At Companion Care we know your pet is a much loved part of the family and you want them to enjoy a long, healthy life. This is why our veterinary teams, made up of animal loving experts, firmly believe in providing the highest level of care and treating every pet they see like they would their own.
Every Companion Care practice is equipped with the latest in technology, which means we can offer your pets the personalised care they need. Our practices are also designed to make your pet’s time with us as comfortable as possible; just like kids don’t always like going to the dentist, we know pets don’t always like going to the vets! Our waiting areas are light and spacious (and with floors that can cope with little accidents) and we also have separate dog and cat wards so your pet can recuperate more comfortably after any treatment.
Our vets will explain all clinical terms so you fully understand what is happening to your pet and you are fully involved in their treatment plan. This also includes being completely transparent in our pricing, so you can make an informed choice on the treatment that you want your pet to receive.

I have been with companion care vets for about 8 years, I tried a number of vets in other practices before finding Gavin. I have many animals with a number of complex needs, including feral cats. All my animals have always been treated with exceptional care and dignity. My nervous animals are happy to be treated by Gavin and all the vets. The veterinary nurses are all very experienced, and very caring, calming even the most nervous animal. Exceptional.

Very poor service. Promised to call me back on several occasions but didn't bother. Ria on reception was very rude on the telephone shouting at me and totally unhelpful. They don't care about animal welfare just making money. Ria told me each vet sees 40 animals a day for at least £30 per consultation. The vet doesn't remember your pet, only making money.

Today we had an emergency. Our puppy was screaming followed by continuous shaking of her head and trembling. We drove immediately to Companion Care arriving at circa 11.45am. We were informed that the Vets and nurses were busy and we would have to wait until the evening or ring later in the afternoon to see if there was a cancellation.
We called another vet who saw our puppy immediately. She had a grass seed very close to her eardrum and required an anaesthetic to remove it. The procedure was successful and we collected her mid afternoon. Apart from routine worming and/or vaccinations I would realistically only expect to visit a vet in an emergency. To have no vet, or nurse, available for an emergency I found very poor. I have now registered with the vet who treated our puppy.

We live 20 miles away we have struggled to get to our appointment on time with road works and traffic but they have always been understand unfortunately this Sunday the reception we received from someone new I had not seen before was not very customer friendly she was to the point told us we had missed our appointment which we were 10minties late which I appolaised for and was told it would be a hour wait before they could fit me in I found this totally unfair has surely they allow at least half hour for appointment. I said thank you no we will go to the merry hill vet instead I will miss Gavin he made such fuss of our dogs lovely person it's a same I can not say this about the new receptionist needs customer service training.

Absolutely Brilliant Vet. When my poor old Springer Spaniel was poorly - and she was poorly for a while - Gavin did everything that he could to help her. We as a family do not believeve in prolonging the agony of a dog who is obviously old and unwell, and the vetinary practice was amazing, giving us tips on how to make her comfortable and decreasing her pain. In the end, we had to have her put to sleep. The staff at this practice were fantastic - I was a mess! Thank you to Gavin and all the staff.

Fantastic vets. After seeing various vets over time, that are nearer to my house, I now travel 45mins to this vet practice purely because of how brilliant they are. Gavin is truely a life saver that is so dedicated to animals with a no nonsense, thorough, friendly approach. Couldnt reccomend enough. My cat meekah would not be here without him. All staff are lovely. Aswell as being professional and on the ball they also treat both you and your pet as friends. 6 stars if i could rate that many.

If you are new to them find out the extent of services they offer and compare with local vets who offer much better care for your beloved pet. Other vets have much better coverage and support overall. Don't be pulled in with cheap prices. You will pay in the end.

I have been with companion care vets for about 8 years, I tried a number of vets in other practices before finding Gavin. I have many animals with a number of complex needs, including feral cats. All my animals have always been treated with exceptional care and dignity. My nervous animals are happy to be treated by Gavin and all the vets. The veterinary nurses are all very experienced, and very caring, calming even the most nervous animal. Exceptional.

Very poor service. Promised to call me back on several occasions but didn't bother. Ria on reception was very rude on the telephone shouting at me and totally unhelpful. They don't care about animal welfare just making money. Ria told me each vet sees 40 animals a day for at least £30 per consultation. The vet doesn't remember your pet, only making money.

Today we had an emergency. Our puppy was screaming followed by continuous shaking of her head and trembling. We drove immediately to Companion Care arriving at circa 11.45am. We were informed that the Vets and nurses were busy and we would have to wait until the evening or ring later in the afternoon to see if there was a cancellation.

Absolutely Brilliant Vet. When my poor old Springer Spaniel was poorly - and she was poorly for a while - Gavin did everything that he could to help her. We as a family do not believeve in prolonging the agony of a dog who is obviously old and unwell, and the vetinary practice was amazing, giving us tips on how to make her comfortable and decreasing her pain. In the end, we had to have her put to sleep. The staff at this practice were fantastic - I was a mess! Thank you to Gavin and all the staff.

Fantastic vets. After seeing various vets over time, that are nearer to my house, I now travel 45mins to this vet practice purely because of how brilliant they are. Gavin is truely a life saver that is so dedicated to animals with a no nonsense, thorough, friendly approach. Couldnt reccomend enough. My cat meekah would not be here without him.
