My maltipoo is very anxious, especially around new people. When Charlie started "School" (daycare), they made sure to make him feel comfortable. They allowed me to bring a blanket from home for him to sleep on. They also gave him plenty of love and affection. Now Charlie LOVES going to school to play. The vets are fabulous as well. Just moved here and am very pleased with the care my dogs received here. I had read the reviews and thought let's try it out. Unlike where we came from, I thought the prices were very reasonable and if anything the doctor made sure I wasn't paying for vaccinations my dogs didn't need here. We cannot say enough amazing things about the knowledgeable and loving care our senior dog received. She needed immediate care(not an emergency) and we were not able to travel to our vet of MANY years. After our visit we have decided to switch to the Pet Hospital of Madison despite receiving a 30% loyalty discount at our old vet. The Pet Hospital of Madison and their staff are that good! Our girl was treated for the same ongoing issues with skin allergies, skin and ear infection, and arthritis that she has been treated for for several years. I've had a hard time finding a place that takes just dogs and cats and I finally found this place. I have 2 guinea pigs and they never gotten a check up because I didn't know where to go but my guinea pig that is now passed away (October 14,2016) was sick and we bought her in to get her checked it was nothing they could do but they sent us a sympathy card and my heart melted. One of the most important qualities in a vet is trusting the owner and she has this. I brought one of our guinea pigs for the first time to The Pet Hospital of Madison yesterday, and from scheduling the appointment with Ruth, to being seen by Dr. Brown, I was very impressed. Our pig was unfortunately past the point of saving due to pneumonia when I brought him in, but the way Dr. Brown and the rest of the staff treated not only Skittles but also me in my frazzled state, was exceptional. Dr. Brown laid out treatment options and was honest with what might and might not work, all while being caring and not condescending. Dr. Lawrence is great and it's obvious that she deeply cares for animals. She is by far the best veterinarian I've been to: She thoroughly explains everything and it's clear that she knows exactly what she's doing.
