There's no other way to describe all of the staff at The Mewes other than exceptional! Being new pet owners we have had quite a few visits, including an operation to remove dew claws (one of which involved what was basically an extra paw!!!). Nothing short of outstanding. We are so pleased with the results and the skill involved not only to remove bone etc, but the way it looks now you would never know he had been operated on! On 15th December last year our beloved Samson was so unwell we had to make a very difficult decision but the ladies at The Mews were so kind and knew just how to help us cope with losing him. The house was so empty and we missed him so much, we got two rescue cats in January 2015. They are long haired and had not been groomed properly, so were in a sorry state but The Mews checked them over and advised us on how to get them settled in to their new home with us. She made Fiver feel completely at ease and everything was explained properly and clearly. I have used the Mewes for the past 8 years for my 2 cats and dog. I highly recommend the practice. Having seen all the vets and nurses I could recommend them all. The thing I especially like about the practice is that you never feel that you are on a strict time restraint. The vets and particularly the veterinary nurses take lots of time to discuss any problems and offer lots of advice. Special mention for India and Laura who have given great advice for my cat suffering from renal problems. The practice also offer monthly plans to help spread the cost for vaccinations and flea/worm control over the course of the year, which I have found to be great for my dog, who goes in for free weight checks and nail trims under the plan too. Have been with The Mewes more or less since they started. I had two dogs one of which has sadly died. How kind and thoughtful everyone was at this time as for every pet owner this is the hardest but kindest thing we do for our pets. I felt they genuinely cared and were just so kind. Now we have just the one dog I always feel we receive the best of attention with everything explained very well. Options have always been given as we all know it can be an expensive time. They are very accommodation but still giving the best for your pet. All lovely people cant recommended them highly enough. Keep up the excellent work. Read Less
