Too many inexperienced vets resulted in our dog being incorrectly diagnosed with cancer. The trauma of dealing with this news was emotionally catastrophic Because of their 'findings' we came very close to putting him to sleep. I moved vets (back to the brilliant Clents) only to find that there was no cancer only an infection that had not been identified or treated correctly - despite Townsend having taking swabs. Clent's had no idea how Townsend had come to their conclusion; all i know is he is fine and still with us.

This used to be a brilliant vets. We used them for 14 years. Unfortunately since they became part of CVS there is no consistency of care, you rarely see the same vet. We had one vet diagnose our dog w...
This used to be a brilliant vets. We used them for 14 years. Unfortunately since they became part of CVS there is no consistency of care, you rarely see the same vet. We had one vet diagnose our dog with arthritis and put her on long term painkiller only to have the next vet we saw question us as to why we were giving her painkiller and saying we shouldn't be giving her it! We moved to a new vet after that.
The admin staff are fantastic and always have been but the care just doesn't seem to be there any more. For routine care they may be great but not for on going conditions.
For what it is worth, our dog does have arthritis, the first pet was absolutely spot on.

I wanted to thank the vet Joanna Murray and Mary the Vetinary Nurse for their patience, kindness and expertise last Friday when I very sadly had to have my beloved blue point Cha-Lee put to sleep. They made the experience as good as it could have been, although it was obvioulsy heartbreaking for me. I cannot thank you enough for the very kind and compassionate way you both treated him (and me). May he rest in peace.

A first rate veterinary service. Every single member of staff is really welcoming polite pleasant and easy to talk to. I have used other practices but I have to say this is the best. I am particularly impressed with the reception staff who are so kind, friendly and cheerful at all times. I was really impressed with the time that was given to my dog as he was frightened and a little snappy as he needed surgery and several follow up visits to attend to the wound. Anna the Vet calmed him down so that on subsequent visits he was more relaxed. My dog was looked after so well by all of the staff and I have absolute confidence in them. I highly recommend this practice and will remain here with my other pets who are looked after so well. Thank you Christine Harris-James

I'm really disappointed this evening after usually a very positive visit. My old girl has what I thought to be an ear infection that we decided to treat for a short time with over the counter ear drops. After a difficult look into her ears we we asked about what product we had been using. Admittedly in the rush from work to home to vets we forgot to pick them up, eventually sorted that problem! Next we were told to use a prescription ear drops - fine, no problem. So I asked is it an ear infection? The answer 'probably'. Great, I'm really pleased I just paid close to 80 for a probably and crappy attitude. Sorry Townsend I think you just lost our business. Poor!

Have been SO caring while my cat Gary has been ill - he has needed tube feeding at home and all the staff encouraged me to try it yet were understanding when it was all a bit much for me and supported me through it. With their help I have managed it and now he seems to be well on the way to recovering and I am extremely grateful

We had one vet diagnose our dog with arthritis and put her on long term painkiller only to have the next vet we saw question us as to why we were giving her painkiller and saying we shouldn't be giving her it! We moved to a new vet after that.

I'm really disappointed this evening after usually a very positive visit. My old girl has what I thought to be an ear infection that we decided to treat for a short time with over the counter ear drops. After a difficult look into her ears we we asked about what product we had been using. Admittedly in the rush from work to home to vets we forgot to pick them up, eventually sorted that problem! Next we were told to use a prescription ear drops - fine, no problem. So I asked is it an ear infection? The answer 'probably'. Great, I'm really pleased I just paid close to 80 for a probably and crappy attitude. Sorry Townsend I think you just lost our business. Poor!

Have been SO caring while my cat Gary has been ill - he has needed tube feeding at home and all the staff encouraged me to try it yet were understanding when it was all a bit much for me and supported me through it. With their help I have managed it and now he seems to be well on the way to recovering and I am extremely grateful
