My cat was put to sleep on Monday I had insurance with Petplan took the claim form into be completed by the vets went to collect on Thursday and they refused to hand it over giving me some explanation that it was their policy (bearing in mind that I paid them all the money that was due and on time). I went again today (Friday) and was told the same thing. I advised that I was not informed of this policy and one of the veterinary nurses said that it was only for the veterinary nurses. I am still refused my claim form. I have now cancelled my other cat's health scheme that is with the vets. I have been with them for near on twenty eight years but never had a problem before. If it is not enough to loose a beloved pet but to be told about their policies, apparently it is because one person changed their document so I am being penalised for this. I have now signed up with White Cross Vets in Regent Road. Their loss. Read Less

Oldbury site-If there was a 0 star option I definitely would of picked! We brought my beautiful boy in for there help on Saturday 10th December 2016! The vet was horrendous, after revealing my dog was in heart failure, he sent him home on medication, without consulting with us, exactly, his life expectancy, how to give him his medication. After my dog experienced two episodes of collapsing and fitting we called the vet back yet again, which he told my dad, what do you expect me to do put the dog down? When all we wanted was for our beautiful boy to get better. After his breathing deteriorated and he could not longer walk. We had to make the difficult decision to let him go. Pdsa veterinary hospital were amazing with buster and they gave us all the answers, you should of given us in the first place. You have been our vets for 10 years and yesterday you showed no compassion or care in our boy! I am absolutely ashamed of the care you showed yesterday, and for this we lost a big part of our family. I've never owned a cat before and there advice and treatments have been second to non so far. I would highly recommend there pal for life scheme too. I'd also like to add I'm not a completely new customer our Dog was previously treated there too, we had a similar experience as the lady who reviewed before me except we had absolutely no issues ! Our beloved Enzo was cremated by his self and returned to us in good time all with the upmost respect. My pets are my babies and I trust Orchard with them completely. Read Less
