been using this vet for a number of years and always found them very good. Once found myself having to use another local vet after one of my dogs was run over because Stewarts were not availible at the time of the accident. Although I appreciated the help and care the other vet gave my dog, I could'nt help feeling ripped off when they charged me nearly 100 extra for keeping my dog for the day because they had to delay some tests because of another emergency. When I questioned the extra on the bill the nurse refered me to a vet that I believe was one of the owners who basicly said when its an out of hours case we charge what we want regardless of whether the extra time spent in our care is down to us or not.
I've had 6 dogs treated by Stewarts over the years and given the choice I'd use stewarts every time.
This review is based on my own experience and judgment.

Avoid this vet like the plague, they just care about money. My dog died after they faffed about for two weeks. Had to take him elsewhere to find out it was too late to save him. First question they asked me was "do you have pet insurance?" Why should that even factor into any vets care? My diagnosis was discarded too (which turned out to be correct!).

Very Good! I have had very good, caring service from P A Stewart with regards to 2 of my cats. From spaying/neutering, urinary tract infections, cat injuries due to fighting with the neighbourhood cats, micro-chipping and vaccinations. Sometimes the waiting room is busy, but we get seen and they do their very best to treat my pets with concern and respect. I'm sorry to hear some have had an unfortunate experience.
