They're courteous, kind and will do what they can for your animals! My cat has seen them twice and was always been helped quickly and with a level of care that exceeded my expectations. Last week he was limping really badly and I couldn't figure out why. I called the night before and got a morning appointment, didn't even have to wait in the lobby, and was sent home in under 30 minutes with minimal but necessary medication. I also asked them to avoid sedating him and they listened. Which has not been the case everywhere. Read Less

PC was taking care of a rescue dog that we later adopted and brought into our home. There are about 5 other vet offices that are closer to my home and that I drive past, but we chose to bring our sweet dog here because the staff cares so much. He literally runs to the back for his boarding and everyone seems genuinely happy to see him and care for him. This facility is very professional and takes great care of all my pets. It is easy to get an appointment and they offer excellent care packages to cover all vaccines and visits. The veterinarians are good at explaining what is going on and what each treatment does. They did a supurb job at thinking outside the box to figure out why my kitty had an unexpected reaction to medication. The entire staff is very friendly and the interns are learning from the best! I love this place and so does Arabella. She was recently hit by a car and had a leg amputation. They told me no matter how stupid my question is, to just call and I have and they have been super nice about answering questions and making sure she is back to her old self again. I brought my very sick puppy to PCAC before I could even have an initial visit, and I was simply amazed by the service and care that both my puppy and I received. All of the techs did their jobs impeccably well, operating at the highest degree of both efficiency and genuine regard for my pup's well being. Dr. Buird's care was just as amazing. They worked with me to give my pup the best support possible in the face of a dire situation, and because of that service I can't imagine taking an animal to any other clinic in the area. I can't say enough about Dr Whitworth and Veronica and staff,I had to meet them on an Emergency situation my 8 month old Phebee ate gorilla glue it was a very sticky procedure to say the least and I had been 2 other places to try and hands down they are the BEST CARING LOVING team to have in your Pets corner and I am so ever thankful to all that they did the phone calls constant contact with me and there anytime while I needed them I Will drive from Greene County any day to have the kind sweet wonderful compassionate Team take care of my furbabies 6 days after surgery she is like nothing has happened they take the time to go over A-Z care instructions and I've even had to make a phone call and was told anytime day or night call don't hesitate and I know it was meant from the heart I would definitely 100 percent recommend them to anyone Thank you Patton Animal Chapel Paw hugs and wet nose kisses from Phebee and SuzetteRead Less

The vet techs are so friendly and Dr. Whitworth takes his time to examine and explain what is going on with my dog. After just moving to the area, we visited Dr. Buird with Patton Chapel Animal Clinic due to our injured fur-baby. Dr. Buird was real professional, nice, and courteous during the duration of the visit. All support staff are welcoming and very nice to the animals. Drs. Whitworth and Bird have ben great to our family. We moved here about 3 1/2 years ago and found this clinic pretty much at random. From day one, Dr. Whitworth has made us feel at ease with the care of our animals. He explains the reasoning behind any tests he suggests, but doesn't guilt trip you if you don't do them. The whole staff has always been friendly and helpful, and we have never had a problem getting an appointment. The only drawback is the facility itself. I realize that a place where animals frequent doesn't lend itself to being squeaky clean, but the whole facility just seems kind of run down. could definitely use a renovation, but if it keeps the prices good, I am ok with it just the way it is Read Less

We have 2 dogs and 2 cats that go to this vet. Atmosphere - Clean. Well lit. Staff - Friendly, helpful Experience - Prices are reasonable. They offer boarding also. Our pets love going here and when are big dog was a puppy the vet was very helpful with training. Today we had to put our 17 year old cat down. The staff was very thoughtful. They put us in a room. Came and got Burnie to start an IV. They brought him back and gave us time alone. After a bit the vet came in to administer the medicine. After Burnie passed we left. Do to the emotions they mail a bill rather then make you pay right then. Such a sad day to write this but I can't describe how great they where for us on this horrible day. I moved to the Hoover area recently and went here for my 16 y/o Chihuahua's routine check up after reading good reviews. Now, I know why there are so many good reviews. This place is great, they don't try to nickel and dime you, they offer good financing for more pricey procedures, and Dr. Chase is very easy to relate to and down-to-earth. When I was worried about my dog's ear, he even offered to let me look down his otoscope to see for myself. My little baby, Nacho, will not be seeing anyone else while we're in Birmingham! Read Less

When we moved to Birmingham, our vet from Madison recommended Dr. Whitworth since we live near Patton Chapel Animal Clinic and I'm glad he did! The place is always very clean and we've always been able to get a same day appointment. The vet techs and Dr. Whitworth are very patient with our hyper dog and take their time when examining him. Dr. Whitworth is willing to explain what's going on with your animal and always has a few minutes for football chat.I would definitely recommend Patton Chapel Animal Clinic if you're looking for a vet.
