I grew up with Dr. Corte being our family veterinarian. 19 years I've known him, and he's treated all of my animals, both equine and canine. There is no one on this earth I trust more! I've traveled or lived out of state for 11 of those 19 years and Doc is still the veterinarian I call. I drive my guys in from out of state to see him. He's as honest as they come. We went for our first visit today and we absolutely love Dr. Corte. He's an old school vet, an old biker dude that resembles Santa Claus. He seems like a great guy and he's fantastic with the animals and he doesn't try to upsale you on a bunch of additional unnecessary services.   We decided to give him a try after my husband brought home a tiny puppy someone dropped off at the dump next to where he's clearing land. Jazz was also due for her annual vaccinations.  We called the other vet that we'd been using and got a quote of $130-$150 per pup for shots. I asked a frugal friend where she takes her dog and she recommended Highland.  Sure enough, a vet check-up and shots for both dogs was $152, so half the cost.  Not to mention, Jasmine has had an on-again, off-again limp for several months. We noticed her leg got better, but she still limps from time to time.  Dr Corte watched her walk down the hall and said it's her knee, likely because of the way she jumped off of something, that it will get better, then she'll probably do it again and we'll see her limp, then it will get better again. Bingo!  That's exactly what's been going on. He said he could do surgery if we wanted to spend $3,600, but he wouldn't recommend it.  I love that I can trust him to take care of them, and if he tells me they need something, it's not an upsale, they really need it. The former vet we used wanted to put her to sleep and do surgery and I didn't want to put her through that if it wasn't necessary.  I also asked about spaying the little one in the future and they told me he won't spay until they're 6 months old.  I don't believe any reputable vet would spay before 6 months, so that was another positive.  Having a veterinarian I trust is a huge deal to me. We were very impressed with Dr Corte and his staff, and we will definitely be going back to Highland from here on out. Read Less

Louie (my cat) had an infection and abscess in his right ear. I took him to Highland Clinic on 31 DEC 2016. I was seen within 15 minutes of my arrival. Dr Cortes is a hoot.... in practice 50 years, no nonsense vet. I enjoyed my visit. Read Less

Good clinic but beware if you just take your pet in for routine shots and ask a question about something else you'll probably get charged extra. ...I found this out the hard way and won't be back. If I had known a question would cost me an extra $60 I would've kept my mouth shut... Read Less

Doc had a rough job this morning helping us manage our families broken hearts.Our beloved boxer Rocky is now getting his angel wings.Doc you're amazing - kind and we appreciate all you have done for our family and our furry family too!Sad day but we know Rocky's earned his angel status forevermore!! They are extremely helpful, straightforward, and reasonably priced. We are beyond impressed with Dr Corte and the rest of the staff. They truly care and are very knowledgeable. We trust them with our fur babies and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good vet. Read Less

Took my 15 year old dog there to have a growth looked at and it was recommended after it swelled back up to remove the cyst. My dog came home and didn't want to eat and had gooey stool. Did not eat for several days and took her back. My dog had 6 pounds. They took her temp and said she was fine and had no temp. And to give her some chicken and rice. She is still not eating and I'm taking somewhere else. Read Less
