Constant Companion Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital providing medical, surgical and dental care for dogs and cats.

 

Our name was born out of our belief and philosophy that our pets provide every bit as much care and comfort for us as we do for them. They are a constant source of love and companionship and their impact on our lives is significant.

Our Mission is to provide our patients with state of the art, high quality, compassionate veterinary care while exceeding our clients’ expectations, and providing our employees with the opportunity for personal and professional growth. We promise to maintain a comfortable and attractive facility, employ highly trained and compassionate health team members and provide our clients and their pets with exceptional communication and care.

Team
Dr. Foster is originally from Athens, GA. He attended Samford University in Birmingham, AL to play on the varsity tennis team. He earned a Bachelors of Science degree at Samford and then returned to Athens to attend the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. While in vet school, Dr. Foster met his wife Virginia who is also a veterinarian after graduation, the Fosters moved back to the Birmingham area and have been serving the pets of the area ever since. Dr. Foster enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine. He strives each day to give clients and their pets the best possible care in all situations. When not at work, the Foster enjoy most thigs outdoor and cooking fun meals. They never miss a quick weekend to the mountains. T/hey have two Austrian Shepherds, Annie and Terra.
Dr. Sara Choquette grew up in Anniston, Alabama. She started at Auburn University in 2001 where she received both her B.S. in Animal Science and DVM degrees. Following graduation in 2009, she completed a 1-year internship in Equine Internal Medicine at Oklahoma State University. Her first job out of vet school was at an equine referral practice in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. After 3 years, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, and worked with at small animal practice. In 2016, she moved to Birmingham and has been serving the cats and dogs of the Birmingham metro area ever since. She joined the team at Constant Companion in 2024. Dr. Choqueete has an interest in all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys all things outdoors including hiking with her two dogs, horseback riding, and mountain biking.
