Avenue have been our family vets since our children were little and over the years they€ve looked after all of our dogs, hamsters, gerbils and a whole host of small furry friends! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the vets, Nick and Neil, always give advice in a very clear and ethical way. We found that even when it came to make difficult decisions they are good at giving you the right advice and then letting you, as the pet owner, make the right decisions for your animals. I have been taking my two dogs and two cats to Avenue for a long time now and can honestly say they are the best vets I have ever had. My dog had to have long and complex dental surgery and he is fine and enjoying life again now. The vets and nurses are excellent and the reception staff very friendly, everyone makes me feel "part of the family". We took our perfectly healthy dog to the Avenue Veterinary Group for some dental work. Both Nick and Neil prescribed him drugs that cause Peritonitis which killed him. He died a very painful death. A few days before his death he was showing lots of side effects consistent of this drug which they ignored. When our dog died these vets would not accept any liability and even lied in a statement to the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to protect their own backs. We had a post mortem which showed a massive ulceration which was consistent with this drug. They even charged me for my dogs ashes back and really would not take any responsibility.Read Less
