The front desk staff (Jennifer) is one of the most caring compassionate people i have ever met. DR GARRETT AND DR BOWEN are both Amazing vets and my furbabies have always been treated like they are my children when in this office. DR GARRETT is very sensitive and compassionate when the time comes for a tough decision has to be made (putting a furbaby to sleep) . I have used other vets in this area in the past and my animals sometimes wound up dying from something that should have been simple to treat. I will never use another clinic for my babies. The vet was extremely arrogant and condescending. He did a great job saving my dog and I am thankful, but he spoke to me like I injured my own dog. His staff members were friendly...and they are apologetic for the vet and explained "He doesn't mean to sound like that". He should work on his communication and people skills . I have had all my dogs there, two who were spayed and had their shots. Took my 12 year old in for a bad sinuses infection was treated very well. Love the ladies at the front desk they are always nice. Dr. Garrett is very fair with his prices. And is very good with the animals. Read Less

My first interaction with this doctor was over the phone, to ask him to come over to a house he had never been to, to see a dog that he had never seen and to put the dog to sleep.  There ought to be more vets like this out there, it would make a very difficult time much more bearable.  I didn't know this man from Adam, but he showed up, took care of what he needed to take care of with skill and compassion, and told me to send payment by in the morning.  What a class act.  He is my vet for as long as I am around, that is for sure.  If anyone out there is looking for a vet for their family, I cannot recommend him highly enough.  Thank you, Sir. I was told the price to spay my newly rescued dog was $70. Well the total cost was $130 because of the spaying and a blood culture (for heart worms) that I did not authorize. The people in the office were very matter-of-fact and not courteous at all. I didn't argue because we were glad to have our dog back, but I DO NOT recommend this business. The staff at this business is rude. I am extremely concerned about this offices treatment of animals based on their teatment of humans. On 3-11-2013, I called this veterinary office and spoke to someone by the name of Jennifer. I told her that I had been informed that their office received vouchers from the humane society to spay and neuter animals. Because my husband is in graduate school at Memphis Theological Seminary and we have 4 small children, I asked if we would be eligible to receive the voucher for the stray that we had taken in. She asked how much we could pay. I said, "I don't know, not very much." She said that if I couldn't give her a number then she couldn't help me and she hung up the phone. Astounded, but needing help for my animal, I called back. I asked if I could speak to someone else. She said that she was the only person who handeled this sort of thing. She would just have to take my name and number and get back with me. I asked for the name of the office manager. She said she could not talk with me because I was not being compliant with her and she hung up on me again. So, I called back a third time to get the name of the office manager. She did not give me a name but she did put me through to a male. I am still not sure of his name. He made several exuses for her behavior including that she was just very busy. I expressed concern that if the staff was this rude to humans I worry about their treatment of animals. He said it was my choice to use them or not. I am not sure if they are discrimating against those who use these vouchers and just treat them rudely or are this rude to everyone but the behaviour is certainly uncalled for. Read Less
