Having lost a very good vet a couple of years back following his retirement, I began looking around for his replacement. Unfortunately I didn't choose Ledston Clinic first and had a bad experience with another vet who misdiagnosed a heart murmur on a healthy horse. Following an expensive lesson on choosing a vet wisely, I moved the care of my horses to Ledston on the recommendation of a friend. I can safely say I haven't looked back. The service is personalised, friendly and knowledgeable across all vets and the office team. Recently, I have just lost a pony to liver failure. The vets diagnosed this quickly and were very professional and descriptive in their conversations with me, but also put me at ease and dealt with my constant questions and (sometimes strong) emotions during this difficult time. The final visit with him was dealt with as an emergency and I can't fault the service. Nigel was most helpful, sympathetic and caring in his approach to both me and my pony, he talked through what was happening and my options, making sure at all times my little man was no.1 priority for his attention.
