Tragically our cat died, I’m still wondering if anything more could have been done since I was told by the receptionist that I would have to wait as there has already been a lot of emergencies that day and there was a long queue of people who had booked appointments. Meanwhile my cat was dying and in pain. Once the Veterinary staff came to help they did seem to rush into action but it was too late.

Seem more dog friendly vets than cats,haven't a separate room to sit with your cat so when big bounding dogs enter the surgery ,my cats are petrified.

I can't thank the vets at the Ark Practice enough for the care they have taken of my greyhound who continues to astound us all by recovering from bouts of ill health; thanks, in great part to the treatment she receives from the Ark. We know she has a life-limiting condition but whilst we are all agreed she has a good quality of life we continue to treat her and give her the best opportunity to recover from periods of being poorly.
I trust the advice we have from Mr Lindsay and Miss Fielden at the Ark and know they always have our dog's welfare at the forefront of the advice and treatment they provide.
The Ark charges are entirely reasonable - especially their call-out fees. The fact that they cover all their own out-of-hours calls is very reassuring when you need to call in an emergency. We have been amazed and grateful for their willingness to carry out home visits both in and out of normal working hours when our dog has not been well enough to take to the surgery.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Ark to anyone looking for a veterinary practice offering a truly caring service together with sound clinical knowledge and skills.

All the staff are excellent and helpful. They know and understand the temperaments of each of my cats and my dog. They are very understanding of each of their needs and how to best manage their needs when addressing their specific care needs at the Practice. They also appreciate the needs of an elderly friend who I take with her dog and are very kind and understanding of her needs. In addition they provide an out of hours service which is invaluable as it remains local - it is so helpful for me to only have to take my pets a very short distance if they are very poorly - and to know they will come to me if the pet is too poorly. I have attended this Practice with many of my pets over the years since it opened and I have always been very pleased with their care. It is a great asset to have staff that know the pets they are dealing with so locally placed geographically.

We have used the Ark for about 15 years since we moved to our current house in Bearley, for various cats and dogs, from puppy through to end of life and various operations along the way. Totally impressed with them, professional but always friendly.
On two occasions I have contacted them, one about a stray dog on New Year's Day and on another, when a dog was in collision with a car outside out house and badly injured - not our dogs. On both occasions, no hesitation, bring them down. This was with no expectation that they would be paid but concern for the welfare of the dogs. Both animals were reunited with their owners.
I have no hesitation in recommending this practice. Everyone there is great.

Tragically our cat died, I’m still wondering if anything more could have been done since I was told by the receptionist that I would have to wait as there has already been a lot of emergencies that day and there was a long queue of people who had booked appointments. Meanwhile my cat was dying and in pain. Once the Veterinary staff came to help they did seem to rush into action but it was too late.

I can't thank the vets at the Ark Practice enough for the care they have taken of my greyhound who continues to astound us all by recovering from bouts of ill health; thanks, in great part to the treatment she receives from the Ark.
