Caldwell Mill Animal Clinic exists to use the resources of God to provide and serve the people of this community by offering a broad range of pet care services and products, the quality of which is second to none.
We will accomplish this by:
Providing doctors and staff who will deliver, with compassion, the most up-to-date, yet proven and sound diagnostic, medical, and surgical service possible
Providing the most convenient, comfortable, and reliable bathing and boarding service possible
Providing and standing behind the finest quality medications and pet care products
Furthermore, we intend to provide the people of our community with the information and education they need to make the best decisions concerning their pet’s health care. Realizing that pets mean different things to different people, we are committed to providing varying levels of care, but extending the same compassion, empathy, and understanding to each client at all levels of veterinary care.

I would not take my pet anywhere but Caldwell Mill. We were recently on vacation and my dog was sick while boarding. Dr Wentworth called me multiple times to update, she took amazing care of our Ace and when I picked him up someone from boarding helped me to my care and was so kind. It makes you feel great to know Ace is so loved and cared for at Caldwell Mill. This has always been my experience!

Great experience and thorough. I have a clear view of what I am dealing with as our little Papillon received news that she may have to have surgery on both of her back legs. Her knees are dislocated. She is 7 years old and the time has come for more aggressive action. I believe we are in good hands trusting the Doctors at Caldwell Mills Animal Clinic.

Millie just turned 9 weeks old. We had a wonderful first puppy visit with both Dr. Christenberry and Dr. Martin. The Techs are loving and attentive, and Millie seemed right at home after a few minutes. The receptionist went beyond the call of duty to help me acquire a purchase that I wanted. I am looking forward to a lifetime relationship with Caldwell Mill!!

I can't say enough good things about the folks at Caldwell Mill Animal Clinic. I brought my dog home from the Greater Birmingham Human Society in February 2005 when she was about 10 weeks old. They have taken great care of Rainier for the past 13 1/2 years. It's clear that everyone who works there truly cares about the job they are doing as well as the service that they provide.
We moved several miles across town about five years ago, but continue to take Rainier to Caldwell Mill because of the level of service and care that they provide. Rainier deserves the best.

Went to see where our puppy would be staying over Memorial Day weekend and for standard boarding it looks just like the pound-clumps of dog hair on the floor, barking and crying dogs cooped up in little stalls close together, and not nearly enough space to play if you’re a little puppy. Can’t imagine these dogs could possibly sleep well at night here. The girl who showed us what the back looked like couldn’t have cared less!
They get two stars because we’ve always taken our puppy here for checkups and the vet is VERY good with him.

Now, I live across town but still bring her and my other dog for all their needs. I’ve tried other vets around town but I get the best and friendliest care from the entire staff at CMAC and I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. Thank y’all for being awesome!!

Very pleased with the service and the staff. We brought our puppy in to be spayed and microchipped and they kept us updated on her status throughout the day. When we went to pick up our puppy we met with Dr. Martin to discuss the results of the procedure. She gave us excellent post op care instructions and was very accommodating to our questions. We will be using this clinic in the future and would highly recommend it to others.

We can't say enough great things about CMAC, their staff, and Dr. Martin. We came here for a second opinion on our sick boy and fell in love. We had to say goodbye to our beloved black lab yesterday....the staff and Dr. Martin were absolutely incredible during this heartbreaking time. I couldn't have asked for a better and more caring experience. Thank y'all so much. We will definitely be back in the future.

My only experience with Caldwell Mill Animal Clinic as been related to the Cavalier Rescue of Alabama group. That being said, the clinic staff and veterinarians have always been very nice and helpful....
My only experience with Caldwell Mill Animal Clinic as been related to the Cavalier Rescue of Alabama group. That being said, the clinic staff and veterinarians have always been very nice and helpful. The clinic is consistently clean. They have separate entrances and sitting areas for dog and cat clients. They also have merchandise available including Birmingham's own Jazzy J collars, bow ties, and flower accessories. I would say the main reason I think this place is so great is their commitment to helping the cavalier rescue group. The clinic and its staff have assisted in the intake and vetting of hundreds of cavaliers who desperately needed medical attention, and for that they deserve to be supported and celebrated.

They recognized the symptoms immediately and quite literally saved his life. These people are all the absolute best. I originally went here for their grooming, Wet Nose Dog Spa. Took my Lily to get spayed, microchipped and annual checkup/vaccinations. From the moment I walked in until I picked her up, I was treated awesome. The girls up front were so nice and helpful. The sweet vet-tech came out and explained their procedures and eased my worries, because Lily is my baby. When I went back to pick her up, Dr Stewart came in and went over her procedure, recovery etc. He spent a long time with me, answering all my questions. He even walked out with me and Lily and helped put her in my SUV. I cannot say enough great things about this clinic. I have another furbaby and from now on this is my vet clinic. Thanks y'all for being so kind and caring. I will be boarding them for my vacation soon.

When My friend went to pick up Wyatt they forgot to give her his food and bowl. On top of that the girl at the front desk could not figure out why our balance was $0.. We paid it over the phone that morning. When Jordan came all the way back to get his stuff they gave her someone else's lower grade food and bowl. Wyatt eats expensive food and has a special bowl to slow him down while eating. I can only wonder if they feed him the correct food while he was there and if some other dog ate his food. It's not rocket science guys. Now Mitch has to go back tomorrow to get his food and bowl... (We live in moody) Not only do I worry about the food I worry about how my dog was treated. Obviously they where to busy to get the food right how do I know they got it right to let him play all day.

This is not only one of the best vet clinics in the area, but quite possibly one of the best anywhere! I have never felt like it is just business here (as with other places). You get the sense that they really care about their patients and take time to pet them and put them at ease. My dog actually gets excited when we pull up and that says a lot. I have used their medical, Bark Zone and boarding services and I will never take my dog anywhere else. I would give them 10 stars if it were an option!

Awesome vets and friendly, helpful staff. We love taking our dog there. They love our furbaby just as much as we do. We also board our dog there often, and take her to doggie daycare at Barking Zone.

We can't say enough great things about CMAC, their staff, and Dr. Martin. We came here for a second opinion on our sick boy and fell in love. We had to say goodbye to our beloved black lab yesterday.....
We can't say enough great things about CMAC, their staff, and Dr. Martin. We came here for a second opinion on our sick boy and fell in love. We had to say goodbye to our beloved black lab yesterday....the staff and Dr. Martin were absolutely incredible during this heartbreaking time. I couldn't have asked for a better and more caring experience. Thank y'all so much. We will definitely be back in the future.

Very friendly and competent staff. Doctors provide first class medical care. My only gripe is that they apparently do not believe that cats need pain management care before and after surgery. My cat had cancer surgery and they just sent her home with nothing for the pain.

My only experience with Caldwell Mill Animal Clinic as been related to the Cavalier Rescue of Alabama group. That being said, the clinic staff and veterinarians have always been very nice and helpful....
My only experience with Caldwell Mill Animal Clinic as been related to the Cavalier Rescue of Alabama group. That being said, the clinic staff and veterinarians have always been very nice and helpful. The clinic is consistently clean. They have separate entrances and sitting areas for dog and cat clients. They also have merchandise available including Birmingham's own Jazzy J collars, bow ties, and flower accessories. I would say the main reason I think this place is so great is their commitment to helping the cavalier rescue group. The clinic and its staff have assisted in the intake and vetting of hundreds of cavaliers who desperately needed medical attention, and for that they deserve to be supported and celebrated.

I can't say enough about the wonderful people here. During a long stay over Thanksgiving, my Old English Sheepdog happened to get bloat. They recognized the symptoms immediately and quite literally saved his life. These people are all the absolute best. I originally went here for their grooming, Wet Nose Dog Spa. Simply the best in Birmingham. Shout out to Dr. Sokol! :)

Took my Lily to get spayed, microchipped and annual checkup/vaccinations. From the moment I walked in until I picked her up, I was treated awesome. The girls up front were so nice and helpful. The sweet vet-tech came out and explained their procedures and eased my worries, because Lily is my baby. When I went back to pick her up, Dr Stewart came in and went over her procedure, recovery etc. He spent a long time with me, answering all my questions. He even walked out with me and Lily and helped put her in my SUV. I cannot say enough great things about this clinic. I have another furbaby and from now on this is my vet clinic. Thanks y'all for being so kind and caring. I will be boarding them for my vacation soon.

This was their first time to board for so long and we're happy they seem to have done just fine. We only called twice to check on them, that's pretty good out of 6 days! Thanks again.

When My friend went to pick up Wyatt they forgot to give her his food and bowl. On top of that the girl at the front desk could not figure out why our balance was $0.. We paid it over the phone that morning. When Jordan came all the way back to get his stuff they gave her someone else's lower grade food and bowl. Wyatt eats expensive food and has a special bowl to slow him down while eating. I can only wonder if they feed him the correct food while he was there and if some other dog ate his food. It's not rocket science guys. Now Mitch has to go back tomorrow to get his food and bowl... (We live in moody) Not only do I worry about the food I worry about how my dog was treated. Obviously they where to busy to get the food right how do I know they got it right to let him play all day.

This is not only one of the best vet clinics in the area, but quite possibly one of the best anywhere! I have never felt like it is just business here (as with other places). You get the sense that they really care about their patients and take time to pet them and put them at ease. My dog actually gets excited when we pull up and that says a lot. I have used their medical, Bark Zone and boarding services and I will never take my dog anywhere else. I would give them 10 stars if it were an option!
