PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE!! I was tricked into coming here out of fear! All they want is to turn a profit, not help out your animal. I had the worse experience bringing my 8 month 19lbs (that day) old puppy in for an upset belly. It was Sunday and this was the only place in town open. Next time I am driving to which ever city has an open vet close by weather it be Atlanta, Tuscaloosa, Montgomery, Huntsville or even Nashville. It would have to be life or death for me to come back to this establishment. First of all this place was absolutly disgusting. There were numerous stains on floors, walls, and medical equipment. I would have rather been seen in a fraternity house bathroom than one of these examining rooms! Now the vet tech was amazing! She came in and had my puppy playing, rolling over for belly rubs, giving kisses to the tech, my puppy was in heaven! My vet tech was so helpful, professional, and educated I thought she was the vet! And to be honest I really wish she was! Everything was okay at this point other than the cleanliness. But when this "Vet" walked in her energy was so negative I could sence it of course my dog did too. She took one look at my dog and kicled her foot in front of my dogs face and was shocked somehow when my dog did not like it. And didn't ask if she could mussle her just walked out and came back in with "muscle" a muzzle and a chocker collar!! My baby was terrified I should have walked out then and there! I have never seen an adult to bad with an animal in life let alone a vet.... I was so disappointed in the back of bedside manner this alone. But after only touching her belly for 10 seconds she asked no further questions, she suggested we ran some test and she scared me into it with an infomercial full of a 1000 was for my dog to die if I did not run these tests IMMEDIATELY. Of course I pay what ever they want to run these life saving tests! After a miserable 6 hours in the waiting room with chairs that dont have back reats in this filty vet after forking over $675.00 in testing. They now think it is a good idea to ask if I've changed her diet recently. I had and the smart ass response I got back had me appalled. This vet asked ME, why I hadnt brought that up sooner like she was paying me to find out what was wrong with my dog!!!!!! Of course me not being the vet who appeared to be a doing this for 60 years plus now did not think to bring it up first thing. Before the tests were complete I was sent home and told just tonchange her food back. She was fine after changing her food back of course. Something a vet should have been able to tell me over the phone! Safe to say you pay for testing up front. I was beyond pissed!!! Please do not make the same mistake I did! Read Less

I guess this place is ok in a pinch, but if I have an option of going somewhere else, I will. They know absolutely NOTHING about rodents. I called them once when one of our rats was doing very poorly and I was worried about her. They told me no one there knew how to treat rats and they refused to let me bring her in. I was astonished! How could they just turn away a sick animal like that? She could have died! And another time I had to practically BEG them to see my hamster when she was extremely ill over the Christmas holiday and our regular vet clinic was closed, and they agreed to see her only after I told the receptionist that Dr. Atlas at Riverview is our usual vet and that I would call him at home (at midnight!) and ask if he would call the Emergency Clinic and advise them on how to treat my hamster. Then we finally get there, an older female vet nearly had a heart attack when she roughly reached into the box where my hamster was and scared her, making her squeak very loudly and flip on her back in a defensive posture. (Hamsters only do that when they feel very threatened. I'd never seen this hamster do that before.) The vet jerked her hand back in fear, and looked extremely uncomfortable. I ended up removing my hamster from the box, wrapping her in a cloth and handing her to the vet, who then left the room with her for almost 20 minutes, which made me very uncomfortable. I've never had a vet leave the room with my animal before, I like to be there for the exam & diagnosis. But anyway, she gave us enough medicine to get us through 2 days until we could see our regular vet. So if I have a choice, I will definitely NOT be going here anytime soon. Read Less

PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY TO THE END IF YOU VALUE YOUR PETS LIFE! Last night I called ahead to let them know we were bringing in a critical older dog who had been in a dog fight, had extreme blood loss and was in severe shock. We had been gone for the day so didn’t know exactly when the fight happened. Right from our arrival, I had to ask for help to get him out of the car. They wouldn’t even do that until we checked in and they got a copy of drivers license. The “Dr” didn’t introduce us. She unwrapped him and tried to make him stand. She said he was too far gone and offered to put him down. Didn’t even want to treat him! Upon insisting she finally gave us an estimate for over night treatment... over $1000. And wouldn’t start treatment until they received payment. 3 hours later we made the decision to put him out of his pain while we were there to give him comfort as he passed in stead of locking him in a kennel to wait and see if he survived the night. Dr put him down (3re dog that night) while we were mourning his passing she went back to her desk sat her fat butt down and continued to stuff her face, calling her 2 nasty looking little dogs over and fed them scraps all right there in the room with us and our dead dog. Never use this clinic! They do not care about your pet nor your feelings! They only want your money! Please find another ER! There are several in the Birmingham area! Read Less

Dr. Ballegos is a miracle worker! I came home from work and my dog Harry was not using his back legs at all... I took him to my vet and they advised me to put him down. I said that I wasn't going to do that so they referred me to Dr. B who performed back surgery on Harry that same day, and after rest and recovery and exercise, Harry can run with the pack again! I have a cat who has back leg issues now, and Dr B has given me every option to help her, not just "put her down, quality of life, blah blah blah" like my original vet. Prices are steep but surgery is what it is, and I have an emergency credit card so it's all good. After all, my critters are my family, and I wouldn't put down grandma because she couldn't walk, citing "quality of life"! Read Less

I don't mean to be rude an I am not one to complain, but this is the most incompetent place I have ever been. My fiance was bitten by a stray dog and none of them seem to be able to tell me if the dog has been tested or if we should go ahead with the vaccine or really anything at all. I have been told five different stories the five times I have called and no one seems to be able to give me a definite answer to something this serious. I was even told that I was not allowed to know whether or not the dog (that bit my fiance!) Had rabies! I keep getting bounced around on the phone, put on extremely long holds, and still haven't gotten any answers. It is ridiculous. Rabies is 100% fatal and none of them are the least bit worried to help me and I could not be more frustrated. Read Less

Came here when we first got our puppy with an emergency. It was fantastic service, great vet. We are back again, believing she may have ingested some roach poison. I am writing this from the waiting room. The vet told us to call Pet Poison Control, and that she would come back in and take our case number. It alarmed us that she did not have the knowledge to tell us, instead we had to call someone else and pay a fee. It is now been 3 hours since that call, and nobody has seen us. The staff & doctors at Alford Avenue Vet Clinic are top notch & their expertise & attention to my precious weenie dog, Hidey Rose, helped to save her from impending paralysis! From the minute I got Hidey Rose, in February of 2010, they've always called her by name (and she only has had to come in for nail clippings & routine vaccinations!), every time I've walked in the door with her! They make us feel like she (and our family) are important & special & when I knew something wasn't right with my babygirl a few weeks ago, I took her in (didn't have an appointment) & they took her without hesitation to figure out what was wrong. Later that afternoon, Dr. Friddle called me personally to let me know Hidey needed emergency back surgery for a herniated disc & he & his staff had everything set up & ready at the Emergency Vet Clinic on Acton Rd with Dr Tony Ballagas & their staff ready to receive her with open arms & hearts. She received the absolute BEST CARE (as if she were a human-and to me, she is) & Dr. Ballagas performed intricate, delicate back surgery that Friday night & saved my sweet baby from paralysis. I can't thank everyone enough involved in Hidey's care, from beginning to end. Every single person who took care of us made me feel like Hidey was the most precious dachshund they were caring for (and they were caring for a multitude of animals!) & I am forever grateful to each & every person who loved on & cared for my sweet Hidey, as if she were their own dog. Last Thursday, I noticed my cat straining in the litter box for every 5 minutes. I took him to his primary vet immediately and was given a shot with some fluids (because he was only partially blocked). When I brought him back home on Friday evening, I started to notice blood in his urine. After monitoring him all night, I called the vet again on Saturday morning to let them know he is getting worse but was told to watch another 24 hours. (I wish I didn't). On Sunday morning, I couldn't wait any longer because my cat was severely sick and had no energy move. I took him to the closest Animal ER (Emergency & Specialty). Since this was my first visit, I was a bit concerned but I'm glad I made the right decision to come here. Long story short, my cat came back home healthy (thanks to Dr. Clark, nurses, and front desk staffs). They were all amazing, caring, and friendly. If your cat or dog is sick or injured, take him/her to Emergency and Specialty Animal Medical Center on Acton Road. I promise you'll be in good hands. Read Less

I'm a little shocked at how many negative reviews are on here... even a few recent ones. We had no issues at all when we took our dog to have surgery when she tore her ACL. Dr. Ballagas was wonderful! He was very nice and extremely informative. He drew out a picture to show us exactly what he did during surgery and explained everything in detail. I really think we lucked out and got one of the best vets there. Both receptionists were very nice. They called after surgery and let us know that everything went fine. We didn't have to wait long at all taking her or picking her up. Yes it's pricy but I expected that. I mean.. It is an Emergency vet. $3400 for surgery for a 150lb pit bull. And the doctor found that she actually tore her other ACL, so we'll be back for another $3400. Overall, we were very pleased! Read Less

I brought my dog to this location because it was the only one open at 10pm. My dog had not been drinking water for two whole days and had become incontinent. As soon as we sat down in the waiting room, my dog tried to eat three different peanut m&ms off the floor - all of which clearly came from the m&m candy dispenser they have in their lobby. smart. we were taken into an exam room and greeted shortly after by a young man who assessed the situation and wrote up her chart. he was kind towards both me and my mom, and my pup. about 10-15 minutes later, Dr. Edwards came in. She did not shake my hand, did not ask how I was doing. Did not smile or gave a warm disposition. She simply walked in and told me her name and asked "what's going on?" I noticed a dry erase board on the front of our door and written on it were all of my dogs symptoms and our reasons for being there. And of course there was her chart? We explained once again what was going on. Dr. Edwards was indifferent and eventually told us that my dog didn't really seem sick but that it was probably "just an inconvenience" for us. Please keep in mind I was worried enough about my dog to bring her in at 10 o'clock at night and overpay for the office visit (after reading other reviews, I guess this place is notorious for that sort of thing). she told us that my dog would drink water if she was thirsty and that she wasn't sure what she could give her to "magically make it better". I could go on about how she was rude to my mom but long story short, I was extremely unimpressed and obviously bothered enough by the experience to write this review. I would simply like to think that anyone working after hours at an emergency animal clinic would approach their patients/owners with a little more empathy. The only person who seemed inconvenienced was the doctor. I feel for anyone in this position but especially someone who has to bring their pet to this clinic. Read Less

When you come here, you likely don't have any other option as was the case for me. My cat experienced an obstructed bladder due to struvite crystals. He was catheterized at a different veterinarian but had to be monitored overnight when he was touch-and-go. He also needed an IV and pain meds while here. I used this clinic because it is the only overnight, active-monitored vet in Birmingham and was given no choice by my primary vet other than taking care of him myself which I was insecure about. The front desk employees were rude, callous and unhelpful. After I filled out paperwork, I brought it forward and then was called back for payment. During that process I realized they had incorrectly entered my cat's gender and, when I corrected them, the woman said smugly "Oh, I think the doctor would have figured that out". Wow. Yes, I'm sure he would see your error but you're not giving me any confidence that you can handle entering sensitive medical info like dosing amounts, history or allergies. They wouldn't allow me back when he was triaged, which I absolutely HATE given that it immediately gives me the impression they are doing something they don't want me to see. When I finally (1 hour later) got to go back and see him, it seemed like a total annoyance to the front desk and techs. The doctor seemed okay but was not particularly kind either. When I came back to get him at 6:30am the next morning (you're charged if you pick up your animal past 8am), the tech implied that my cat was vicious and that she was scared of him. She went so far as to saying she would prefer not to handle him to get him back into his travel carrier (her job). When I asked to see his chart, he was 2.5 hours overdue for pain meds... big shocker that he was cranky given he had a tube up his penis, was 2ft above a yippy beagle (why they don't separate dogs and cats, I don't know) and had an IV in and was IN PAIN. Her job was also to keep him out of pain but that seemed to be overlooked. The tech were SHOCKED when I pulled him into my arms and he snuggled there with no drama and commented that they didn't understand why he was mean to them... give me a f*cking break. I was so ecstatic to get him out of here, I just walked straight to my car so I have no clue if the morning desk crew are as colorful as the evening crew. This place is a necessary, overpriced and unkind evil. They get one star for existing and one star for keeping my cat alive but set your expectations low and don't come here unless you are in a dire situation and have no choice. Read Less

Please if you love your pet stay away from here. I have to live regretting that I didn't just let my baby pass away in my arms instead of in the hands of these cold, heartless monsters. In the same breath they told me his diagnosis and the cost if the treatment that may or may not save his life. The price was $1200 and they wanted me to sign the financial responsibility form and give them the money right then. When they seen I didn't have the money they instantly told me my only option was euthanasia. I completely fell apart. They continued to stand in front of me asking for the money. I am unable to have children and this dog was not just a pet he was my son. They refused to allow me to be in the room while my lil man closed his eyes for the last time. After all this they refused to give me my babies body until I paid them $397. At this point I could take no more. My husband emptied his pockets of every dime we had and demanded our son be given to us. Finally they complied but assured me I would be sent a bill due immediately. My niece and I brought her puppy, because it was after hours and on a weekend so her normal Vet wasn't open. The staff was very friendly, and offered excellent care. The puppy was diagnosed with Parvo, and given a 30% chance of survival. We couldn't afford to leave him in the hospital (which was recommended) and she didn't want to surrender him (which was also mentioned as a possible solution for his care). The Vet gave him fluids and antibiotics, along with detailed instructions as to how to care for him.....most of which she had already been doing and it verified the care she was providing. One week later, after quite a few 24/7 days of her pushing fluids every 30 minutes with a syringe, her puppy is doing great!! Thank you so much to the staff at this wonderful hospital. My niece had been doing her best, but he was vomiting most of the fluid she gave him. Getting medication for nausea, fluids that absorbed into the skin, and antibiotics gave him what she couldn't and all those efforts combined saved this sweet puppy.Read Less

Because so many have text about Cricket... She is finally home now after 24 hours and two vets later. The guys at Farmstead Veterinary Medical Center were able to get her blood count back up into a normal range. She's still weak but will take meds for a few days to get her strength up. Surgery for internal issues will probably be in her near future. I am very very disappointed in Emergency Specialty Animal Medical Center in Birmingham on Acton Road. I went there only because it was after hours for my vet and that was the emergency facility listed. I walked out after 10 hours and several $100s later with no answers. It took Farmstead Veterinary Medical Center about 15 minutes this morning to examine her and determine the problem. Walker County needs an emergency vet clinic desperately. I would not recommend Emergency and Specialty Animal Medical Center at all. While the staff for the most part was very courteous, the level of treatment is not what it should. Only retrieved a magnifying instrument upon my request. Appeared and acted as though she had been awakened from a slumber, and was far too irritated to provide for any animal but herself. Wanted to administer a shot of Benadryl but had no diagnosis or reason for doing so Was provided absolutely no medical care for my animal, truly a money generating corporate enterprise for the (40 vets who hide behind the liability protection of limited partnerships within their corporate cover) no compassion, care or the pretense of any type of professionalism extended DO NOT EVER under even the most extreme circumstances consider this facility as an option for medical treatment for your animals in the Birmingham area This appears to be a faéade masquerading as an emergency medical clinic designed to pray on the emotions of individuals who have compassion and care for their pets Read Less

Please if you care about your pet never walk in the door. My mom86 yrs old has had pampered poodles for 43 years. Her cherished poodle started breathing hard at 4:30 we called vet he checked her she might need overnight ( possible issues of pneumonia or pulmonary embolism but color fine heart rate fine but ma need overnight care and he couldn't for said he was going to be gone for next 7 days. Take her to action rd as they are open all night but you will need to pick her up by 8 in the morning. I will send her records by time you get there(all in less than 45 minutes) . We arrived we were first . Another dog came in running slight fever per own from injections earlier. They took them first we keep waiting. When we got in the Doctor who had just arrived was unbelievable. As I was giving credit card money and cost were paramount- I told Doctor it's an American Express I can put $10,000 on it and have another if needed just help my moms dog its policy I must go over potential fees I made it clear we are losing time I gave my card to the receptionist. I went back when I came in mom was sobbing I went to dr she said your mom is lying this dog has trauma and she fell on it and won't admit it. I said she walks with a cane I have been with her all day she lives with me. She couldn't get herself up if she fell but so what treat the dog. Now I'm trying to calm mom down she's sobbing grasping for breath I would never hurt her I did not I jur her , I stepped out to call the regular vet who examined her minutes ago he kept saying I'm so sorry I he said there were no signs of trauma I told him she questioned his skills because the dogs young was no longer bright pink he assured me it was I agreed as I was physically in the room when he Chechen her. I went back in now a tech is asking mom in the reception area the doctor wants to know how much rat bait you keep in the house. I said what she said I'm only doing what the doctor said I'm sorry I have to ask. I said I want to see the doctor now. We went back to the x Ray she finally took and said the rat bait bit again I said look I just called the vet who sent us here her tungsten was pink what does her blood show oh I haven't done any blood work . We have no rat bait I live in a clean home inside the city no barns no rats and the doggy is in a small fenced area near the house she doesn't roam. Well then your mom had to hurt her. I said take blood if you suspect rain bait what would be the treatment oh I'd give plasma the. Do something . Then she said I am concerned her oxygen level is going down I need to let you know the outcome might not b good so you need to know we do cremations or you can get that and an urn but it will take about a week. I said what is going on. I want mom to see her baby . We went back it was filthy old blood around the deal. Oh my where have I taken moms precious baby. I said what is the oxygen rate now well I don't know I don't have a tech to take it I said tell me how I will try. She brought it over as mom was peeking in the cage sobbing the doctor said get out now I got mom out sh said she's dying and there will be lots of blood. Mom is sobbing and shaking. I now concerned her frail 102 pounds may not make this either. I try to slip away to call my moms cardiologist as I'm terrified then the doctor comes out wow she didn't die . I took her aside and said you have not taken blood you a used my mom of poisoning the dog, then falling on it what s going on well I really don't know what's wrong with the dog but the outcome is bad I said is she suffering yes I said then put her down she's in pain and you say she won't make it and you are clueless correct, then do it ok but did you want the cremation ceremony and the urn I said lady charge whatever I'm on my way to the er with my mother money is the least of my concerns I told the receptionist just charge it. I went to take mom and her cane and the receptionist put her meal down delivered while we were sitting and she said hers the cost I literally signed it no clue what the amount. Then I got have a nice night. Read Less

Took my large mix dog, Abbey, because she was just acting like she didn't feel well one weekend. I probably could have waited to go to my vet Monday, but when my dogs hurt, to me it's like when a baby hurts. You don't know and they can't tell you what's wrong. She had pancreatitis. An easy fix. They were crowded that night but we still had great care. I see terrible remarks on here complaining about the cost. It's medical care. What do you people expect? Would you complain about the cost to treat any other family member? Your comments say a lot about the kind of pet owner you are. Read Less

Took my dog after finding a fully engorged tick on her. She was dealing with tick paralysis and basically had no use of her back legs. I got the tick out and took her here and the doctors took care of her immediately. Once in the exam room the doctors came to assure me that she was going to be fine and explained to me how they were treating her. I couldn't have been more pleased with their care. Prices are pretty standard for an emergency vet. But do realize, this is an emergency room so prices will probably be a little higher than your vet. I would definitely recommend if you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of taking your pet to the ER.Read Less

This clinic gets two stars because they are open when my regular vet is not, and because they have an animal internal medicine specialist. I would have given them zero stars based on lack of professionalism and the dirty state of the exam rooms. We were referred to this facility because of Dr. Lothrop, the internal medicine specialist. He drives from Auburn to see patients, but the staff never bothered to let us know that, and we waited more than an hour after our appointment time without any indication that the Dr. had car trouble. We would not have minded the wait if staff had just bothered to share that information. Instead, we were put in an exam room and felt like we were forgotten. Our pup had a pee accident in the floor of the exam room and I of course grabbed paper towels to do a clean up - - the floor was filthy which caused me to start looking around. There were spots of blood (yes, blood), spots which were NOT the same as the rust spots on various pieces of the stainless equipment, and some sort of unidentified sticky spots. The bathrooms for humans were also dirty - - nothing looked, smelled or felt clean.  The staff members that did speak to us were unprofessional and borderline rude. I was not allowed to be with my pup for the work-up done by the vet tech, but maybe she was concealing an even dirtier area???   Even though Dr. Lothrop seemed nice enough and was gentle with the exam of my sick pup, I hope I have no future need to return to this clinic. I would not return for a follow-up on this visit so searched until I found another vet/ clinic that could perform the test my furbaby needed - - a rhinoscopy. We went instead to Riverview Animal Hospital and were very pleased with the Dr., the staff, their ability to make a quick appointment for us, AND the cleanliness of the entire facility. Read Less

I wasn't very happy with the service we received. we brought our dog Bandit to the clinic because she had several puncture wounds from an animal that attacked her in our yard. we don't know what kind of animal, just that she came in the house and was wounded.  No one at the clinic asked us if she was up to date on her rabies vaccine.  I would think that would be important.  The doctor seemed scatter brained. he came in our room when he meant to go into the other examination room, then sent his technician to our room when she was supposed to go to the other room.  When Bandit was finally released they had her walk out instead of carrying her. She had a puncture wound in each leg and they had her walking.  She was only walking on three legs when she came out and she probably would have preferred not to walk on the other one that was injured but had to.  The technician didn't smile, she didn't wish us well, she just handed me the leash.  I also noticed when I got home that they cut her back dew claws and one of them was obviously cut too short and they cut the quick. I cut her dew claws and I have never cut to the quick.  Poor baby. that must have been why I heard her crying. One other thing is I told the technician when we got there that I had given Bandit 2 aspirin for the pain so she would let the dr know to prevent medicine interactions if he gave her anything. She didn't tell him.  would avoid this place if you can. Read Less

We've had to drive to the Emergency Animal Center twice. Once, two years ago for my rabbit Alice. The most recent visit was two weeks ago. Our Bengal cat, Zen, had crystals in his bladder and his urethra was blocked. They were able to get a catheter in him. This saved his life, and Zen stayed from that Friday night to Monday morning. We visited Zen Saturday and Sunday. He was very happy to see us and seemed to be in minimal pain due to all the pain meds. He really liked that stuff!  Monday we transferred him to our daytime vet where they operated on his bladder to remove the crystals. I have nothing but praise for the experience I had last night/early AM. My Saint Bernard showed signs of torsion (bloat) at about 1:14AM. I called ahead, and they met me outside. They were very kind. I was alone (husband out of town-on his way home). They quickly evaluated him (with my permission) and gave me easy to understand facts. Dr. Dodi Jacobi was very open and honest and spoke to me and my husband (on speaker phone). There was no pressure- just facts. It seems that they beat the odds for us- surgically. The price (although higher than a day time vet) was very close to the minimum estimate that they gave me, and they gave me two copies of all records, and a CD of X-rays for my vet. They offered me coffee, water, and candy while I decided if I could wait for the 2-3 hour surgery. When my husband came to get our dog and take him to our primary vet, they were just as kind and professional. I think the outcome will be excellent, but either way, they did the right thing. I am so pleased with this emergency animal center. Last weekend, my friend and I took my dog to the dog park because it was the first nice warm day we have had in a long time. After about an hour of playing, I noticed some people crowded around my dog babying him. After further investigation, we realized that he somehow ripped part of his paw pad off and was bleeding and limping. I called my vet, which was closed, but they had a recording that gave the number for their emergency animal clinic. I called and told them what happened, and they told me to go ahead and bring him in. After I arrived and filled out paperwork, I only had to wait a short while before being seen by Dr. Jacobi. She is probably one of the nicest vets I have ever seen. I am really picky about vets. If I am new to an area and trying to find a vet, if I don't get the right vibe from the staff, I take my dog elsewhere. Unfortunately sometimes, you are stuck. The whole freaking staff at this place was amazing. I ended up having to leave him there for a few hours because there were actual emergencies happening. I got a phone call when he was ready, and someone else came out and explained his condition and what they did, and told me about his aftercare. Luke raced out with his bandage and cone of shame. yelp.com/biz_photos/0ZG8… I was given antibiotics and we were on our way. A week later, my pup is back to normal. Although the weather is starting to brighten, I think I will still wait a couple more weeks before taking him back out into the elements. I am so bummed this place is an emergency clinic and not an everyday vet clinic. Read Less

Read Less

Read Less

I wish I would've never taken my baby here. Rude, inconsiderate, heartless staff with zero compassion. All they want is your money and have no feelings toward your pet. I wish every day that I had not chose to take my baby to this horrible place. Please I beg you, if you have any feelings for your pet stay far far away from this place.Read Less

Visiting from out of town, we took our Golden Retriever in at midnight before Thanksgiving with what turned out to be a life-threatening condition which required immediate surgery. Dr. Tolbert and his staff were patient and gentle, but up-front with us about the situation. Very upset, we called our home vet, who said he had referred patients there, and felt good with their ability and diagnosis, which was spot-on. They operated successfully and stayed in contact with us all through the process. Since Thanksgiving was a holiday, our dog stayed with them one day longer than usual. They cared for our dog professionally and kindly, and kept us informed. I hope we never have another pet emergency, but if we do, I'll be headed back there in a heartbeat.

Thank you for all your prayers and concern. Hopefully with continued meds and a few days of rest she will be back to normal in no time.Read Less

Took our boxer in for possible foreign object in her pad was seen by three individuals: One taking vitals ,one presented as a vet ,and one attempting to medicate. The individual claiming to be a vet is listed on the clinic's registrar; first name on the left top, attempted to squeeze and dig out what was described as "nothing that could be seen" with her fingernails without the use of any magnifying instrument, had to provide the flashlight on my phone to allow for proper lighting, did nothing but increase the discomfort level to the point of our dog crying in pain.

Read Less

Read Less
