Our beautiful 12yr old Shetland Sheep Dog Honey became very ill over the last few days with liver failure and eventually on the 13/2/2017 we had to have her put to sleep. All the staff at Westwood Vets were very kind, compassionate and professional. The practise had cared for Honey since she was 8wks old and throughout her 12yrs they had always treated Honey and ourselves above and beyond. We can't thank them enough for all they have done for Honey and especially on the worst day of our lives when we had to make that awful decision to have Honey put to sleep. I would without any doubt recommend the practise to anyone. They will always care for our pets and are still doing so with our King Charles Cavalier Ruby. Again Westwood Vets a very big THANKYOU. We came today to pick up our kittens after they'd been neutered and spayed. we sat in the waiting room and I was reading one of the signs that stated 'we treat your pets like our own', which if this is true im very disappointed. Before they brought out our kittens, a very excited dog came out who was being picked up, then they brought out our kittens without waiting for the dog to leave first. We wouldn't have minded waiting at all till the dog had left but instead the dog jumped up at the cage and tried to see what was inside while the kittens were terrified. to me it would be common sense, as someone who cares about animals, to let the dog leave first then bring out the cats, who were already tired and woozy from anesthetic, but apparently not. We got given a leaflet too, which we thought was an aftercare thing but instead they were just trying to sell us some food (royal canin). We came here because of a deal via the cat rescue plan when we adopted the kittens, but I'm afraid we won't be returning, will stick to our usual vets.Read Less
