Super fantastic. I love my VET near my home, but when I head to GS, AL I take my precious Gia to MBTG. The staff is exceptional, they are very warm and receiving of my sweet girl when I check her in. I have a 15 year old dog, took her to them and they were so gentle and great! They knew she was old, and we were there for a checkup and rabies shots. They did not push us to buy something we didn't need. We have never been able to trim her nails, bit there, she was completely calm amd they were quick and gentle. I had an appointment at 9:00 today for my dog Honey. Went in a little early to fill out paperwork just like they told me to do previously over the phone. Everyone else in front of me and behind me were served or greeted with "Hi! May we help you?" etc. With me, all they said was to "take a seat and they would call me when they were ready" after standing there awkwardly for a few minutes. I didn't even fill out the paperwork because they didn't seem to want to hand any over. After about 15 minutes of waiting and watching everyone ELSE being served and treated with respect, I left. I am a extremely picky dog mommy. My little one is a princess and only gets the best. We have recently moved to the area and needed to find a vet. We have used the same vet in our old town for many years and she was perfect, so I did not have very high hopes in finding another perfect vet! I asked around and received several recommendations, however Magnolia kept coming up. So I called and made an appointment for today. As we pull up, I was delighted to see the cutest Christmas decorations in the yard. It was a nice surprise to be able to walk into the office and it not smell like a vet. The ladies at the front desk were extremely nice and helpful. After completing my paperwork, I literally waited about 2 minutes and was headed to a room. The room was very clean and looked new. I was over the moon with Dr. Adam. He was extremely professional and treated my baby as if she was his own. He discussed several diseases that I should be aware of in the area and made me feel relieved that I chose the right vet. I am so excited to say that we have found our new vet in Paradise!! If your pet needs care while in the Gulf Shores area, I highly recommend this place. The staff is very friendly and goes above and beyond for your furry friend. My dog had something stuck in her paw and we drove here based on a recommendation from family. I walked right in, told them what was going on and they were quick to give my Bloodhound care. She was scared to come in so they came out to the car and had the object removed in a matter of minutes. They were very friendly and compassionate towards her, not to mention pretty quick to get the thing out of her paw pad. I cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you Magnolia by the Gulf!! We haven't lived here long, so we hadn't had a chance to become established with a veterinarian. We were first directed here when we adopted our Maggie from the local animal shelter, and they transported her here for her spaying, shots, etc. The staff here are very caring and very sweet with the animals. We have since brought one of our cats here, and Dr. Niesje Langston is great. She is outgoing, personable, and her love for animals is evident. I didn't feel as though I was pushed along so the next patient could be seen and the next dollar be made. I don't know how this place compares in price to other veterinary clinics in the area, but all we care about is how our well animals are cared for. I believe we have found a good place! We will be boarding next week, and see no reason for an equally great experience. Read Less

We've taken our pets there twice for boarding & I can assure you they won't go back. I had called prior to the reservation to get an estimate for my puppy and cat to be boarded, bathed and nails clipped. I was told between $300-$350 for the 5 days over the holiday. When I went to pick them up, the bill was $425, which didn't sit well at all but on top of that our pups nails weren't trimmed and she has kennel cough. When my husband called to see what could be done since she was coughing so hard she made herself vomit and had a fever, we were told that she had a cold. We will be taking her to another vet to be checked out. It is extremely disappointing to be let down by the people you trust to care for your beloved pets. Read Less

This has got to be the most expensive animal clinic in the area! The service and quality of care are very average but the price would make one think that they are at John Hopkins. If you are like most of us in todays world where every penny counts please find another place to take your animals. There has got to be a place that offers this average care at a better price. Love, love, love this clinic and staff. They've been great with all my fur babies. Rushing to care for my Lucy that collapsed in the parking lot after vaccinations and saving our girl as well as keeping our beloved chihuahua alive for several years after a tough diagnosis. This clinic and Dr McGill were so wonderful to us when we were visiting Gulf Shores. Our 16 year old yorkie Annabelle was sick and suffering and they made her passing easier for us. Their compassionate care was very appreciated. Annabelle was my husband's last link to his mom as Annabelle was her dog and she died 4 years ago. The clinic even sent a sweet card the next week. I could go on and on about how wonderful this particular animal clinic is. Niesje Langston is a LIFESAVER!!! She honestly saved our vacation and helped our sweet dog feel better on such short notice. Our dog had an emergency (sand impacted in her stomach) and we had an appointment within a few hours. And for not being a regular patient the wait time wasn't long at all. Today was Petey's first day here at this vet, and the staff was so kind and friendly. Petey had a visit last month at another vet and was not treated very nicely because of his reputation of just being a bulldog and his size. Lee Ann McGill and her staff are beyond amazing! In 2 months I have had to put two of our furry kids asleep. Their compassion and love for each animal is beyond words. Today was no different. Our 12 year old crossed the Rainbow Bridge and again we were comforted to no end by Dr Scarlett Anderson. Our girl was in her words "The sweetest one". I just got the courage to call the office to start my (Guffy) as a new patient. I'm from Michigan and moved down here in February and have been terrified to take him to a new vet clinic. Back home I've used one vets office all my life. I'm 54 years old. Guffy is my support dog and as all of you he is my world. When I called the gal that answered the phone was so friendly & helpful. I just wanted to say I love that office. They are all about your animal first, not about the money. I have never seen in all my years a vet or vet techs who cared so much about a person and their pets. I have been going to them around 9 years now. I don't know what I would have done without them. We took our aging dog Marty because he was having some health issues wile we were visiting our home in Gulf Shores.  He was experiencing loose stools which was concerning us about getting him home on a long drive. Dr. Anderson examined him carefully and after talking with us suggested that there was a couple of different courses of action we could take.  If we wanted we could undergo a battery of test which would probably confirm her diagnosis of cancer of she could send us home with some antimalarial medication and some antibiotics which would make him comfortable and help us get him home.  We chose the second course of treatment and after four days Dr. Anderson called to see how he was doing expressing much sympathy for both us and Marty.  I would highly recommend this vet clinic.  It is clean, neat, and efficient. My much-loved little 15-pound Maltese was mauled by a black Lab while walking on leash in the neighborhood where I was vacationing. No evident penetration of the skin, but significant bruising, and we were both traumatized. I did some quick online research and found Magnolia Clinic had some great reviews, and I liked the look of the information on their website. I called and let them know I was bringing Zoe in, and Dr. Anderson was ready for me when I got there. She was absolutely wonderful, warm and professional and informative. X-rays showed broken ribs as well as tissue damage, so surgery was recommended. Dr. Anderson gave me a complete printed list of recommended treatment and costs so I could make an informed decision. I'm so so glad I decided to go ahead with the surgery and treatment. Zoe stayed two nights at the clinic, and Dr. Anderson called me several times with updates. When I picked her up, the bill was exactly what the estimate had projected, and it was reasonable. I was provided with CD's of the X-rays and other data to take to my vet in Mobile, and Dr. Anderson even called him to confer on post-op treatment. Wow. Just wow.I found the clinic itself to be modern, clean, and welcoming, and the staff professional and caring and efficient. If you are new in the Foley/Gulf Shores area, or visiting from out of town, this is the place to take your beloved pets. Highly recommended. Read Less

Lots of good reviews of this place are on Google but not much on Yelp. I rarely find time to write reviews but as someone traveling who had a beloved pet fall very ill, I would like to unreservedly recommend Dr. Langston in particular and the clinic in general. If you're dealing with a pet emergency (or the possibility of one) on your trip and aren't sure where to go, go here during business hours - don't procrastinate and wait until the middle of the night, because you could pay 5-10 times more at the closest emergency clinic. Even if it turns out to be nothing, the FORTY DOLLAR (or slightly less, actually) office cost will provide peace of mind. A fairly long summary of our experience follows so I can illustrate why Dr. Langston has earned such glowing praise. My generally healthy bulldog suddenly manifested bloody diarrhea, and not slightly bloody. "Raspberry jam" is a common way this is described - sorry for the graphic image. It was the middle of the night and we were in Orange Beach. An emergency vet clinic in Pensacola was the closest option so after the first bloody and horrible accident inside the condo, we made the drive. I don't want to slam the other place too much so I won't name it  but after arriving around midnight (again, NOT Magnolia, they weren't open yet) we waited over 2 hours to get a "treatment plan"/proposed bill that had over $1200 of billable items listed. Mostly diagnostic tests, only a couple of treatment items. Although a brief discussion of possibilities occurred, NO explanation of the differential diagnosis was offered. NONE. The vet disappeared and was basically unwilling to discuss anything further. We opted for a minimalist treatment approach, left and went home to wait it out. We came back after yet another very bloody stool was passed. This time it was about another 90 minutes to get to speak to the vet on duty (that comes to 3 hours of driving and, being charitable, 3 hours of waiting). I am not a vet or doctor but have some insider knowledge of these topics for professional reasons, know a bit about how good docs practice medicine, and felt confident my dog who had no history of liver issues or visible symptoms didn't need a full workup including liver enzymes, or a radiograph scan based on history etc. right off the bat. The biggest concern was shock so we left him there (we stayed in the parking lot) to receive IV fluids and antibiotics the rest of the night (all 2 hours of it) until he had to be discharged. We called several clinics at 7am and the most responsive was Magnolia. I had the records faxed over (they contained several inaccuracies, unfortunately), drove over, and sat down with Dr. Langston. She felt the wait and see approach with IV fluids and antibiotics was appropriate and more economical. I'm not just praising her because she agreed with me, however, but because she didn't even try to encourage us to pay for anything that wasn't strictly necessary. In fact my girlfriend wanted a workup on our other dog and Dr. Langston indicated it was probably not even needed. GOOD vets rely on the presentation of symptoms, medical history, and an assessment of tradeoffs of financial cost to the client versus the possible health cost/risk of neglecting to address each possible issue, in light of the likelihood of that issue at each phase of treatment. They don't use the shotgun approach or quadruple the cost of the first line approach simply to check for  issues that are  fairly unlikely to begin with. EXCELLENT vets can do all this while giving the patient a clear idea of what's going on, plus a timeline and and the rundown of each possible scenario and the respective approach that would be used, its costs and tradeoffs, etc. That's what we got over at Magnolia. I kind of hate to slam another clinic but this comparison is provided as an illustration of how much difference it can make having a great vet whose primary concern is practicing medicine in a way that benefits the patient even if it doesn't benefit their revenue as dramatically. If I didn't have a little bit of background knowledge I'd be out of a lot more money because I care greatly about my dog and emergencies require tough, fast decisions. That's why I recommend going with this excellent provider even if you aren't entirely sure it's needed, just to avoid getting stuck with inferior options after business hours. If I had brought him by Magnolia during daytime hours I also wouldn't have stayed up all night and been given the runaround. I should also add the interior is sleek and contemporary, staff is genuinely warm and professional, and the office visit and procedure costs are much lower than most clinics. Read Less

My chihuahua had a seizure which left her unable to stand or walk and was seen by another vet and deemed hopeless. Dr Niesje Langston at the Magnolia Small animal Clinic immediately place her on medication which in less than a week had her able to stand and take a few steps, It has been a month since then and she is now able to run and play and almost back to normal .Dr Langston and McGill are a cut above any Vets I have ever dealt with.
