We've been here twice because our primary vet has inconvenient hours for us a few days a week. The first time, both my dogs needed one single vaccine and a nail trim. I arrived on time to the appointment (and was the only one in the waiting room) and had to wait for almost an hour to see the vet. Then they gave my dogs a full workup and multiple vaccines without asking me or telling me and charged me $450. They remedied the bill, but the lack of communication is the issue here. Today, one of my dogs needs minor dental surgery. We made the appointment on Monday and the vet told us when to drop off and pick up. When we arrived today (Wednesday) to drop my dog off for surgery, they had no record of our appointment and also forgot to tell us that my dog shouldn't have eaten that morning. They ended up working it out but we had to wait an extra hour to pick her up. The doctors seem friendly and knowledgeable which is the only reason I give this place ANY stars, but we won't be returning! Read Less

After our other vet office closed, we decided to go with the convenience of location with our next choice of vet. With Hoke being very close to our house and directly in front of the place where we board her, it seemed this was the best choice for us. Let me start by saying that our dog is extremely hyperactive and loves new people and places. So whenever we go here, she is going nuts. But the staff is so friendly and love petting her, giving her treats, and tolerating her constant movement. This last visit was after our dog was limping and we noticed a spot on her foot. The vet we saw said although that spot was tender, he thought she hurt her leg besides that. A few days later when I realized that spot on her foot wasn't sensitive, I knew he must be right. He did not want to do an unnecessary x-ray which I'm sure saved quite a bit of money. He also gave her a shot that didn't even phase her. All of the doctors we have met are very informative, explain things well, and most importantly, genuinely care about our dog and her comfort. As someone who treats their dog like their own child, I really appreciate how the staff treats our pup. Read Less

Overall a frustrating experience. The receptionist working that day not only tried to insult my intelligence, but also went as far as to threaten to not allow my dog to be treated. She insisted that if my dog did not receive two more vaccinations I would be refused service. I understand the importance of immunizations, but my dog was already suffering from a UTI, and my limited budget would not stretch for another $80 in vaccines that same day. Now, six days out from our original appointment and two unreturned phone calls later, I still have not been able to get the results of my dog's urinalysis. I thoroughly regret the amount of time and money that I have had to spend towards their services. Read Less

My parents take their dogs there so after hearing their enthusiastic recommendation, I decided to bring him in to get looked at. They were amazing, Dr. Tucker right away saw what the other vet had done wrong, immediately gave him an antibiotic shot and a few days worth of antibiotics.
