General Info
Not all “hospitals” are the same – to obtain veterinary hospital status (RCVS Tier 3), the practice must have and maintain high standards of cleanliness and health and safety; the staff must prove that they continue to develop their professional knowledge and skills; and the hospital has to maintain a high standard of equipment and facilities. Inspections by the Royal College of Surgeons (RCVS) are undertaken regularly to ensure compliance. We are proud that we acquired Veterinary Hospital status in 1997, the first practice in mid-Kent to do so, and we continue to meet the criteria required for RCVS Tier 3 accreditation and the standards required by the British Small Animal Veterinary Association.
We have an eight vet team providing consultations throughout the day for your convenience. As well as general practitioners, we have veterinary surgeons with expertise in orthopaedics, cardiology, acupuncture, dermatology, internal medicine and ultrasonography. Additionally, we are pleased to host visiting Ophthalmology clinics, MRI scanning, and a veterinary physiotherapist.
We have an eight vet team providing consultations throughout the day for your convenience. As well as general practitioners, we have veterinary surgeons with expertise in orthopaedics, cardiology, acupuncture, dermatology, internal medicine and ultrasonography. Additionally, we are pleased to host visiting Ophthalmology clinics, MRI scanning, and a veterinary physiotherapist.

My 3 dogs are looked after at this vets and they are extremely good and caring ; however when I went today for a routine appointment I was left standing outside for 45 minutes, twice I asked the receptionist when she came outside if there was a problem, she answered that there was an emergency. I had to rebook my appointment after almost an hour because I had 2 dogs waiting in the car and I had to get to work . I fully appreciate emergencies come in however it would have been courteous to let the customers know outside about the delay and give the option to rebook or continue to wait !
I wasted an hour before having then torush to work .
I have called the reception to try and simply say please inform customers if there is a delay and apologies however it appears to have fallen on deaf ears . I appreciate that the reception staff said that the patients come first however there were 2 patients outside ... one elderly lady with a dog that could hardly stand . The option to rebook would have been appreciated.

Many tha is for making me better so quickly and looking after me, I was only there for about an hour, I think that's what you hoomans calls it, and now I am back home have some lovely fooods because I iz a bit hungry, though my legsies are a bit wobbly from having a little nap apparently. I dontz rememburrr as I had dreamz about cat stuff. Dad wantz to say somethings now.. bye
Thankyou guys at Cavan, amazing service, I was so worried about Bella but you guys were so kind and professional. Amazing work, fantastic value for money.

Cavan Vets have looked after my cat for 12 years for neutering, one mild ailment and routine annual vaccinations until old age took hold and she became unwell. She couldn't have had better care from the vets and the nurses on each and every annual visit. Sadly, she was put to sleep recently by the vet and the situation was handled quietly, compassionately and so gently. I cannot thank them all enough for their service over the years and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this vets practice.

I booked my dogs in two weeks ago to have there injections. We turned up early and checked in, to then be made to wait 45 minutes over are appointment time, no one came to check or tell us why we had to wait. We went back today for there follow up injections yet again to be made to wait 45 minutes and still yet again no one came to talk to us. People where turning up after us and been seen before us absolutely appalling, In the end I walked in and asked the lady behind the counter when we was due to go in as it had been 45 minutes. She replied with a very snotty attitude, saying they had some emergency’s on the morning. If that was the case we should of been informed and we weren’t. The veterinarian him self was wonderful with my animals but The customer service is appalling and the waiting is ridiculous.

We've been here 3 times in last 5 months, just for vaccinations and a check up and had reassurance over the phone and each time found them to be friendly, helpful and professional. Highly recommend.

Vet says one thing, nurse on desk says another was told by vet if my dogs condition worsens to come back ( it hasn't) but senior nurse will give you a diagnosis,of xray and surgery while buying dog food left feeling a very uncaring typical dog owner, such a shame because the vets are lovely.

My mum took our dog here as she was starting to not feel well. The people working here were rude and inconsiderate towards my mum and implied she was an irresponsible owner who didn't care about our dog as she couldn't pay the £1000 up front for the checks she needed and was told she couldn't use her insurance. They caused a lot of unneeded grievance in the last week of our dog's life and didn't notice the signs that the PDSA picked up straight away for heart failure (a common condition of the type of dog and age). Would not recommend.

My dog was contracting for over 40 mins without producing a pup I called Cavan and said I was in my way the receptionist then told me to go home the practice is to busy and call back 2 and half hours later I waited 1 hr 45 mins and called back my poor dog was in such distress and pain finally they said bring her in only for her to be made to wait for nearly another 2 hours before being seen in this time thePup had died inside her and we had to take her to an emergency vets for a c cection to remove dead pup as Cavan did nothing we have had no apology or compensation instead I have been banned from the surgery as I wrote a formal complaint letter !! That have no care or consideration towards any animal or owner this is cavans in oxley Stafford road wolverhampton

My 3 dogs are looked after at this vets and they are extremely good and caring ; however when I went today for a routine appointment I was left standing outside for 45 minutes, twice I asked the receptionist when she came outside if there was a problem, she answered that there was an emergency. Cavan Vets have looked after my cat for 12 years for neutering, one mild ailment and routine annual vaccinations until old age took hold and she became unwell. She couldn't have had better care from the vets and the nurses on each and every annual visit. Sadly, she was put to sleep recently by the vet and the situation was handled quietly, compassionately and so gently. We went back today for there follow up injections yet again to be made to wait 45 minutes and still yet again no one came to talk to us. My mum took our dog here as she was starting to not feel well. The people working here were rude and inconsiderate towards my mum and implied she was an irresponsible owner who didn't care about our dog as she couldn't pay the £1000 up front for the checks she needed and was told she couldn't use her insurance. They caused a lot of unneeded grievance in the last week of our dog's life and didn't notice the signs that the PDSA picked up straight away for heart failure (a common condition of the type of dog and age).
