I've been taking all three of my pets here since 2016. The staff is generally nice but not great on following through. I had to put my elderly dog to sleep and tried calling multiple times over the ...
I've been taking all three of my pets here since 2016. The staff is generally nice but not great on following through. I had to put my elderly dog to sleep and tried calling multiple times over the course of two weeks to ask about my options. I also went in and no one was ever available. I never got any calls back, it seems like the communication there has devolved. It is really stressful as all my pets are elderly and I know that this is just the start of a hard next couple years caring for the ones I have left. I really didn't appreciate the lack of response and I don't think that I should have to make an appointment and bring my dog in to discuss putting him to sleep. I'm not keen on bringing my pet into a pet store to put him to sleep, so I had to find another vet to help us. I will no longer be using them for my vet care, they have shown me with their lack of response that the needs of my animals are not a priority if they aren't getting paid to discuss it over the phone.

I've been taking all three of my pets here since 2016. The staff is generally nice but not great on following through. I had to put my elderly dog to sleep and tried calling multiple times over the course of two weeks to ask about my options. I also went in and no one was ever available. I never got any calls back, it seems like the communication there has devolved. It is really stressful as all my pets are elderly and I know that this is just the start of a hard next couple years caring for the ones I have left. I really didn't appreciate the lack of response and I don't think that I should have to make an appointment and bring my dog in to discuss putting him to sleep. I'm not keen on bringing my pet into a pet store to put him to sleep, so I had to find another vet to help us. I will no longer be using them for my vet care, they have shown me with their lack of response that the needs of my animals are not a priority if they aren't getting paid to discuss it over the phone.

We are on vacation and our dog had an infected puncture wound. Blood and puss was sreaming out of the wound. The first Banfield hosp I called said they were booked. I explained the emergency and they still said they were full and could it see him. Then I called this Banfield. Even though they were also fully booked, they got him in right away, treated the wound, gave him antibiotics and really cared. Thank you!!!!

We had our dog in for fleas as over the counter wasn't working. Vet suggested he get his rabies shot while we were there (wasn't due for 6 mos). Didn't notice until later when the groomer noted it was nearly expired, that the vet only gave us 1 year rather than 3 this time. (This was not his first shot, he had a previous 3 year shot).
Asked Banfield about it, and while it's the exact same vaccine, because we had it 6 mos early, they only do the certificate for a year. "Vets discretion". Ridiculous. Sounds like a great way to make some money, because we didn't sign up for their wellness plan they tried pushing on us at the visit.

I can't say bad things about the staff in terms of them having very positive attitudes and being very nice, however I will never take another pet to them. We adopted a cat that began getting dry patch...
I can't say bad things about the staff in terms of them having very positive attitudes and being very nice, however I will never take another pet to them. We adopted a cat that began getting dry patches and was losing fur, they insisted that it was ringworm gave us a cream to treat it which helped for a very short term. We took her back and it was the same thing.
What I found odd is that ringworm is very contagious, my wife my daughter and myself are very susceptible to it when exposed and none of us got it nor did our dog or other cat. I questioned the diagnosis from the beginning, but mistook them as the professionals. I then told my wife that I had a suspicion that her diet didn't include enough fish oil (mind you, I have no veterinary training whatsoever) so I got better food with the primary ingredient being fish.
$200 to Banfield with no results, a hunch and a little more money for cat food and improvement was seen in just a couple days; within 2 weeks the cat is happy and completely covered with fur. I can't endorse a place that charges for shotty guesswork.
