The people here took amazing care of my 15 year old dog and walked her through the last phases of her life with dignity and as little pain as possible. This is the best place to take your animals for care. I have been using Valleydale for too long to remember but I would guesstimate about 15 years. They have carried me through an entire lifetime of my golden retriever. And at the end of her life and 3 cats, they are the best people to have at your side! They are the most understanding, loving, caring people to have with you during your time of loss. They mourn along side you as they have known your baby too those years. Jeff Falone has been there with me through the times of decision making on all of my animals and I could not ask for anyone better. He not only has the knowledge base but the "caring base" also and has been a great help and comfort to me each time a decision had to be made for the betterment of my animals. A great caring person for animals and people!! They continue to care for the "9 lives" of my 13 yr old, 3 legged mutt, my rambunctious, yr.  and a half yr. old female white lab. and my middle aged  2 stray cats that nave outlasted all the other cats that have come and gone at my house and through the care of this great clinic and fantastic group of people who care and love my animals as I do! Unfortunately I'm having to change my review from a glowing 5 stars after 4 years of loving this place.  They used to be worth the over hour drive.  Now, the service is slow, they can't keep a groomer, the new one is a dingbat, and the office staff acts like they can't keep it together.  They used to be #1, but I'm not sure I can go back unless they can get some people in that can handle a busy environment and not tell me 3 different things, and read off of the wrong chart after telling them my info twice.  I'm not sure why it used to take 3 hours to get my pup groomed, and now it takes 6 even after a cancellation. Dr Jeff is amazing with my animals and always listens to my tales of their issues. I credit him with providing quality of life to my 11 yr old dog with arthritis and he recognized and treated thyroid issues in my 9 yr old dog. The online pharmacy is AWESOME, especially since I live in St. Louis, MO and travel all the way to Birmingham just to take my dogs to Valleydale!! We love Valleydale Animal Clinic! We first started there when Dr. Okin was there, and now Dr. Falone. We have been so pleased with the compassionate, competent care our pets have received. They saw us through the loss of our loved two dogs who were in their teens and too sick to be cured; and now they take great care of our cat! Read Less

We use Valleydale as his vet, and boarder. They are very friendly, knowledgeable, and their prices are great too. My Timmy is actually excited to go to the vet! He is so hard to groom, but they are fabulous with that too. I don't take him anywhere else. Read Less
