If you care about your baby don’t take them here! I saw Dr. Woods for a mass that had come up on my boys rear leg along with scabs that flare up all over his stomach. He examined him without running any tests on him at all, and told me the mass was just a swollen lymph node on his back leg. He looked at the scabs on him and told me they were “ant bites” and that the “swollen lymph node” was probably due to the ant bites. He sent me home without having anything done to further examine the mass. I felt like something wasn’t right after about a week when it had increased in size, so I went to get a second opinion at another vet. They immediately did an aspirate of the mass and told me that it was a mast cell tumor! It has since increased in size in such a short amount of time, and he is currently scheduled to have his leg amputated because of it! I have since switched his food to raw which has completely cleared up the skin issues he was having. This doctor does not care about your babies and only cares about trying to push Science Diet on you at every visit. I have heard from SEVERAL sources that he doesn’t like to diagnose “pink elephants.” Read Less

My co-worker took her dog here after noticing a round mass on his back leg. Dr Woods didn't do any tests and said it was probably nothing to worry about. Thank God my co-worker got a second opinion. It was a cancerous tumor that needed to be removed ASAP! I am appalled at the lack of concern for something that turned out to be life threatening to the dog. I have been taking my older dog here for many years, and have recently established a rescue we added to the family in January. We love all the staff, both doctors, and even the office cats! The staff at Companion really take the time to understand what is going on when our dogs are not feeling well, and very patiently explain what the problem is and what we can do for preventative measures. We even get follow up phone calls to check and see how our dogs are doing a few days after any visit for illness or injury. We have always been able to be seen same day when needed, and have never had to wait a long time once we get to the office. Read Less

I'm pretty sure that if someone from this staff reads this they will have an idea who wrote it LOL, but I want to be honest so here ya go . I have 5 dogs and 1 bearded dragon . I have taken all of my animals to Companion since 2003! The staff although halls changed over the many years is amazing ! Careing , curtious and always willing to help. They don't judge you for not doing things they reccommend , and truly provide insite to new products that may help. I truly trust them with all of my animals , and will never change vets ! I love this place. I will be moving to SE Huntsville soon and will have to find another vet closer to my new location. These folks are friendly, professional and their service is fast. I really like Companion.  The vet is so nice, polite, and of course has a great "bed side manner" with our dogs.  Getting in and out is really easy too.  If you call in the morning and want to bring your dogs in that day it isn't a problem.  They will make room for you.Recently I had a 9am appt and I was back in my car with my happy pup by 9:12.  That's not always the standard because it certainly depends on what you're bringing your dog in for, but there's no 30 minute wait in the waiting room then another 30 minute wait in the back for the vet.  They really seem to care about getting your pets healthy and happy as fast as possible.The place isn't quite as clean as vet places I've seen in the past, but they do see a lot of animals in and out everyday so it really doesn't bother me that much.
