After being a customer for over 30 years with this practice and on my 5th cat in their care I was met with a new twist of having to pay a deposit of £20 up front to book my cat in for the 'snip' deductable from the total of £45 for the procedure. Having spoke to the practice manager I am told it is because of demand/covid/kids of school/ new practice for defaulters etc. I made clear my upset with this to be told I am the only one to complain and it was made clear my business was no longer welcome. We are very sorry that you are upset. Like many practices we successfully introduced the deposit system some time ago to ensure that appointments are not wasted, which was becoming an issue common to veterinary practices both locally and nationally. We have seen a dramatic reduction in owners not turning up for appointments as a result of introducing deposits and I’m sure you will appreciate that this has benefited you and all of our owners and their animals by ensuring that our staff are not stood around doing nothing when they could be treating your pet. We are very grateful to our owners, who until now have without exception been understanding of the benefits of this approach. You are very much valued by the team, and our appointment booking process has been designed solely with the best interests of your cat and all of the other pets entrusted to our care in mind. We very much hope to see you and your cat again soon and please rest assured that your pet will receive the excellent care to which you have been accustomed over 30 years as a loyal customer of Powis and Partners.

My mom made the phone call to the surgery and they arranged for us to take him straight away to sort his cremation. I was very upset outside the surgery and didn't want to let go off him but a very kind lady came out to me and took him then saving me from going in and getting more upset. So really a big thank you for your patience and sensitivity at this hard time. I doubt I will ever be able to have another pet but if I do it will sure be coming to this vets. I'd just like to say a massive thank you to the staff . Unfortunately last night I came home to find my baby bunny has passed away. I was absolutely beside myself. I'm sure they will look after my Nico and I'm very grateful ! Read Less

***Really upset and disappointed*** .. Took Georgy to Powis and Partners in Amblecote for a checkup and a dental check .. Ive been a loyal customer with them for over 20 years . To take one tooth out under general they said i needed to pay up to around 300... I took my last cat in May this year before having her put to sleep and removal of 2 teeth under general was 175.00 How on earth do they justify the price!!!!! I asked them to advise me and was told its due to a price increase this year .. Ive heard of inflation but to double the price is ridiculous.. I love and adore my animals and would do anything for them but on this occasion POWIS AND PARTNERS have lost a good trustworthy client.......... !!!!!!!!!! Read Less
