The most rudest rip off merchants I have ever met,cold unhelpful layers. Keep putting the price of tablets up are very, very rude the receptionist has put the phone down on me this evening after lying to me saying earlier on in the conversation she heard the other receptionist say she would give me a refund for the tablets they have ripped me off for. Tried to charge me for tablets my old dog didn't need. Stay clear very rude, un helpful bad customer service cannot talk to a manager have to told to write a letter even, though my issue is now, today. I'm shocked at how this vets, have treated me so rude putting the phone down on a customer!!! This is the last of many many problems with them I shall now find my self a decent vets who appreciates my custom!!!!!!

Great over the phone assistance and advice if you're unsure if you need to bring your animal in and also 24/7 emergency service. Great support with things such as behavioural services and just attended a great first aid course for pets. Their pet health club is also great value for money. Can't recommend enough.

We found a cat in need of some help and took him to Holly House quite late at night. We were given directions, let in, a lovely vet checked over the cat and looked for microchip (there was none), cleaned up a couple of nasty patches and sent us on our way without charging us a penny or seeming put out in any way. That cat now has a home and is much healthier and happier. Thanks Holly House :)

Not my usual vet however I needed an appointment for my snake and was offered a consultation within an hour and a half which was helpful with them being a 40 minute drive. Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful and the veterinary staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I will be using them again for my exotics despite them being far from the nearest exotic vet to my home. Thanks guys 😁

Called re: juvenile fox I'd found at side of Gledhow Valley Road. Hadn't been knocked over or anything, just looked dehydrated and confused. At first was told to bring it, but when I asked if ok to handle wild animal was put onto someone else (more senior) who basically said we're not interested and call RSPCA (who I'd already called). Suppose there's nothing in it () for Holly House.
When calling the emergency number HH had given me and (after 3 mins listening to options an pressing different buttons) the RPSCA weren't interested either, unless I could stay with it. I could touch it's head and it wouldn't move, so it wasn't going anywhere.
It's no wonder people don't stop to help. I should have just carried on driving for all the good it did the fox.
HH are able to look after the animal until the RSPCA pick it up from there. They chose not to.
I picked it up, and moved it into the bushes at the side of the road, and let nature take its course.

After my beloved snake was seriously ill they took very good care, of both me and him, and explained options very carefully, ensuring I had all the facts to make informed decisions about his care. Non-judgemental over him becoming ill, and very compassionate when he sadly had to be put to sleep, saving my dignity of going out through the back instead of having to walk teary eyed and distressed through the main reception!
I also received a card through the post a few weeks later, offering sympathy and kind words at the loss of a beloved and missed pet. I would certainly be happy to refer and suggest for any sick pet, including exotic animals.

We have been going to Holly House for probably five years now, taking poorly Dumbo Eared Rats or African Pygmy Hedgehogs.
The reception staff and vets are nothing short of phenomenal. They share your concerns, and do their best to get your beloved friend home quickly.
I cannot recommend Holly House highly enough. We have even taken a sick wild hedgehog they nurtured and sent to the local recuse, and a poorly shrew.
I am praying for good news from vet Sarah today about my in patient, if anyone can save her it will be Sarah. Thanks to night team for looking after Harriet. Vet Heather amazed me with her quick analysis and treatment.

Our only criticism is medication to bring home was two days short so that will mean a phone call and trip back tomorrow. Thank you for caring for our precious British blue boy. The puppy pre school is very good fun and would highly recommend it. My puppy enjoys going to the vets now as it's been a place of enjoyment for him. I'm so happy I found Holly House. Thank you all x

They have 24/7 emergency provision when it's needed and I've always had an appointment offered the same or next day when non-emergency. The staff are sensitive, knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend.

I have been with Holly House now for 20 years since I got my first dog when I was 13. The attention to detail, the knowledge, the care and love they have given to all my dogs over the years is exemplary. Yes, sometimes you are waiting ages in the waiting room for your appointment or for prescriptions but it's a small price to pay for such wonderful, devoted care. I cannot praise them highly enough particularly Ellie and Sara, who spent a huge amount of time talking me through my dogs problems and offering advice on a way forward. Thank you x

I cannot praise Holly House enough, from reception staff through to the vets they are all great people with a brilliant attitude to pets and their owners. I have had to make frequent visits recently due to my cat having a chronic illness which has acute flare ups. We usually see Heather the vet and she is so gentle with my cat and so caring, I know he is safe in her, or any of the vets hands. The reception and admin staff deal direct with my insurance company so all I have to do is pay the excess. Thank you Holly House

She made it through the operation but sadly she passed away 6 days later as she was just too weak. The whole holly house team was amazingly kind to me and my family and did brilliant by my pepper, thank you Sarah for looking after Pepper during her final hours, and a huge huge thank you to Ellie You gave me understanding, and the care you showed is heart warming! The card you got me was touching. Thank you all soo much. Anyone that has a poorly tortoise/reptile please take them to Holly House Veterinary Hospital, such experience and knowledge, but also understanding and caring :)

Amazing, having visited two different vets previously I was hopeless, I thought it was the last stop for my Piggy, Ellie has been amazing and my Ron is on the right track and not suffering from what was originally diagnosed.
I cannot praise them enough, compassionate and understanding. Although it takes me two buses to to get there the trip is worth it, the knowledge they have for small critter is fantastic.

The staff at holly house have kept our cats healthy for over thirty yearsAlthough we no longer live particularly close to ls17 we still make the trip to them as it's worth the journey. They have nursed two of our cats through leukemia and renal failure and showed both amazing professionalism and great heart when the end finally came. Vets bills are expensive as is any type of private medicine. I was appalled by the review that claimed hollyhouse "ripped them off". If you are concerned about potential bills, either don't get the pet or take out insurance.

They milked me for money creating conditions that weren't there to get them treated and when my cats actually needed treatment they pretended it's nothing until it got so bad that that the treatment cost fortune. Avoid at any cost.

I wish my doctors were as good as this vets and by the wall of thank you cards in the reception I don't think I am the only one to feel this way. Having two cats, trips to the vets are unavoidable and my cats have got themselves into quite a few scrapes over the years. Lucky then that you can get an appointment that day if it's serious and they are open on Sundays as well. Having a sick animal can be very stressful, knowing that your pet is getting the best care and attention is extremely comforting. Every member of staff is friendly, helpful and warm. One of my cats was extremely ill and the compassion they showed was second to none, they kept us informed at every turn and made a horrible experience as pleasant as it could be. I would recommend these vets to any pet owner in Leeds. They have a vet that specialises in exotic pets so snakes and turtles welcome!

The most rudest rip off merchants I have ever met,cold unhelpful layers. Keep putting the price of tablets up are very, very rude the receptionist has put the phone down on me this evening after lying to me saying earlier on in the conversation she heard the other receptionist say she would give me a refund for the tablets they have ripped me off for. Tried to charge me for tablets my old dog didn't need. Stay clear very rude, un helpful bad customer service cannot talk to a manager have to told to write a letter even, though my issue is now, today. I'm shocked at how this vets, have treated me so rude putting the phone down on a customer!!! This is the last of many many problems with them I shall now find my self a decent vets who appreciates my custom!!!!!!

Great support with things such as behavioural services and just attended a great first aid course for pets. Their pet health club is also great value for money. Can't recommend enough.

We found a cat in need of some help and took him to Holly House quite late at night. We were given directions, let in, a lovely vet checked over the cat and looked for microchip (there was none), cleaned up a couple of nasty patches and sent us on our way without charging us a penny or seeming put out in any way. That cat now has a home and is much healthier and happier. Thanks Holly House :)

Not my usual vet however I needed an appointment for my snake and was offered a consultation within an hour and a half which was helpful with them being a 40 minute drive. Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful and the veterinary staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I will be using them again for my exotics despite them being far from the nearest exotic vet to my home. Thanks guys 😁

Called re: juvenile fox I'd found at side of Gledhow Valley Road. Hadn't been knocked over or anything, just looked dehydrated and confused. At first was told to bring it, but when I asked if ok to handle wild animal was put onto someone else (more senior) who basically said we're not interested and call RSPCA (who I'd already called). Suppose there's nothing in it () for Holly House.
When calling the emergency number HH had given me and (after 3 mins listening to options an pressing different buttons) the RPSCA weren't interested either, unless I could stay with it. I could touch it's head and it wouldn't move, so it wasn't going anywhere.
It's no wonder people don't stop to help. I should have just carried on driving for all the good it did the fox.
HH are able to look after the animal until the RSPCA pick it up from there. They chose not to.
I picked it up, and moved it into the bushes at the side of the road, and let nature take its course.

After my beloved snake was seriously ill they took very good care, of both me and him, and explained options very carefully, ensuring I had all the facts to make informed decisions about his care. Non-judgemental over him becoming ill, and very compassionate when he sadly had to be put to sleep, saving my dignity of going out through the back instead of having to walk teary eyed and distressed through the main reception!
I also received a card through the post a few weeks later, offering sympathy and kind words at the loss of a beloved and missed pet. I would certainly be happy to refer and suggest for any sick pet, including exotic animals.

We have been going to Holly House for probably five years now, taking poorly Dumbo Eared Rats or African Pygmy Hedgehogs.
The reception staff and vets are nothing short of phenomenal. They share your concerns, and do their best to get your beloved friend home quickly.
I cannot recommend Holly House highly enough. We have even taken a sick wild hedgehog they nurtured and sent to the local recuse, and a poorly shrew.
I am praying for good news from vet Sarah today about my in patient, if anyone can save her it will be Sarah. Thanks to night team for looking after Harriet. Vet Heather amazed me with her quick analysis and treatment.

Our only criticism is medication to bring home was two days short so that will mean a phone call and trip back tomorrow. Thank you for caring for our precious British blue boy. My puppy ate raisins and spent 3 days in Holly House being cared for. He was very well looked after, was bouncy and happy. He loves the nurses and they love him. He gets so much attention and love. The puppy pre school is very good fun and would highly recommend it. My puppy enjoys going to the vets now as it's been a place of enjoyment for him. I'm so happy I found Holly House. Thank you all x

Fantastic vet with very reasonable prices. We have slightly unusual pets (rats) and they always know their stuff, much more than the other places I tired, which were all about dogs and cats. They have 24/7 emergency provision when it's needed and I've always had an appointment offered the same or next day when non-emergency. The staff are sensitive, knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend.

I have been with Holly House now for 20 years since I got my first dog when I was 13. The attention to detail, the knowledge, the care and love they have given to all my dogs over the years is exemplary. Yes, sometimes you are waiting ages in the waiting room for your appointment or for prescriptions but it's a small price to pay for such wonderful, devoted care. I cannot praise them highly enough particularly Ellie and Sara, who spent a huge amount of time talking me through my dogs problems and offering advice on a way forward. Thank you x

I cannot praise Holly House enough, from reception staff through to the vets they are all great people with a brilliant attitude to pets and their owners. I have had to make frequent visits recently due to my cat having a chronic illness which has acute flare ups. We usually see Heather the vet and she is so gentle with my cat and so caring, I know he is safe in her, or any of the vets hands. The reception and admin staff deal direct with my insurance company so all I have to do is pay the excess. Thank you Holly House

Nearly a year back I had a very poorly horsfield tortoise named pepper,"my profile picture" she was only 30g and 2years young and had a very large bladder stone. She made it through the operation but sadly she passed away 6 days later as she was just too weak. The whole holly house team was amazingly kind to me and my family and did brilliant by my pepper, thank you Sarah for looking after Pepper during her final hours, and a huge huge thank you to Ellie You gave me understanding, and the care you showed is heart warming! The card you got me was touching. Thank you all soo much. Anyone that has a poorly tortoise/reptile please take them to Holly House Veterinary Hospital, such experience and knowledge, but also understanding and caring :)

Amazing, having visited two different vets previously I was hopeless, I thought it was the last stop for my Piggy, Ellie has been amazing and my Ron is on the right track and not suffering from what was originally diagnosed.
I cannot praise them enough, compassionate and understanding. Although it takes me two buses to to get there the trip is worth it, the knowledge they have for small critter is fantastic.

The staff at holly house have kept our cats healthy for over thirty yearsAlthough we no longer live particularly close to ls17 we still make the trip to them as it's worth the journey. They have nursed two of our cats through leukemia and renal failure and showed both amazing professionalism and great heart when the end finally came. Vets bills are expensive as is any type of private medicine. I was appalled by the review that claimed hollyhouse "ripped them off". If you are concerned about potential bills, either don't get the pet or take out insurance.

They milked me for money creating conditions that weren't there to get them treated and when my cats actually needed treatment they pretended it's nothing until it got so bad that that the treatment cost fortune. Avoid at any cost.

I wish my doctors were as good as this vets and by the wall of thank you cards in the reception I don't think I am the only one to feel this way. Having two cats, trips to the vets are unavoidable and my cats have got themselves into quite a few scrapes over the years. Lucky then that you can get an appointment that day if it's serious and they are open on Sundays as well. Having a sick animal can be very stressful, knowing that your pet is getting the best care and attention is extremely comforting. Every member of staff is friendly, helpful and warm. One of my cats was extremely ill and the compassion they showed was second to none, they kept us informed at every turn and made a horrible experience as pleasant as it could be. I would recommend these vets to any pet owner in Leeds. They have a vet that specialises in exotic pets so snakes and turtles welcome!
