From choosing the most suitable family pet, through routine vaccinations, health checks, neutering and nutritional advice, they offer extensive medical and surgical facilities to provide for all your pets’ needs, combined with a personal service second to none.

Our bulldog collapsed, took him to this vet. Said his heart fine etc, needs to lose weight. Diet and one month later same again, no answer; could be this could be that. Nothing to worry about.

Our bulldog collapsed, took him to this vet. Said his heart fine etc, needs to lose weight. Diet and one month later same again, no answer; could be this could be that. Nothing to worry about.
2 weeks later his stomach is swollen. Back to vet who said bloat. Could take him home and bring him back when better staffed on the Monday morning. Taking no chances we waited till Monday morning. Left waiting once in waiting room and dog becoming more stressed.
Eventually in to see vet. I can not explain how concerned I was, specifically with the anesthetic. All very experienced apparently and I needn’t worry.
Our beloved dog had a heart condition. He’d been to the vet every time he displayed any distress. The swelling was his heart. They never figured it out and our dog died on their operating table unable to come out of the anesthetic.
The last time we saw him he was laid out on a slab.
Cold, uncaring, took away our sunshine and broke our hearts.
All without a bat of an eyelid.

Our usual vets based in Honley didn't notice a spinal issue in our dog they told her to rest (with pain killers) whenever she was in severe pain. We went to Donaldsons for the first time as an emergency (because there were the only vet open near us). Thankfully they spotted the severity of the issue and referred us to a fantastic specialist and I honestly think if our usual vet was open they would have told us to rest her which means our dog may not be here today. The only negative is that other emergency vets charge circa £110-£180 for a consult. Donaldsons charged £305. I was pretty gobsmacked! (That's with no meds or anything - just the consult). But the cheaper urgent care meant travelling further and we didn't want to waste time. And, while I appreciate cost is important to people, it should not be a priority. Quality us the most important thing. The vet on call (Kat) was however an absolutely amazing woman who clearly loves animals and had so much compassion. She noticed the issue that our other vet did not. I will be transferring all my other pets here because of Kat.

Cannot fault the service at Donaldson's. The vets are always lovely & reassuring. My grandad still brings his dog here even though he moved to Leeds over 15 years ago!

This is the only vet I've used and continue 2 use and trust with my pets.. Cordelia Edwards vet is very worthy of promoting at this practice her compassionate and empathic professional conduct made the hardest day of my life effortlessly easy nothing was too much trouble. I've always had the best care 4 my pets here and my new dog I collectin in 10 weeks will be entrusted 2 donaldsons 4 it's wellbeing.. I had 10 and half health free years with my dog Lilley all due 2 vets at donaldsons very high quality of care is best in West Yorkshire and South East all of Yorkshire basically.. Yes I'd very very highly recommend this vets 4 all ur pets and equine

Went recently for my cat who had a terminal illness. The young female Vet that I saw was the height of professionalism and compassion and is a credit to the profession. I cannot say enough good about her. It was a sad outcome, but the integrity shown was exemplary. Thank you.

All the vets inspire confidence and are clearly are knowledgeable and experienced. They have a great team resource and the support staff are friendly and compassionate. Donaldson's vets have taken great care of all our three cats, especially Charlie, who is diabetic and remains fighting fit with their care and guidance. Highly recommend them.

Not my usual vets - dog was taken here by our borders when she needed emergency treatment and I was away. Had to follow up with the practice afterward and had the most helpful phone conversations I've ever had with any medical practice, animal or human! Vets, admin, everyone is so so helpful and fantastic. Hoping to move nearer soon and will definitely use them myself.

This is the only vet I've used and continue 2 use and trust with my pets.. Cordelia Edwards vet is very worthy of promoting at this practice her compassionate and empathic professional conduct made the hardest day of my life effortlessly easy nothing was too much trouble. All the vets inspire confidence and are clearly are knowledgeable and experienced. They have a great team resource and the support staff are friendly and compassionate.
