cause to visit them a great deal with our cat and every time we have received lovely service. The nurses at reception are helpful and always ready for a chat. The vets are knowledgable and caring and the prices are decent in my view.Unfortunately we lost our cat ultimately but they dealt with this with great sensitivity too and when we're ready for a new pet I'll have no hesitation in using them again.

I have used White across for many years now and have never had a problem, that said, with the many changes of staff, comes the problems. I spoke with a lady called Beth on Tuesday who was very abrupt in her manner, and the advice she gave was appalling. I wasn’t able to leave a message for a vet to call me back, neither was I able to book an appointment until next Month! Had to take kitten for 6 month check with the nurse, excellent service. Really friendly and knowledgeable. I got home and realised my other kitten hadn’t had her check up so phoned and they fitted me in the same morning. Again great service. Both cats fully health checked and wormed. All the staff are great. They take the time to listen, appointments are never rushed, always give good advice (even for wounds on humans caused by pets).
Always a bowl of water available for thirsty dogs and a mop for any accidents.
All staff are friendly, nurses and reception staff are always ready for a cuddle or scruff and there's always a jar of treats on the reception desk.
I just can't fault these guys, I guess that's why I've been using them since they first opened this practice.

Came here with my cat as the vet we have used for years has changed hands and they don't seem to care much any more. Couldn't be more different! This practice is cheerful the minute you walk in the door. Receptionists are positively charming and the vet was friendly but professional. She explained everything incredibly clearly without having to be questioned. Vets, nurses and reception staff are always friendly and make a huge fuss of her every time we visit. Lollie was recently in for an operation to remove a tumour and she was so well treated while she was there, when we went back 2 days post op I thought she may be a bit reluctant, but she feels so welcome that she just walked in and sat down waiting for her appointment! I have visited White Cross vets several times over the past few years and have always received excellent service from start to finish. The reception staff are very helpful always going out of their way to squeeze you in for an appointment when it is necessary. The vets are friendly and informative and always have the animals interest at heart. I feel totally confident with their care for my dog and can not speak highly enough of them.

I must say all the staff are so kind, caring and helpful. From when you first enter you are greeted by a friendly, smiley receptionist who is polite and deals with you quickly. Waiting times are very short before you are called in. All the vets and nurses are very caring and informative. I really can't sing there praises enough! both me and my puppy love going there! thank u for your fantastic service all staff should be acknowledged and praised!!!!

I cannot recommend this vets enough. Everyone is friendly, the vets are caring, knowledgeable & thorough and the rest of the staff are lovely & helpful. The cost's are fair and they give the treatment necessary - no extra's to make money.

this is a nice modern clinic and the staff are very polite. BUT they close in the evening. When my dog was unwell at 10 pm I had to take him to an emergency clinic that is 30 minutes away, they did not have my dog's medical records, had to pay 130 just to be seen. Jack was given two injections but then they would not give me any medication for the next day. I had to book an appointment to go back to the white cross the next day , pay another consult fee. Apparently the emergency service can not give me medication otherwise they "take the day vets business". hmm. I will be looking for vets that cover their own emergencies.

I used to go to a truly independent vets on Vicarage Road but the owners of the practice decided To go back home to Ireland. I have to say my husband and I were gutted as they were a husband and wife team who offered a truly personal service. I had been trying various practices to see if any matched up to those high standards. It's almost impossible to find unique pracices anymore, but for me White Cross is as close as it gets.We have had cause to visit them a great deal with our cat and every time we have received lovely service. The nurses at reception are helpful and always ready for a chat. The vets are knowledgable and caring and the prices are decent in my view.Unfortunately we lost our cat ultimately but they dealt with this with great sensitivity too and when we're ready for a new pet I'll have no hesitation in using them again.

Can always be seen as an emergency and usually same day or next for normal appointments. Very friendly and helpful and great with my two greyhounds.
