Dr. Chancellor has an arrogant, passive aggressive attitude towards humans - especially women. I can usually overlook this kind of socially awkward, OCD personality but when he didn't know of an alternative treatment for heart worms that other "fresher" veterinarians knew of and when advising him of this, he has this grimace like look on his face like I just told him the sky was purple and immediately disagreed - I took my business elsewhere. Always good to educate yourself and not be too proud or to stubborn to do so - I've been an occupational therapist for a long time but I can always learn new things and be open to the possibility of something new. Maybe he can't learn new behaviors or bedside manners BUT as a professional, he MUST be open to new treatments to give all patients the best treatment possible. Prices are pretty steep too. The all woman staff is pretty nice but you can tell they are extremely timid of the "Boss". Read Less

Dr.Jim Chancellor is rude, arrogant, has no bedside manner with animals or humans. He does not answer giuven questions. He has no compassion for the animals. Dr. Chancellor made me feel very uncomfortable, due to his negative attitude and the way he interacted with me and my pets. I would not recomend this veterinarian to anyone that loves their animals. I never do reviews, and let me start out by saying my dog was never mistreated. However, that is absolutely where the positives stop. On my initial visit, the veterinarian saw a human being and provided medical advice. It was a scheduled appt. I know cause it pushed mine back 30 mins. Not sure if this is normal, but it made me a little uncomfortable for reasons I honestly can't explain. Just seemed really weird. When we got to see the vet he was very passive aggressive toward my knowledge of how to care for an animal or as he assumed my lack thereof. Never personally insulted me by any means but passively insinuated I was not a vet and should keep my comments to myself. When I left i was told the dog needed to come back in a week. I asked about prices and reasons. I was told by the receptionist that if I stopped by and got the medicine and did not have the medicine administered by the doc it would only be $5. Being on a budget I decided to do that. I was advised to still make an appt in the event my dog was not getting better. Well a week later, I was kicked out at the threat of calling the cops with a $26 charge because I was questioning why the price went up $21. The answer I got was they do not administer meds over the counter. And the vet said he was not going to argue and then asked if I would like the cops called. Baffled at how quickly he got defensive I said yes please. He got angrier, and told me to leave. He said he asked his workers who said it would only be $5 and both of them denied ever saying such a thing. Of course not, why would they right? Again, my animal was treated fine and is getting healthier. But the customer service, lies, anger toward me over questions about price, and seeing a human being before seeing my dog are what led to this ZERO star rating. I do not write this out of anger, simply out of working in the customer service industry for a long time and spreading the word that if you want to be treated well, do not go here.
