Standifers has been our Vet for 2 generations and they continue to give the highest quality of care. Dr. Standifer is the best Vet in Bham in my opinion and he has a way with animals that is unmatched. We had our most beloved cat get injured last week and we had to put her down. Dr. Standifer spent an hour with us and was so kind and gentle with Francis.. We couldn't have done it without him. Would not consider going anywhere else.

The only reason I brought my kitten here and not my regular vet, the excellent Ken Harris at Southside Animal Hospital, is because I got a reduced spay certificate that was only offered at certain vet clinics in the area, this being the closest. First off, they were late opening. From reading the other reviews, this is business as usual. The examining room where I was taken was filthy -- fur on the floor and an unclean examining table. A tall post-middle age balding man walked in the room. I guess this might have been Dr. Standifer, but how would I have known since he didn't introduce himself. He seemed very preoccupied and uninterested in me, my animal and a secondary symptom my kitten was exhibiting, unrelated to the spaying procedure. He took my kitten to another room with loud barking dogs, never explaining what he was doing. I'm glad my cat made it out alive. I deplore this clinic and wouldn't advise any pet owner who cares to bring their animal here. Some bedside manners and hygiene would be a good start, Dr. Standifer, who ever the hell you are.

Horrible! Performed unnecessary procedures without authorization and the office manager yelled when the charges were questioned! Refused to produce itemized bill.

Took my 12 year old Long-haired Chihuahua there this past Friday night after I accidentally knocked a floor standing easel over on her. I was terrified that she might have a brain injury since the easel fell on her head. We were helped by a caring and friendly staff. I appreciated that there were no expensive unnecessary tests done on Magnolia. We received excellent vet care and left feeling good about the entire experience. Vet was extremely personal and kind. I will go back there if I ever need after hours care.
