We provide friendly, caring, and quality veterinary service here at Animal Medical Clinic. Our trained staff are here to serve you and your pet. We are certified through the American Animal Hospital Association, which only a limited number of clinics can claim. Our doctors perform internal medicine, ultrasound,and soft tissue surgery as well as routine care and wellness visits. We offer the only Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner in our area and offer underwater treadmill therapy.

I really & truly have always had an excellent experience here & today's experience was extremely disappointing. I've learned that on the electronic signature there is a check box of consent for administering or taking care of additional concerns while your pet is under anesthesia. They emphasize the point they will call you & they did call me. I did return the call within 30mins. The electronic form gives them the right to do what they believe is necessary without additional consent if they are unable to reach you. I highly recommend not consenting to this & I definitely didn't fully grasp the concept of what they were saying. I understood it as in a life or death situation or maybe a little something extra that would cost a little extra. Honestly, my ignorance cost way more then I understood & lead to an extremely embarrassing situation for myself meet with hostility & deeply harsh words that literally had myself, my 4 year old , & 6 year old in tears. Most of the time, I am able to swing an additional few hundred dollars on a whime. Unfortunately, these few hundred dollars left me in fear of being unable to meet other more necessary obligations. The staff is caring & has always given my pup excellent care. If you choose to consent to additional treatments. Be prepared for the bill. I really wish I'd have been more prepared. During Moving & a refinance: additional childcare costs, funds are a little tighter then normal. "How much did you think a dental cleaning would cost?" Meekly $100, "you think it only cost $100.." like I was an idiot which admittedly I am cause I had NO clue the actual amount a dental cleaning would cost!!! a few hundred more & would have been closer to $800 if I didn't call when I did. It felt like I was being accused of saying the staff was lying & in reality I was saying there was miscommunication and wanted to find a compromise which basically lead to the threat of keeping my fur baby until I could pay in full. Ultimately, we worked out a compromise. The conflict to compromise just left me feeling very deflated, embarrassed, & emotionally exhausted.

The vets here are very talented, and everyone in the facility is nice to my dogs. If they notice something concerning about my dog, they call to tell me about it. They explain any health issues thoroughly and explain all of the options. They also refer dogs to other facilities when the dog would receive better specialized care there.

The people here were mostly friendly. They were able to get me in last minute when my dog got sick out of the blue. I felt like their prices were higher than they should be but, it’s been a little while since I’ve taken my dog to the vet for anything other than routine shots/checkups.
I did kind of get the feeling that they were trying to up-sell me on a lot of things and tests. Once I declined “extras,” though, they didn’t continue to push. So, I’d probably recommend this place to someone but would warn them of prices.

I was taking my dog to this vet for 3-4 months spent hundreds of dollars, multiple visits, with no results for my dogs allergies/skin condition.
At one point was told that I was not given the correct amount of medication and had to bring my dog back for yet another exam visit along with getting more medication that I paid for.
I waited close to 2 weeks to hear back from an office manager on this situation (she was sick and I completely understood, but it was still frustrating)
I remember checking out at one point and a lady came back inside saying her medication didn't look the same as before. When the front desk lady came back she said there was a mix up and they had filled the bottle with the wrong medication.
That was a huge red flag for me.
On top of a few other frustrating situations over those 3-4 months.
Took my dog to another vet in town and they were able to tell me exactly what was wrong in 1 visit and she is now starting to recover.
I recently went in there to purchase Brovecto for my dogs. My card was ran, then I was told they did not have any in stock and it will be there the next day.
In my opinion they should have made sure it was there before taking my payment.
When I showed up the next day they still did not have the Brovecto that I had already paid for and I ended up having to pay more for something different that they had in stock.
I had received many apologies over all the different situations but unfortunately I've given this place many chances and have yet to have a good experience.
It's a beautiful facility and the staff seemed polite, but I will no longer spend any amount of money at this facility.

The staff are amazing. We had to make the hard decision to euthanize our very loved Kitty and they were very compassionate and empathetic. They made the process as easy as they could for us. We chose to stay with Kitty until the end and also chose a personal cremation for her. I feel that they went above and beyond for us and my family and I can't thank them enough. I picked up Kitty today and was surprised with a mold of her paw print. People like these are who you want taking care of your fur babies. I truly believe the veterinarians, assistants, and staff are among the nicest and most caring individuals in the industry. They have such compassion and enthusiasm for what they do, are always welcoming, informative, patient, kind, and open with me. They also laugh at my jokes which is awfully kind of them. :) I've nearly been a resident there after getting two Bengal kittens checked out for the first time, including shots, vaccines, treatment for colds (both of them!), and then a hands-down easy neuter for both. I enjoy visiting this office, and my kittens are always welcomed with such enthusiasm and joy to the point that the staff are actually sad when I pick the boys up to take them home after a procedure. These people are truly wonderful and truly care about the animals that come into their office.

We especially appreciate Dr. Fastenrath's holistic approach to care, with medication being only part of a comprehensive wellness plan that includes physical therapy, behavior support and dietary changes to keep our pets happy, healthy and active as long as possible.

I have been a client of Dr. Lauren Grider's since 2008 when I took my little
recused Yorkshire Terrier in for her first real examination.
I knew immediately that Dr. Grider would be my vet of choice from then on.
She is the most caring and best vet I have ever had for any of my dogs.
She helped me with many strange diagnoses that Yorkies seem to have.
When Dr. Grider opened her office with Dr. Sheri Fastenrath we were excited to belong to that group. I now had two excellent vets to work with.
I have to say the support group they surround themselves with is also
amazing! The front office staff, vet techs and kennel techs plus the best groomer around continue to give you the respect and care like no other office ever has.

I can't say enough about this place. Even though my girl (cat of 15 years) ended up having to be put down, the care and professionalism of Animal Medical Clinic cannot be understated. Dr. Grider (known as the cat lady) was exceptional during my numerous visits at the end, and even called her contacts at Auburn University to hold the door open for me as we rushed down there on a Friday night for an MRI. When my cat developed a tilted-head syndrome and started falling into things, she and her staff kept a close eye on her, administering meds as needed, always taking my calls and providing me updates when my cat was in her care. She never told me what to do ultimately, but it was obvious she just wanted what was best for my girl. When the end finally came, I received a sympathy card with a personal note from Dr. Grider and signed by what I can only imagine was the entire staff. I highly recommend Animal Medical Clinic.

Don't come here late. They will scold you. And if your dog is active in between sessions, they will scold you. If you express a different opinion, they won't treat your dog anymore. My 14 month old puppy jumped into a pool and swam before a session. The tech was unhappy about it and said Ruby should not swim. When I explained she was an active puppy and I would not confine her because I thought it was cruel (she was confined for a week prior to her therapy & it was no fun for anybody), the tech disagreed and we got into a debate about it. I felt the back & forth was unproductive and ended it by asking for my dog so I could leave. The 2nd session, I was 20 minutes late because I missed the exit & went to the end of Hwy 53. Got scolded by the receptionist & the technician. Today, I was 1/2 hour late because I had a flat at midnight, got in at 3 a.m. & we overslept. Instead of telling me to just reschedule, they went ahead and took my dog but again scolded me for being late. I'd rather reschedule than hear that. I told them this would be Ruby's last appointment. After reconsidering (they are helping Ruby) I called them & told them that I'd rather reschedule than be scolded. I'm not a kid & know that I'm late. Rescheduling is better for me & said so. At first the manager, Christine, said OK to rescheduling rather than scolding but after we agreed to do that going forward, she then said I had been combative with her staff. She cited these 2 incidences and then told me not to bring Ruby back. Right... OK. Hmmmm... She said the doctor agreed. Thanks Doc :-( I do think they help dogs but I personally do not like being scolded when I'm late due to an anomaly or being scolded because I have an active puppy that I won't confine. Most of the therapy dogs they treat are not young puppies. So if you use these guys, DON'T BE LATE and if they tell you to not let your dog run & jump around, just say "OK." A different opinion than theirs will get you kicked out!

I went here because it's close to home and my kitty always has accidents in the car because she is so afraid to ride in the car. So when I got there the lady who checked me in was superrrr nice and gave me towels to clean my kitty up and took the crate to the back and washed it and put a pad in it for me. She was awesome but I don't know her name. The vet was also very kind and helpful (Sheri fastenrath). I will definitely go back!

I was visiting from out of state with family when my puppy got sick. They fit me in quickly and told me how to speed up the check in process. Everyone in the clinic was helpful and caring. They gave me an invoice with a "guesstimate" prior to starting any treatment so I would know ahead of time what the cost would be. I was very favorably impressed with the care and treatment given to my puppy, AND to me. I had an idea of what was possibly wrong with my puppy and had an idea of what tests and treatment was needed. (Thanks to research on the Internet.) They asked all the right questions and performed the prescribed treatments. I was given medicine to take home to continue treatment and they explained very well how to give the medicine. The cost was less than the guesstimate!! I highly recommend this clinic and the staff there.

I recently went in there to purchase Brovecto for my dogs. My card was ran, then I was told they did not have any in stock and it will be there the next day.
In my opinion they should have made sure it was there before taking my payment.
When I showed up the next day they still did not have the Brovecto that I had already paid for and I ended up having to pay more for something different that they had in stock.
I had received many apologies over all the different situations but unfortunately I've given this place many chances and have yet to have a good experience.
It's a beautiful facility and the staff seemed polite, but I will no longer spend any amount of money at this facility.

Dr. Sherry and Dr. Grider are very experienced in all stages of a pets life. They will research to find the most recent innovative medical procedures to assist with any medical issues that may arise. The staff are amazing. We had to make the hard decision to euthanize our very loved Kitty and they were very compassionate and empathetic. They made the process as easy as they could for us. We chose to stay with Kitty until the end and also chose a personal cremation for her. I feel that they went above and beyond for us and my family and I can't thank them enough. I picked up Kitty today and was surprised with a mold of her paw print. People like these are who you want taking care of your fur babies. I truly believe the veterinarians, assistants, and staff are among the nicest and most caring individuals in the industry. They have such compassion and enthusiasm for what they do, are always welcoming, informative, patient, kind, and open with me. They also laugh at my jokes which is awfully kind of them. :) I've nearly been a resident there after getting two Bengal kittens checked out for the first time, including shots, vaccines, treatment for colds (both of them!), and then a hands-down easy neuter for both. I enjoy visiting this office, and my kittens are always welcomed with such enthusiasm and joy to the point that the staff are actually sad when I pick the boys up to take them home after a procedure. These people are truly wonderful and truly care about the animals that come into their office.

We especially appreciate Dr. Fastenrath's holistic approach to care, with medication being only part of a comprehensive wellness plan that includes physical therapy, behavior support and dietary changes to keep our pets happy, healthy and active as long as possible.

I have been a client of Dr. Lauren Grider's since 2008 when I took my little
recused Yorkshire Terrier in for her first real examination.
I knew immediately that Dr. Grider would be my vet of choice from then on.
She is the most caring and best vet I have ever had for any of my dogs.
She helped me with many strange diagnoses that Yorkies seem to have.
When Dr. Grider opened her office with Dr. Sheri Fastenrath we were excited to belong to that group. I now had two excellent vets to work with.
I have to say the support group they surround themselves with is also
amazing! The front office staff, vet techs and kennel techs plus the best groomer around continue to give you the respect and care like no other office ever has.

Dr. Grider handles my tendency to panic very well and has embraced my boyfriends statistics and analytical thoughts on Madalynn's illness. We have felt welcomed and cared for by all of the staff and are so fortunate to have found a cat doctor!

I can't say enough about this place. Even though my girl (cat of 15 years) ended up having to be put down, the care and professionalism of Animal Medical Clinic cannot be understated. Dr. Grider (known as the cat lady) was exceptional during my numerous visits at the end, and even called her contacts at Auburn University to hold the door open for me as we rushed down there on a Friday night for an MRI. When my cat developed a tilted-head syndrome and started falling into things, she and her staff kept a close eye on her, administering meds as needed, always taking my calls and providing me updates when my cat was in her care. She never told me what to do ultimately, but it was obvious she just wanted what was best for my girl. When the end finally came, I received a sympathy card with a personal note from Dr. Grider and signed by what I can only imagine was the entire staff. I highly recommend Animal Medical Clinic.

Don't come here late. They will scold you. And if your dog is active in between sessions, they will scold you. If you express a different opinion, they won't treat your dog anymore. My 14 month old puppy jumped into a pool and swam before a session. The tech was unhappy about it and said Ruby should not swim. When I explained she was an active puppy and I would not confine her because I thought it was cruel (she was confined for a week prior to her therapy & it was no fun for anybody), the tech disagreed and we got into a debate about it. I felt the back & forth was unproductive and ended it by asking for my dog so I could leave. The 2nd session, I was 20 minutes late because I missed the exit & went to the end of Hwy 53. Got scolded by the receptionist & the technician. Today, I was 1/2 hour late because I had a flat at midnight, got in at 3 a.m. & we overslept. Instead of telling me to just reschedule, they went ahead and took my dog but again scolded me for being late. I'd rather reschedule than hear that. I told them this would be Ruby's last appointment. After reconsidering (they are helping Ruby) I called them & told them that I'd rather reschedule than be scolded. I'm not a kid & know that I'm late. Rescheduling is better for me & said so. At first the manager, Christine, said OK to rescheduling rather than scolding but after we agreed to do that going forward, she then said I had been combative with her staff. She cited these 2 incidences and then told me not to bring Ruby back. Right... OK. Hmmmm... She said the doctor agreed. Thanks Doc :-( I do think they help dogs but I personally do not like being scolded when I'm late due to an anomaly or being scolded because I have an active puppy that I won't confine. Most of the therapy dogs they treat are not young puppies. So if you use these guys, DON'T BE LATE and if they tell you to not let your dog run & jump around, just say "OK." A different opinion than theirs will get you kicked out!

I went here because it's close to home and my kitty always has accidents in the car because she is so afraid to ride in the car. Was hoping this being close by would help her but sadly she still messed. So when I got there the lady who checked me in was superrrr nice and gave me towels to clean my kitty up and took the crate to the back and washed it and put a pad in it for me. She was awesome but I don't know her name. The vet was also very kind and helpful (Sheri fastenrath). I will definitely go back!

I was visiting from out of state with family when my puppy got sick. They fit me in quickly and told me how to speed up the check in process. Everyone in the clinic was helpful and caring. They gave me an invoice with a "guesstimate" prior to starting any treatment so I would know ahead of time what the cost would be. I was very favorably impressed with the care and treatment given to my puppy, AND to me. I had an idea of what was possibly wrong with my puppy and had an idea of what tests and treatment was needed. (Thanks to research on the Internet.) They asked all the right questions and performed the prescribed treatments. I was given medicine to take home to continue treatment and they explained very well how to give the medicine. The cost was less than the guesstimate!! I highly recommend this clinic and the staff there.
