I recently found out about this practice through a friend of mine who so highly spoke about them. I have now taken my little dog there twice, for a general health check-up and for a progesterone blood test. The vets (and the receptionist) are wonderful. You can tell they genuinely care about the welfare of your pet and treat them like their own. They have that touch of care that many vet clinics are lacking. They are professional and their prices are good. Thank you for being so great! Do I recommend them? Without a doubt! Read Less

Not impressed as vet didn't seem particularly bothered about issue I had with my dog. There were two staff when I went in but don't know what happened as had to wait over 15 minutes to get prescription, which ended up being totally inadequate. Also told by vet that a dog trainer would be required, and they would provide contact numbers but they did not provide these details. Also, a family waiting to be seen allowed their kids to run riot, slamming doors and upsetting the animals in there, and nothing was said to stop this. Very poor service and got charged 33 for absolute waste of time. Read Less

Value Vets on Lodge Road is without a doubt the most dysfunctional, unethical Vets I have had problems dealing with. I pre booked an appointment a day in Advance as my dog had been unwell, I notified a member of staff that he is a boisterous dog and isn't 100% comfortable around new people (but will eventually calm down and give in) I told the member of staff I will muzzle him for the safety of his and others to which I was assured that my dog would be able to wait to be solely be seen one to one without distractions from other dogs etc. I attended the vets and 10 minutes before my appointment and what do I see? 8+ other people waiting outside (I was told I'd be the first person in) the staff behind the counter we're rude! Literally ignoring me and talking about TV. Oh, there was also only 1 vet on duty with a increasing group of people with ill pets that needed tending to, how is 1 vet suppose to see 8+ pets, all whom have an appointment and have a busy schedule? The muzzle I was using at that very moment decided to turn cheap and break, I asked for a size 4 muzzle to which they gave me a muzzle for a greyhound. It wasn't funny in the slightest. There was a guy complaining about the total of his vet fees to which the staff we're not being helpful over something very simple, such as offering him a payment plan or notifying him of medicine for his pet where he can get cheaper. Instead, he got blanked. He even turned to me and said "It's the worst" you could see he was emotional and no empathy was given? That's rude. I took my dog to Blacks Vets in Oldbury, they gave me a room to wait with my dog so he doesn't get startled, I got provided a muzzle which fit perfectly and they saw me 20 minutes early, treated my dog there and they also called later asking how my dog was. That's 5/5 customer service. I would never recommend this Value Vets to any pet owner. Rude,Unethical and Dysfunctional. It's in need of a bigger facility, new staff and more Vets, oh and well mannered staff,. However, until then I wouldn't go near this place again. It's Profit over Animals here 0/10 Read Less
