I used this vets for the first time after moving into the area. There are a lot of vets who are more about making money than are concerned over the well being of your pet but this vet is an exception. I know vets are a business and have to make money however this vet is clearly more concerned over your pets well-being. My German Shepard loved it there and was treated with care and confidence, will not go anywhere else now Read Less

My animals have been cared for at the practice almost since Richard set it up, before even Ann had joined him - a long, long time. I cannot speak too highly of the professionalism, the skill and the loving care that we have received. Richard undoubtedly saved the life of one of my dogs who was suffering from an acute, but mysterious illness and went to enormous lengths to treat (successfully) the very resistant colitis that was making the life of one of my cats a misery. As I have grown older, I have become disabled, so have adopted older animals, some with pre-existing health issues which have needed such frequent consultations that I have at times threatened to set up a tent in the waiting room. Ann has dealt with these with her constant proactive expertise and friendly approach. Nothing is ever too much trouble; time or distance (holidays in Scotland, for example!) are never an impediment to receiving help, and when my much-loved companions have reached the end of their road, she has ended their pain with a skill and compassion that has made the process easy for them and bearable for me. Cost has never been an issue, and unnecessary treatment has always been avoided. This is a truly excellent veterinary practice. Read Less

When I read the one review about pricing, I cannot believe we are talking about the same firm! My husband and I have been with these vets longer than I care to remember. The professionalism and level of service cannot be faulted, as an example, a night call at 9 pm about our GSD who had Gastric Volvulus (Bloat) in Dogs: A Life Threatening Emergency. We took our bitch to the surgery and Richard Chammings and Ann Carmen operated on her. At 12 pm they called me to say she in recovery and resting. Yes she made a full recovery when I called I had no idea what was wrong, but they summed it up. I have found their charges to be perfectly reasonable and in line with other practises and the care by all the staff of the animals to be exemplary. Read Less
