Only Cornerstone Vet in Madison has lower prices. Vets are experienced. Dr Mueller is loud to intimidate the pets so they don't bite and scratch. Front office likes to power trip yelling that you cannot read your pets records. Some of the vet techs are scary looking. From visiting Best Friends in Madison, I don't like the let by cat out of sight when at the vets. Best Friends did a 1/2 assed job of claw trimming, and I could tell that they abused my cat cat when they took him out of sight. Afterwards, he'd go psycho when I took him back to Best Friends. Took my cat after he became I'll over the weekend. This office was one of the only places open on Sunday. I called the office and they agreed to see him even though I had never been here before. When we arrived the staff was professional and very understanding. Our wait was very short and the Doctor was quick to examine my cat. Took our 9 month old mini dachshund, Willy, in at 6:45p the Thursday night before Christmas (they close at 7p) because he was trembling and panting. Found he had swallowed a straight pin. Rather than sending us to the Emergency Clinic as we had expected, Dr Anderson operated and stayed with him till he was stable. Willy has done fabulously with his surgery and is back to normal. What made this more remarkable is that it was the first time we had taken our little guy there so we were not regular patients. We felt this was above and beyond what we might have expected and we are very grateful for the care and compassion shown by Dr Anderson and his staff. We just brought our lab Bradley in with his face and neck swollen. As soon as they saw him we were immediately taken to a room and the doctor was right there checking him out. I have been taking my cat, Simon, to this Clinic ever since my Daughter gave him to me. All of the Doctors, as well as other Employees, were careful while handling and caring for him. I had a really great experience when I took my pup here earlier today for some tummy troubles. The staff was extremely friendly and they do not charge an emergency fee like lots of vets do that are open on the weekends. I got out of there paying less that $100, including her medications. I had to take my 6 month old Weim to the clinic on a late Friday afternoon. She had already been to another vet twice, and been told she would be fine after medication, and I had only had her 19 days. Dr. Sanders was very thorough with her exam. She explained everything to me and answered any questions I had. Zoie had to have surgery and I was told before hand that she may have to be euthanized on the table. Unfortunatly she did have to be put to sleep. Dr. Sanders was very compassionate toward me as well as toward Zoie prior to her surgery. Dr. Kevin Anderson has been treating our dogs since January 2010, when we first moved to Huntsville after living in Germany for fourteen years. We had a Dachshund (Gretchen) that had constant health problems. Dr Anderson spent time working with her and treating her, making sure she felt better. He cared for our Gretchen when she was very sick and guided us all the way to the end. Shortly after her passing Dr Anderson contacted us about a stray Dachshund that needed a home and we decided to take her in. She is the best dog and very loving. She too has had a few health problems and again, Dr. Anderson has seen us through all of them with her. Our Miniature Pinscher is also a patient of Dr Anderson's and he is extremely healthy and we always get a phone call after every teeth cleaning letting us know he did well. Dr Anderson is an outstanding Veterinarian and is compassionate and caring. He has gone above and beyond what was needed for our pets. He takes pride in what he does, is knowledgeable and his level of expertise is outstanding. I can not say enough good things in a short review about Dr. Anderson, he is an amazing Veterinarian and we are very thankful for all he has done for our pets and family. My dog chewed my asthma inhaler and had tremors and a fast heart beat when I found him. I took him to Animal Care Clinic and Dr. Anderson immediately brought us back and took excellent care of him! We are so thankful to have this clinic. Dr. Anderson is not only excellent with our cats and dogs health, you can see that he really loves the animals. When we had to make the tough choice to put down our cat, Dr. Anderson was kind and so thoughtful. He even mailed me a paw print later on for which I was so thankful to have. We were clients of Animal Care Clinic for years. When my dog became ill, they discovered he had prostate problems. At initial diagnosis, they gave us medications to address the symptoms. He continued to decline the following week and we returned to ACC. During this visit they gave us more expensive and useless medications that my dog could not take, because he would not eat. A symptom that I had informed them of when we arrived. We asked the Vet for direction or guidance. They mentioned options, but did not seem too concerned. So after 3 weeks of watching my sweet dog suffer, we went for additional help at another clinic, who immediately referred us to the hospital in Decatur. My dog passed away and we had his remains shipped to ACC for convenient pick up. After all that has happened, we have received cards and phone calls of condolences from the Referral Hospital in Decatur, Paws Memorial Services, and Hampton Cove Animal Hospital. All of which did not know my family or my pet. The one place that we did not receive any thoughts or words of condolence was the place who claims "Nobody Cares More Than Us". Not one word about the loss of my dog. The only thing they were concerned about was receiving payment for the medications that my dog never needed, nor took. We don't mind paying for services for our pets. They are our family. Too bad that the people offering those services don't feel that way. In the end, it seems as a battle for which clinic gets your mighty $dollar instead of who can better care for your pet. Due to expenses we incurred during the final moments for my dog, we were unable to immediately fulfill the payment agreement made to ACC. Again, we did not receive a "So sorry to hear of your pet's passing" Instead we heard, "You still owe us money" and "sign this so that we can send you to collections or garnish your wages if you don't pay. I still have all of the useless medications they are charging me for. Oh Wait! "Nobody Cares". If you need to board your pet, get routine care, or if your pet is very ill, there are much more wonderful facilities around town. Where "Everyone cares". This is the second animal that we have lost to the care of ACC. It will be our last.Read Less

I was visiting a friend in Huntsville when my sheltie got sick. Since it was a Sunday I chose this clinic over going to the emergency clinic. Dr. Muther saw Bullet and was extremely polite and very thorough in her examination. It turned out that he apparently had stomach problems and needed to be changed to a prescription food to accommodate his sensitive stomach. After a few days being on the special food he was feeling much better and he was eating more food than he did before and is coming up to a healthy weight. Read Less

Nobody cares more than us?!?! That's a joke! My cat passed away there a few weeks ago and when I called to get info they were rude, didn't once say sorry or anything. My cat passed away, alone in a cage because these jerks didn't call my family to come see him knowing he was not going to make it. My family will never take our pets here again and I truly hope they go out of business. All they care about here is money and getting the most they can out of you! If they cared, if they had one ounce of compassion this would not have happened. They would have called my family the morning they opened and would have told them to come down there and see him and not just let him die alone. They were rude to me when I went to pick his body up as well, they are snoody and soulless people. I can only hope and pray that they go out of business and never touch another animal ever again. I was so impressed with Animal Care Clinic and especially Dr. Sarah Tankersley.  Our dog had severe vomiting all night on a Saturday night.  The next morning the only place open other than the Emergency Care Clinic was Animal Care Clinic.  No appointment is ever necessary.  They saw us right away and took x-rays of my dog's stomach.  Nothing showed up.  They gave my dog something for nausea and fluids because she was dehydrated from all of the vomiting.  My dog didn't vomit any more but the rest of that day and all through the night she was lethargic.  I took her back first think the next morning.  They took more x-rays and again saw nothing.  They did exploratory surgery and found part of a silicon pacifier in her intestines.  Dr. Tankersley called me with regular updates.  She also encouraged us to visit our dog as often as we wanted.  And they meant it.  We went twice a day to visit her and the staff was welcoming.  They put us in a room and closed the door.  We were able to spend quiet time with our dog as long as we wanted.  We were able to take her home four days later, on Friday.  Our dog is healing well and perking up.  We have to get the staples removed later in the week.  We are so appreciative of the service we received.  Thank you! Unfortunately, we had to have our 18 year old dog and best friend euthanized due to advanced cancer.  They provided the original diagnosis and advised us on what to expect over the next few months.  When the time came where it was obvious that our buddy was starting to suffer, they were quite gracious and understanding of our emotional pain and treated our dog with respect and tender hands.   In general, we have found their fees to be quite reasonable compared to other vets and have found them to be very understanding and compassionate. On Sunday February 26, 2012 I took my 18 year old cat Rosemary to ANIMAL CARE CLINIC located at 11351 South Memorial Parkway inHuntsville, Alabama. My regular vet is closed on Sunday's. I have been to this place manytimes over the years and have never had problems. Until now.These so called doctors are so unprofessional that they NEVERintroduce themselves.  I do know the owner is Susan Muller Esneault.On Sunday Rosemary was very weak and walking in circles and couldnot keep her balance. She also had not eaten. I told the doctor at theAnimal Care Clinic all the problems she was having. She said she has dementia and seems to be dehydrated. She asked to keep Rosemary overnight toadminister fluids. She also said she would give steroid pills to make her eat.She said to check back tomorrow (Monday).Monday morning I went to check on her. The same vet told me that Rosemarywas not behaving and trying to bite people while trying to give the steroidpills. She said no pills were given. I asked about her weakness and if she waswalking better. She told me she didn't know because the cages are too small for animalsto walk in. Hmmm......Well, I left there thinking......"Isn't it their JOB to give the medication?This is an 18 year old, fraile, declawed and probably has 3 teeth in her mouth cat. She couldNEVER over power anyone in that building. What about administering the pills with gloves?Why not call someone to hold her down? And why couldn't they have taken her outof the cage long enough to watch her walk???"I was told that I could pick Rosemary up that afternoon at 5:00.When I arrived to pick up Rosemary I asked a lady who was the owner or manager.She said the owner is Dr. Esneault and she will be in to talk with me.  I waited and waited.During this waiting period the doctor I had been dealing with came in along with anotherperson who claimed to be a doctor and if that wasn't enough, someone whoidentified herself only as "the office manager".  Realizing that Susan Muller Esneaultwas NOT going to show, I voiced my concerns and opinions. All three admited that Rosemary did not receive the pills. The so-called "office manager" laughed at metelling me she does not understand why I am so upset.  Very, VERY caring people!!!And funny, when I got home I looked at the bill and they CHARGED me for TWO days of pills!And then -   Rosemary's face was bruised, swollen and had liquid coming outof it!  Apparantly Rosemary DID object to pills being administered, andapparantly someone just hauled off and slapped her.  Yep, VERY caring people!  When Iasked about her face, they had NO idea how that happened! Susan Muller Esneault NEVER acknowledged the situation by coming in the room.  Veryprofessional.IF YOU LOVE YOUR PETS, DO NOT TAKE THEM TO DR. I read the reviews for the Animal Care Clinic Hospital and was really worried about going here after reading the reviews.  But this place was open on Sunday and my normal vet was closed.   I tried to get there at opening but got a late start and there were already three people in front of me when I arrived.  It was 30 minutes before being called back, which seems to be reasonable, lot better than when I go see my doctor.It was Dr. Anderson who saw us and he performed some tests on my dog, gave him an X-Ray, shot, and prescription. I can say I was pleased with my visit.  I was treated professionally, could have been a little less of a wait, but it was reasonable.  I'd go back if my vet wasn't available. Read Less

We just moved to Huntsville and I checked yelp for reviews to find a new vet.  There aren't alot of "good" reviews but al least the bad ones kept us from making the wrong decision.  We chose Animal Care Clinic really because its just around the corner from our house.  We used their grooming services first and they did a nice job on our schnauzers at a reasonable price.  We just had both of them checked out by the vet and again they did a good job with reasonable prices.  We're really spoiled because our last vet was the best.  I think we'll be happy with Animal Care Clinic.  By the way if you're ever in Ozark Alabama use the Ozark Vet Clinic...they are THE BEST.Update:  One of our dogs became seriously ill.  The vets at Animal Care went through the motions to treat him but were in way too big of a hurry to just put him down.  No compassion whatsoever.  We went to a different vet, Bentley Animal Hospital, and received the BEST care.  They tried for over a month to save out beloved pet but finally had to do what we dreaded.  We cried, they cried.  Animal Care just cashed the check.
